Ok I’m seriously obsessed with this new technique!! But I have a question, with the plastic wrap underneath and then the napkin etc etc can this only be used on wood? Can the wood be painted? And can this be done on a piece of metal? Thanks my girl! This by far was my favorite! Your moms table came out absolutely gorgeous! And that little purse hanger you made yourself I think I’m going to attempt making 😮 haha 🥰🤗
I recently read another way to decoupage with mod podge. Put the mod podge on the surface and let it dry. When it’s dry, put the napkin/paper/fabric down and using either an iron or heat press, press the material down. Supposedly the heat will warm the mod podge enough that it will stick without bubbles. I haven’t tried it, but the theory sounds like it would work.
Congratulations on 100k. Love how these came out. I have a slight napkin obsession. Lol 😆 Decoupaging is my favorite way to craft. There are so many different techniques to recouping. My favorite is the dry modge podge and iron. Another favorite is the cling wrap. Iron the cling wrap under your paper or napkin. No liquid needed. Great video❤
Thank you for sharing the different ways to decoupage. I learn something new every time I watch your videos. I think the black and white napkin would have been really cute done directly in the middle of the board. I loved the napkin itself. ❤️
I think the table was my favorite, it might be because I had a table like that once upon a time and if I'd known these tricks back then, I would still have that table. Great job❤️
Thank you very much for this tip. I have been wanting to do this forever but have not found napkins that have the pattern throughout. I went of Amazon, but they are outrageous not that the napkin manufacturers figured that crafters are using them for this purpose. I'll look in $tree, but haven't ever seen much there. Thanks again! Love your videos.
I do a similar thing with tissue paper because I don't have a lot of pretty napkins. I also covered a small paper mache' mannequin with tissue paper. I also fuse tissue paper to the shiny side of white freezer paper with an iron (using a press cloth). Could do this with napkins also. Then you can make cards with matching envelopes out of the "new paper" you have made. Taught a class on this years ago at a stamp store and we all had a great time. Don't remember what setting we did on the iron though. Will have to start looking for pretty napkins. Thanks!
These turned out beautiful! I can never just pick 1. Have you ever tried the technique where you put mod podge down and let it dry and then whatever you are using lay on top and then you a easy press or iron to the top and it warms up the mod podge and it sticks whatever you are using down. I love it because it doesn’t leave bubbles and wrinkles. Thank you for sharing. Congratulations on 100k.
That little table for your mum was absolutely the best! I really want to try the napkin trick, but a little concerned it might shred instead of going on nice and smooth like yours did. maybe before I tackle one of my antique tables, I will try it on a piece of Dollar Tree wood first, just to make sure I'm doing the technique as you did. Thank you for the tutorials, and congratulations on 100K.
I've seen you & other designers do these decoupage projects using these beautiful napkins, but I have several rolls of thin wrapping paper with designs that I'd like to use. Have you ever used wrapping paper on your decoupage projects? Especially larger pieces, like furniture? Are there any tips you would recommend for using that instead of napkins?
I love all of these! Can you use the same technique with the plastic wrap under the napkin and the parchment paper on top with ironing it. On wood as well as plastic cutting boards? Or only plastic? Would love to know the answer to this question. Can anyone answer please? 💝🥰🤗
Do you use Daran Wrap or any Plastuc Wrap? Also when you say shrink wrap are you talking about Saran Wrap? I think of Shrink Wrap ad the stuff you use for gift baskets! Ty so much
@@diybeautyonpurpose Don't thank me. I didn't watch very much. I saw "genius" and assumed it was something groundbreaking. Unfortunately, I saw you attach a napkin to a fake cutting board. Bless your heart dear.

I recently heard the same thing. Will have to try it! Thank you so much
It works
Yes, this works great!
Used this technique too but you have to put a piece of paper like bakers paper line pans with before you use iron or it can burn them.

The cutting board was made from wood. I'm still learning about the technique, but I'd say wood is safe, but I'd stay away from plastic as it may melt.
Wow I’ve ever seen this technique! Thank you ! Great ideas too! I’m a sub now 🎉😂😊
Awesome! Thank you so much ❤️. And welcome!!
Have to try that mod podge idea❤
Thank you so much ❤️
I have an old table that looks just like that one!!!! Did you have to sand it to prep for the chalk paint?
That's wonderful. No, just cleaned it. Thank you so much for watching ❤️

Hi!! I used the Walmart brand plastic saran wrap. I did say shrink wrap, not sure why. 😂

Is it plastic wrap your using.? You refer to it as shrink wrap. Your projects are beautiful.
Yes. I said it wrong 🤦🏻♀️😆
