I'm subbing to your channel because this is a great idea....and, I hope to further annoy all the tree huggers that are whining about your tiny use of plastic. 🤭😂❤
Wow! I'm so grateful to wonderful people like you who have inquisitive minds and are not afraid to try and even sometimes I'm sure fail but push on then share the results. As I go into retirement I have all these project ideas to keep me entertained and stave off mental decline 😄☺🌹💖💖
Thank you so much for watching. Glad you enjoyed.
I have used cereal bags it makes them look antique . there are different shade to the bags.they do well also.
Great idea
When you use the cereal bags, I can see where they may be better to DECREASE the GLOSSINESS, BUT do they do anything to deter the FOGGINESS?? And has anyone tried PARCHMENT PAPER? Or PHOTO PAPER (Gloss OR Matte?? I o f t e n find THESE in the "thrift stores). Thanks for everyone's input!!
When I was a kid - MANY moons ago, we used to do this with clear Contac paper! Later in college, we did a similar process with the clear Contac paper and photo emulsion for silkscreening.
Such a fun process. Thanks so much for watching.
I was using a similar technique in the 70’s to make overhead transparencies from magazines for college. Nice to see the new take on it. ❤
That is so cool! I love that it is a retro technique!
The scrapbook paper on the glass jar was gorgeous! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed
I have been using the clear shelf liner that comes on a roll for years. I can seal it with the iron. I have covered thin boards front and back and used a heat gun to melt and seal the edges.
I'm not sure if it's cheaper than using sandwich bags, but it is thicker and doesn't take 2 sheets and twice the labor.
Great tips thanks for watching Cynthia
I think that the shelf paper is easier to work with because it has more body to it than the bag.
It reminds me of Water slide paper.
Also works as transfer tape with my Cricut
Is the finish glossy or matte? TY! 👍👋🥰
Seems like this method works especially well for aged and antique type projects. Another good tool in the arsenal.
I just like people like you so artistic creative and trying to recycle or upcycle things!! I ❤🌎😊 i like o
All your ideas!! 👏👏👏
Thanks i like experimenting too. In my case i wanna upcycle plastic bottles. I'm on the try😀. Waiting for more videos dear lady💙
Regards from Argentina!
Thank you so much 😀
Really liked how the scrapbook paper turned out. Has a antique look. Thank you for sharing this technique. Will definitely try it. 😊👍🤗
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed Judy
Your cost-effective transfer techniques are awesome! It is amazing how you have been able to accomplish this and makes you so special for sharing these with your UA-cam audience. Can't thank you enough!😃🥰
Thank you so much!
I so enjoy your techniques in crafting, you explain your thoughts and instructions so thoroughly.
Happy Spring!!
Thank you so much!
This is an economical idea. You can do this with gel medium as well. Three layers, then sponge off the paper. You'll be left with a transparent transfer. It's great for magazine paper.
Does your technique come out GLOSSY?? Would changing to a MATTE GEL MEDIUM give me a MATTE look, I wonder??
I am just in awe of your transfer methods. Your videos are great and the instructions you give are very clear and easy to follow. 💜💜
Thank you so much!
Thank you for showing this. It isn’t nearly as opaque as I would like so I am glad I got to watch you doing it before doing it myself.
Yes it is a bit cloudy
Thanks so much for sharing this idea. I watched your packing tape method, but like this better because it’s not restricted by the size of the tape. Much appreciation.
Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed
Thank you so much for sharing your ideas!!

Omgosh it almost makes it look like it's printed on vellum! I love this!

Hi 👋 ❤ Your a genius!!! That’s a great 👍 idea 💡!!!
Thank you! 🤗
I love the military styles you made to print.
yes and plastic wrap works well for this technique also. thanks for sharing
Yes it will
this is really neat! I would also try printing on colored paper - you would get a slightly different tint to that slight haze that remains on the plastic and could plan for it to coordinate with the project
I bet it would
I love this idea, thankyou for sharing 🕊️
You are so welcome!
This crazy fun. Very different look.
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed Margaret

Great experiment - the glass result was my favorite and wondered how a faux tea light would look like inside the glass jar
Glad you enjoyed
Great idea! Are there any toxic fumes from the melting plastic when you iron it?
Wauuu que alegría me dió el vídeo en español.😊
Hope it was translated well! I love being able to share my videos in different languages ❤️

What a cool idea. I don’t have a jet ink printer but I could do this with other things. Although I wish I did have the jet ink printer as there’s so much you can do with on your crates. You almost make want to go get one LOL. Thanks for all your great ideas. ♥️😊👍🌟🎄
Thanks so much for watching Shelly!
We learned a similar technique using clear contact paper and magazine pics. Rub very hard over the pic, then water soak...
We made slides (to project on screen-aging myself). Thanks for reminding me of this memory. I really like your technique, think the results are great!
Thanks for sharing yes contact paper will work well
I did this too, many years ago in a class for elementary teachers.
Artex did the same thing with wrapping paper , simple to do and we made hundreds of little wall hangings.
Ah this is great. I love photo transfers! So many cool uses. Thanks
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed
I love your peg board frame! Excellent idea.
Thanks so much!
Really COOL 😎!! Thanks dear, Kathylyn from N Mississippi ❤
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed Kathy
I like the way the melted plastic looks old and rough on the paper. Thanks for this great idea
Yes i love it also!
Great idea. I just can't be doing with the rubbing part... 😊
I saw how you did it. Thanks. Always love new ideas

Respecting, Appreciating and Loving the Ocean and it's residents, I DO NOT BUY TRASH PLASTIC. That is the sure way to end the plastic travesty. Big Business won't sell what people won't buy. Is it easy? NO. But it is so far beyond worth it the word needs to be invented to describe joining the movement to conquer this crisis. I use only glass jars from food products or mason jars for food storage and for many beautiful crafts and other uses. I crochet or use quilted material to make holders to put the jars in that protect them even if I drop them. Even a lovely plastic craft becomes old and tossed in time. It's nice to give a friend a glass jar or two of food to take home not wondering if the plastic container will end up adding to the plastic disaster. The glass jars I use if ending in the OCEAN are broken and make sea glass people love to collect. Or if unbroken, land on a rock shelf or bottom maybe becoming a safe haven for the intelligently sentient octopus, or hundreds of other OCEAN life. I wish you had to see a beautiful whale dead on the beach with an autopsy revealing it's body filled with killing one-use and trash plastic, meaning it died a painful and starving death before it's time. Plastic bags and bottles and other popular small plastic products that float through the OCEANS imitating food sources are a #1 priority in getting responsible for all life on Earth. There won't be life without the OCEANS. Recycling has so many negatives and failures. If it worked why are there at least 5 Plastic Garbage Patches in our Oceans? One in the INDIAN OCEAN, 2 in the ATLANTIC OCEAN and 2 in the PACIFIC OCEAN. Not only are these Plastic Patches killing the life in our OCEANS thereby starving millions of humans dependent on their livelihood from the OCEANS to feed and support their families, the climate is also affected disastrously.
Some plastic patches, as in the NORTH PACIFIC, are as huge as SPAIN, FRANCE and GERMANY COMBINED! OCEAN CLEANUP Scientists closely estimated the last Patch they worked on was 620,000 square miles!
May you develop beautiful and imaginative craft videos for helping our OCEANS and WATERWAYS become healthy and balanced again for our future generations, as you are very good at teaching. I could never do what you do. I can only write begging for people to care and research the true facts. Please teach crafts without plastic or it's products like foam noodles, etc. Research where tests have found foam particles in CHILDREN'S BODIES as well as OCEAN MAMMALS. And remember plastic use as in the microwave, for example, is a factor in cancer and possibly in immune disfunctions. Please think over the effects of the multiple thousands of craft videos featuring trash plastic and the resulting millions of plastic sales. For our OCEANS and it's RESIDENTS. PLEASE.
All you had to do was scroll on.
I have so much fun watching your videos... I'm always like.... "Ohhhhh, what?!?!"... lol You need to have a B&B so that we can come and play!!! :) Thank you for your videos
So glad you enjoyed!! 🇨🇦 come visit and craft lol!
You always have the best ideas. Out of the box ideas ! Thank you

Wow what a wonderful technique, never through I can do that, could this be transfer on to fabric as well? Thanks 😊
I have not experimented with that, but it would be worth a try
Thank you for sharing this amazing little transfer.
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed
that is so awesome- I will most definatly have a go at that today- Thanks for sharing your talent🌻
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed
This is cool, I do the same technique with packing tape. No iron needed!
Great tip!
Nice tips, thank you.
My pleasure!
Excellent idea!!! Your a talented woman xxx
Thanks so much Catherine I appreciate the compliment
Thank you for showing us another technique, I have been learning lots on this channel 🙂
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed Nancy
Whatever transfers you make how do you use these? Please make a video showing projects where these can be used
The cool thing about the sandwich bag method is that you can see these onto things❤
It's so good!
Wow what an awesome budget friendly DIY. Love from NB!
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed Brenda! Hello from Ontario
Thanks for sharing this technique! Cant wait to try it. Especially love the glass jar one.
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed Emily
That's awesome! Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I don't know if you have a Xyron machine, but my daughter bought one for me. It turns nearly anything into stickers.
I dont but looks cool. Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed
Love all your videos!! I learn so much from you! Ty for sharing
I'm noticing the similarities between transfer options. For one, ink jet printing is common. Then, even with Mod Podge, the paper rubbing is part of the prcoess. Thanks for the plastic bag idea - it would not only be less glossy thank packing tape, but allow for larger transfers.
Yes exactly
All nicely done… wow. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can you do this method for t-shirts if not which is best method to use ?
This is a great idea, thank you so much!!
Glad it was helpful!
Out of curiosity could you instead of glueing it down use an iron and parchment paper and adhere it that way possibly to an item. I love the ironing of plastic wrap and paper to projects I kinda think this would work too. I love all you do very much, thank you for sharing.
Would be worth testing and trying it out
It would definitely work if you put another layer of plastic between the decal and what you wanted to stick it to.
@@billiecampbell8425 I use plastic wrap.. I put one piece down before my transfer and another after, using parchment paper..
I’ve done this with just applying clear mac tac paper, and then wet it and rubbed it. I didn’t use an iron.
I just use cellotape/clear packing tape/scotch tape
Amazing video you show close up and good to see how its done?
Glad you liked it
👍 good job!
Thanks!
Like the stuff you do! Thanks!
I appreciate that!
Very interesting technique. Thanks for sharing.
Glad this video was helpful! Thanks for watching
I was trying to think when the heck I’d use something like this. The jar with the floral paper hit me excited for Mod Podge
Glad you enjoyed thanks for watching
U are a genius! I love this!
Lots of fun 🤩
Nice idea for those who do not have a laminator.
They turned out wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching ! Glad you enjoyed Cherie
GENIUS......SPOT ON
Thanks for watching
Thabk u, very cool and satisfying 😌
Glad you enjoyed!
It looks strong enough to sew through. Do you think they’d hold up as patches on scrappy cuffs?
Maybe. Haven’t tried but wouldn’t be washable
That’s so cool. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
New subscriber and I love that this video popped up in my feed. Can’t wait to try this!
So glad you found me! Love new crafting friends. Hope you find lots of great content
You inspire me! MountainAngel CA USA
That is awesome!
Ever neat!! what if you used those clear sleeves we use in binders! 🤔
Sure can!
I remember back to the days when I was a kid in the 1960's - transfer from printed paper to plain paper using lighter fluid.
Yes I remember that also thanks for watching
Thankyou for sharing 🤗
Neat idea. You should test it with greenhouse plastic. That plastic has a useful life of about 4 years. After that it usually has to be replaced as it starts to have holes or tear etc. You could get use of the plastic to grow food, and then upcycle the used plastic for this or other ideas.
Wowzer!What a brainwave!Thk u for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
YOU GO GIRL!!!!!! best ideas!!
What do you do to keep the tape showing on the tape transfers????
Love it great idea shared
Glad you enjoyed Judy thanks so much for watching
