Interesting, the 34 usually cleans the screen up good right out of the box without adjustment. That thermocline is strong on your screen. Normally color gain high, with color gain low is a winner. Might want to try shutting off tvg with noise reject on medium...
Some days nothing helps🤷♂️

Awsome video you are litterly a pro at what you do. I try scoping crappie and catch only little fish. I'm fishing Truman Lake in Missouri. Idk how to find the big crappies?
Also what size jigs do you use? I tried contacting Big time crappie baits to purchase me some but he has never answered back. ☹️

wow! thanks for that compliment! I use 1/8 oz yr round. I like to keep it simple and i almost always find 25 willing to bite. I’m sorry about BIG TIME , i messaged him and let him know. He said he’s been swamped! Don’t know a thing about truman but my first choice on any lake is flooded timber in deepest water. I pass on large groups of crappie. For me the bigger fish seem to be loners or may hang with 1 or 2 big buddies😎 Finally i use the ALL ABOARD MOUNT

@@GoFishwithCharlieBurrow Thank you so much for your response. One thing about our lake is it's all submerged timber. So it's alot harder to find those big ones.
But do you use the same pattern for late fall and winter? Just fishing deep timber?

i do pretty much stay in flooded timber. Once the winter pattern sets in and fish move deep deep i have one lake that the giants will leave the timber and follow baitfish in open water. Chasin Chikens is awesome!!

Turn your grid pattern on and set your depth about 10-15ft past your depth and look for the bigger marks. When you have your depths set too low or your look out range set too close all the fish look big. When you set the depth a little further than the bottom you will be able to differentiate the dinks from the bigs
@@JD-bu7vt yup thank you. I learned this a couple months ago and started slaying nice sized crappies. Livescope takes some experience to learn. But once I learned it. It was game on. One thing That I also had a problem on was having my livescope on a separate mount. I have it on my trolling motor and it's way way better, because my hands are free and I just use the trolling motor to get on the fish.

Charlie I just watched one of your best narrative videos and can’t find it again. You were on no can tell and was putting your fish in a blue cooler setting right beside you. I just can’t seem to call it back up. Duh. Can you tell me the title of it so I can pull it back up. It was one of your best with a lot of scope time and specific details about changing baits and colors.

That’s it. I learned to change colors when they don’t hit. I have been passing to next fish just assuming they weren’t biting. You got it figured out my man. I enjoy all your screen shots with comments. Almost like being out there myself.

Have you noticed any change in fish behavior from being farther away from the fish than being closer to them?
Hey Steve. My favorite saying is “crappie are the most consistently inconsistent animal on the planet”! They change day to day,heck sometimes during the day or from one part of the lake to another. I’ve seen them spook at 30’ and other times let you sit right on top of them. I’ve discussed this with some of the best crappie fishermen in the country. Many theories but nothing concrete. Remains a mystery to me🤷♂️

Thats not a challenge. That livescope takes most of the challenge out of fishing. It's almost like shooting fish in a barrel. To each his own but I personally don't care for it.
Daaaang Adam why don’t you tell us how you really feel about livescope🤣 Honestly i felt the same way until i fished with a buddy that had it. All i know is i sold a deer rifle,climbing stand,meat processing equipment,and had my sleeve rolled up to give blood so i could buy one! I absolutely love it&have yet to meet anyone that doesn’t feel the same after going with me. I hope you catch all the law allows,every time you go.
