I have only been out 1 time in my own yard and 1 other time yesterday in a state park. I found your video trying to figure out what I was missing with the pinpointer on the simplex. My handheld was working but the simplex one was all over the place or not even working. I thought I was doing something wrong, thank you for the video.
You can search for other tips on pinpointing targets from other youtubers too. The way I pinpoint is just one of many ways to pinpoint. I am so glad I could help you. Good luck and happy hunting Jim!!
I do the same thing wow going on my first year with the Simplex, You have helped me a great deal Thank you waiting on my new Phoenix and then look out lol.
You are on the right track. The Phoenix will greatly increase your finds rate after a few hunts. It does take a little learning to stab the shovel in the right depth each stab.
The Simplex with all of it's benefits, will bring you grief. I've always said, "For every advantage, there is a disadvantage " You certainly have a handle on the Simplex. Excellent video, thanks for that.. Garnet
Hey man....this is the video my wife watched today before going out with her new simplex....She found a ring her first time out with the new machine. She credits you for the help.....not all of the hours I have tried to show her things,,,, but then again she knows I watch your videos....so she gave you the credit for the ring find....LOL... Keep it up MAN.......

Hello Jeremy , great video excellent advice how big is the sweet spot of the coil on the simplex ?
It matters how fast you swing, the soil you are hunting in and how deep the target is.
So many beeps the whole time. How can you even tell if it’s a target or not?
Hours of detecting. each machine has it's nuances
