Yeeaaaah buddy. Nickelback are legit. Genuinely one of the most fun live concerts I’ve been to. Their sound is phenomenal, they’re funny, there’s pyro, it’s just a good time man.
This album was overall heavier than most of their stuff. Not that the songs were heavier, but the Al I’m more heavy songs. You should check out their remix of “devil went down to Georgia”. It’s metal.
*It's amazing how ppl who have influence on the opinions of others made Nickelback such a hated band for nothing. I can't tell you how many ppl say Nickelback sucks. Then a song comes on by them and they're like "well this song's a cool one." When I ask which ones suck...silence. So basically ppl think Nickelback sucks because someone else said they did for whatever reason. I have yet to meet anyone who believes that after they actually listen to them.*
I remember when I was younger one of the very first CD's I bought for my Walkman was the album The Long Road by Nickelback my favourite from them. Pretty heavy album Drop C tuning! \m/. Never understood the hate for Nickelback they are great musicians!
Always lol. My favorite album is probably Curb. Just because I heard it a lot growing up. A lot of their hits are obviously good or probably better tbh, just curb has a place with me
I remember when I first saw Chad break out the 7-string Explorer I was like "Oh, shit!". I've always been a Nickelback fan with the exception of a handful of songs but I don't understand the hate they get. Same goes for Creed. Both great bands.
As someone who started listening to Nickelback during the Curb days, they have some killer fucking riffs.. their guitar work is phenomenal.... yeah, theyve made alot of softer tracks, but for the most part, they have a plethora of heavier kick ass music.
The album this is from is definitely darker, heavier and more mature in tone than most of their albums. Sorry to disappoint.... but there is no Act II. Don't think we'll ever be getting one either, for some reason 😕 Last year they released their 4th album since the 2010's started, making it album #10 overall. If you want another heavy recommendation, check out This Means War from the Here and Now Album. Has an actual breakdown in it haha
Nickelback has always been great. I mean people’s taste in music is subjective obviously but I find that peoples perception of the band’s been warped due to influence and people jumping on the hate bandwagon and sometimes it happens without them even noticing. Objectively they’ve always been incredible artists. I feel like their music has grown with me and my own tastes…😌 The guys themselves just seem so chill and humble and have great sense of humour. They’ll always be one of my favourite bands.
Best known song has mind-numbingly simplistic rhymes, and the growly voice is a horrid mismatch that just makes it sound like the singer needs to clear his throat. Laughing at a photo is not the lyric for a growl of passion. That's why, at least for me. This song hits different like they finally found their sound!
Nickleback have always been talented, they just choose to play pop rock most of the time, because that is what sells. Nickleback playing heavy songs isn't a new thing either. They did a tribute to Dimebag Darryl of Pantera when he passed and that was borderline metal. I can't remember the name of the song.
I never worked out why there seemed to be so many Nickleback haters. I mean, it's like they got crucified for doing the same things (and usually to a much lesser extent) as most rock bands before them. It's also seemed to become fashionable to hate on them (and make fun of people liking them) online just because they had a few hits.
What a clickbaity statement... they were always not only good, but an amazing band to listen to. People who hates them or "playfully hate" like your video title are usually unfounded. Unsubscribing
In risk of not catching sarcasm: Imagine someone finding out the negative stereotype about a band is false, but then being a fan and condemning said person. Anyway, bye!👋🏻
I'd love to know why my last comment was deleted... probably because of some swearing In any case, to everyone "making fun" of me because of this comment, zero f*cks given, my guys lol
The album this is from, Feed the Machine, is really good.

A whole new discography to check out!!
Long time nickelback fan, you should definitely react to Savin' Me or Gotta Get Me Some!

They've always been awesome. Never understand the hate. I've been a huge fan since 2001.
I think hating them became a meme because of Rockstar and Photograph.
@@Marvell3000 yeah unfortunately
Honestly one of my favs is Satellite. They are a good band. The weird hatred just gained traction randomly.
they've got DOZENS of heavy songs... check em out

The Back are the goats.
