My older sister bought the 45 of this as soon it came out and played it constantly on her record player (yes, record player) and it became part of the soundtrack of my youth. To this day I sometimes think, "why are you just stayin inside." Go out and be part of the day. 🙂
A few years ago when I thought I was terminal. This was the first song I wanted to hear. When you think your days are numbers something as simple as a beautiful morning is important. Fortunately I survived.
The soulful and wonderful voice of lead singer of 'The Rascals' Felix Cavaliere. This was one of their biggest hits back in 1968. I was a 14-year-old boy back then and enjoying the great sounds of the times. We listen to these great artists back then on our AM Transistor radio we held in the palm of our hands. Now I am a 69-year-old senior citizen listening to the great sounds of my youth once again. Awesome!
I was 16 years and 4 months old👨🏼. I remember how wonderful and magical those times were. All those great love songs went hand in hand with summer camp. And summers were forever. 👴🏼
The Rascals formed in Garfield, NJ. When The Soul Survivors released Expressway to Your Heart, many people thought they were copying The Rascals. Although The SS formed in Philly, they were natives of New York and New Jersey.@@HiltonDriver-rf8zd
TY Shawn and Mel I am so grateful you got back to The Rascals, they certainly put out so masterpieces that have lasted through time. For me when the were The Young Rascals or just The Rascals they made some music that to this day I still listen to. I would suggest the next one should be my all time favourite "How Can I Be Sure" and knowing your love I am positive you will love love love it. Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘🎶🎶🎶🎶💖💖💖💖
I do have a cold beer when I look them up after work...I get in a better mood...and usually the same 5. I love what they discover and of course, the reaction..love them
You two are right on. One thing about the Rascals is their songs were always positive and upbeat, which in the 60s wasn't all that common. Give us more!
Much appreciated! Felix Cavaliere is one of the greatest singers ever, hats off to the band members. Good Lovin' may be their biggest hit, soooo good. Eddy Brigatti is the other great singer there does How can I be Sure, very good song They got inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and sure deserve it
One of the local stations in Calif played this song at 6 a.m. every day, just when my alarm went off, time to get ready for school. It was a great idea and made the morning even better, every day.
Shawn & Mel, you both rock! I am an older Latino but I have been living in this great country for 40 years and I appreciate great music. The Rascals are an awesome band and I am going to see them in the Lynn Auditorium in June. It’s a beautiful morning is one of my favorite tunes, it makes me feel alive. Blessings from Boston my brothers and sisters.
PLEASE watch the video with them performing this back then. I listen to this EVERY morning. 🌄 "No sense in staying inside if the weather's fine and you've got the time." 💛
Simply put, the Rascals are one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. My personal favorite track is a cut off their brilliant second album (Collections) entitled "What is the Reason?" It is the perfect song. Nothing wasted. Just perfection.
@@mamb70 For sure. The Rascals are so great. I would still like to see some other deserving '60s bands like Tommy James and the Shondells, Three Dog Night, Herman's Hermits, and the Monkees get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
It's a beautiful day.. just groovin' with the Rascals. That was a banger! They put you in a good mood, good vibes. Shawn you look dapper today and Mel, I have to say you look beautiful; you're glowing. Enjoy your day! xx
"Timepeace" was the first greatest hits album I ever bought. I wore the grooves out of it on vinyl, bought a CD of it, and now it;s a playlist on my Iphone. Times change, but classics like this are forever. These guys were so talented and their sound was so enjoyable!
Rascals were a great group, my personal opinion is they were very underated and didn’t get near the recognition they should have, they were up there yes but but should have been higher, this song here still today gives you the same feeling or vibe that it did when it first was released, you guys Gotta do more of them, Aint gonna eat out my heart anymore is Awsome, you better run will really get you going 😁. Love listening to you guys, youve got me thru a very rough time when my Son died in January, I watch your videos for hours at a time. God Bless!!!
You must hear A girl like you , that’s my favorite Rascal number but they have so many hits . Fun fact they were the first American band to refuse to play in front of a segregated audience . The Beatles were first . They also signed with a black owned record company Atlantic records who gave them full jurisdiction over the production of their records .
I almost always start singing this song when I go outside…..even getting into the car for an errand! It’s hardwired from childhood……lucky me! 😽💋🎶💕

The beautiful harmonies that fade in and out, and overlay throughout the song is magical.
Aw man!!! My feel good song!!! Just makes for a great day!
Great tune.
It was written while here in Hawaii being invited to put on a show in the late 60’s “Groovin’” is in the same vein.
How Can I Be Sure and Lonely Too Long are a MUST!!!! Love yall!!!
Great band with other epic tunes like this one which will put anyone in a good mood after listening or singing along with this superb tunes!
More Rascals please, thank you,😎👍
Get yourself a cup of coffee, put the phone down, and crank up this tune. You'll never regret it, ever.
The radio DJs played the heck out of this song back in the 60s. We needed these uplifting messages. Because there was a LOT going on.
Makes you happy!
Beautiful ❤

The Rascals - Ain't Gonna Eat My Heart Out Anymore
It was their first hit single in 1966 if I remember correctly.
Yeah, Young Rascals are likely the best of our oldies to start the day!!!
This song was written in Hawaii. They nailed the feeling of what it was like to be there!
Aww y'all now I'm happy and my eyes are sweating again😥👍🏽
Awesome group. My fav of theirs - "A Girl Like You"
Didn't we have it good... we had so much love for life and each other...
