The funniest application of Mummy for me was removing Poison Heal from Gliscor. The toxic counter ticks up every turn even when Poison Heal is in effect, so a Gliscor that has been active for 16 turns or more will instantly KO itself if it uses Knock Off on Cofagrigus.
Weird how you haven't mentioned much how well it walls Mega-Lopunny, arguably the best mega in the tier. I've seen Cofagrigus getting usage in the tier for a while as the best M-Lopunny counter in the game and has been talked about in the gen 6 discord for a while now. Its Mummy ability takes over Lopunny's Scrappy and makes it utterly useless against Cofagrigus, and, without U-Turn, it can't even try to chip it down safely.

Much like Snatch, I've always enjoyed using Magic Coat on lead Cofagrigus. (Though one many need to be wary of Knock Off.) And as some other comments have already pointed out, it almost completely walls off Mega-Lopunny. Awesome to see Cofagrigus getting some attention!
There is one hiccup with Cofagrigus and Mega Heracross - most of the moves Mega Hera tends to run aren't contact moves. Pin Missile, Rock Blast and Bullet Seed(?) are such moves. Only Close Combat (which Cof is immune to anyway) makes contact.

What are the chances! I just faced someone using Rose Villain's stall team on ladder today, and now i see this video. Unfortunately for them, I did have a very strong band tar + zard y stallbreaking core with double hazard removal in exca+ LO latios AND a specs keldeo. I pretty quickly snuffed out that cof couldnt touch my zard Y and they kept it in for far too long, probably bc their best check in heatran is 2hkoed by focus blast. Flamethrower did a clean 80% and i was able to take it out soon after, but even still it was able to wisp my latios, set up a t spike, and block a spin from excadrill during the opening 20 turns. The opponent, facing down a team of insane hitters and getting one of their win cons in calm mind clef paralyzed, forfeited, but honestly I think it was very premature, as I realized mega lopunny played well 6-0ed my team with rocks up. I think after cof was koed and clef paralyzed so early and me successfully defogging/spinning so often while all they did was knock off ferrothorn and burn latios frustrated them into an early forfeit. Wouldve been an interesting game to play out for sure, i honestly love taking on stall/semi stall as it's a game of small advantages over time. Cant stand using it myself though.
I have always loved this mon. I remember playing a z-ghost trick room set in gen7. I wasn't expecting it to be so strong in OU honestly. Also so sad they removed snatch, that was so unique. However I'm afraid Cofagrigus would be bad in gen9. That's why I propose to buff Mummy : make it last for the whole match, and not removed by switch. This way it boost Cofagrigus niche without solving of its issues, that would be so fun.
5:50 havent played gen 6 ou, but 5 out of 6 defensive pieces on a team doesnt sound like balance to me. am i missing sth bc this sure looks like a stall team on preview, no?
Imo it's a semistall team. Gen 7 has very similar mega lop semistall structures. Some people swear it's balance, it's just at the end of the day that the type of team a team is can be fairly subjective.
@anusthing Zacians dont crunch (edit: with sd) very often. Turn 1, tank the hit with 40%+ and land the wisp. Second hit takes him to red, just in time for pain split. Cofag tanks the last hit with 30% and Hexs for the kill. It works every single time. If he SD's instead, he's still burnt and has lost 70% to the hex + dots. Btw the cofag I used was a mixed wall, so purely phys def variants are probably even more chill.
First time i ever hear that snatch works on healing and subs. So many times i could think it could be useful and k just didnt knew how it worked. Btw, isnt this how cofagrigus is normally used? I feel like i always used both rune and cofa as toxic spikes utility.

Cant stand using it myself though.
nah why he pronounce its name like that 💀
is there a place to share builds for a format not evs or ivs or movesets just team builds with mons
This is insane
He also trolls a lot of mega evolutions in gen 7 and soloes zacian in gen 8
Nothing solos zacian lol. He's not taking a +3 crunch
I guess I’m confused. It seems so strong how did people not realize it the whole time?
First time i ever hear that snatch works on healing and subs.
So many times i could think it could be useful and k just didnt knew how it worked.
Btw, isnt this how cofagrigus is normally used?
I feel like i always used both rune and cofa as toxic spikes utility.
You should make a video on Gholdengo being banned in Nat Dex OU. Meta is healthier now for sure
gen 6 content now? pretty insane
Snatch is relevant. 🤯
Wish they put the move back.
This is insane.
the jimothy cool channel deserves 100k subs
In would love to see a video of Dragalge in ORAS as a niche toxic spiker
Cof-a-gri-gus
Wait that's badass, gen 6 was my first ou format and I played Cofagrigus! Lets gooo. I love t-spike spam
Looks like a Crash Bandicoot enemy
Wait, Cof is considered more viable than LANDO-T??
cof is even a good switch in to that. byebye intimidate and lando ts physical bulk. Cant explode on it either
Give it (and runerigus) rage fist.
My beloved.
That Snatch effect really rounds up how annoying this mon can be. Physical setup sweepers will really hate the set that has Snatch 🤣🤣
yooo are you gonna cover gholdengo ban from nat dex ou?
I could.
YOOO REMEMBER ME WHEN YOUR FAMOUS COFAGRIGUS
