But........are you going to level those tow mirrors?
I was so worried about getting the mirrors leveled that I forgot to re-torque the nuts.
@@TopLineRacer one thing on the ubolts buy lock stuff in a tube us the green one it what the guy used and never had trouble so far
@@brandonshattuck3305 lock tight is the key on certain situations lol
@@TopLineRacer what of you put a flat bed on it, that would look nice also
@@TopLineRacer the truck is used of it but I love the truck
Don't say you wrecked it, say you done a whistlindiesel mod so you can get better air flow lol. Glad ur alright.
Haha😂
Totally
That’s what you get for squatting the truck
Goonzquad fix in half hour.....chin up big BOY
Wrong side duramax intakes are on the passenger side but funny comment
Whistlin diesel just has a curse on it you can’t beat
Damn this truck has more hits than Michael Jackson
Nose is still on thou
@@Daniel_kruger ruthless
Or hit more than Pamela Anderson
This is also still alive, unlike MJ
@@gervaisbuilds6175 erm i think your gonna get banned from the internet with a comment like that mj fans gonna hunt you down
most expensive truck ever at this point
by now he could have built a sexy ass show truck
He did a great job rebuilding it but truth be told you could have bought another truck with the investment 🤷🏼♂️.
You obviously haven't seen the anylevel f350 or momstermaxx...
@@flatoutnorth794 no I have lol
Monstermax
There ain`t no coming back from the the curse that WD put on that truck. There ain`t no coming back.
Don’t give up man, this is just the beginning!
This trucks taken more beatings then Rihanna when she was with Chris brown.
damn
Shiiiiiit
Too soon?
5:08 when you give it the beans for the boys and you trying to explain to the wife. babe I was with the boys.
im gonna watch the ads
Appreciate it 🤣
" i babied this truck i can't believe its ruined"😂. Classic line from mr. Whislindiesel
Truck just can’t catch a break 😂
It really can't 🤣
Top line racer: I wrecked the duramax
Whistlin diesel: FIRST TIME?
That is a bummer
I'm not knocking you j please get a set of lift springs and get rid of the blocks! I have had my u bolts loosen. I didnt do any damage I feel your pain!
I was going to say its those damn lift blocks t hose are the worst blocks you can get too
I'm telling ya that truck just doesn't wanna stay nice😭
Ditch the blocks! Get actual lift leaf springs
Amen this is what happens with lift blocks and spinning tires... Shocked had no wheel hop. Get real springs so it won't happen again to him... I had this happen to me before I put springs in and never had a issue agin on my short wheel base bronco lok
Lift springs and frame mounted traction bars are always a must. Blocks are nightmares in disguise for this reason. They work, but not the greatest
I was planning on. RC front box with leaf slring lift for my truck along with traction bars. Then i sold it for a dually and never looked back. Parts were getting pricy vs now i haven't spent a dime in repairs just maintenance.
You handled it like a man, been there myself and it sucks for sure. But, you’re alive and no one is hurt so that’s a good thing. Things will get better my friend 💪🏽
Retighten those u bolts fellas! Living proof
Don’t be too hard on yourself, silly things happen sometimes. Luckily it wasn’t too bad, it may be expensive, but at least it should be a fairly simple rebuild. I will support you through this! 🤜🤛
Sucks to see that happened , at least now you can get a built rear end from kodiak truck!
Thank you for sharing this, I installed Caltracs and haven't retorqued the u bolts. Been to the track and everything. Going to check now.
Glad you're OK. Hope you can get it fixed.
I'm glad ur not hurt!!!!....Please I know money is an issue. But when u put the rear end back together. Get a add a leaf or a totally new arched spring pack equal to the lift. I'm getting rid of my blocks for that reason. Your suppose to tighten up after retorque everytime u do ur lugnuts. I said a while back are they tapered blocks...if not that drive line is chugging on that axle. Not a fan of straight blocks and a block in general. Ladder bars after this build...will help bigtime!!!! Glad ur here to talk about it!!!!!....
Can't wait for the rebuild! Love the truck!
U got this Papa... Ur one of the good guys ...
Anything can be fixed glad you guys are ok
We all learned a lesson thanks for sharing good luck brother
For sure glad your alright and your friend. That's crazy now you know to make sure everything's tight next time lol
Glad your alright the truck is fixable. Thanks for the content stay safe and take care
Danm man That truck has had a hard life
Oh damn that sucks!! I’ll definitely be waiting on and watching rebuild videos lol
Hate to see that 2021 isn’t off to a good start. Glad everyone is alright. Impressed by that mailbox and pole. Gotta replace mine. Kids and big trucks flying by have taken its toll on the thing.
I know you said u-bolts needed to be re-torqued. I’d say that it was probably more like axle wrap. May want to look at adding traction bars. Hope you get the truck fixed in no time and affordable.
Glad yall okay! You can replace things, but you can't replace live. Don't give up! You and Lance got this! Look how the truck before yall bought it and bought it back to life, so yall can do it again! Have a great one!
" I was definitely on the throttle, you know, because we were just like hanging out. " 😆😆 i feel 99 percent of us do the same when were just hanging out with our best friends. whether we admit it to our wives is the only difference👌😂🐴
😂😂😂
I'm glad you're okay you can get the truck fixed
My dad and I put a lift kit on his Ford and it had the u-bolts and the blocks and we had tightened it once. A week later we where looking for a mechanic because It needed new manifolds and so he took it to a very thorough friend or just someone he knew for a some time. The guy does the mechanic work on the side so doing v10 manifolds was not quite the funnest for him but it was different.
Any-who at some point during the less than a week of work he called my dad personally and told him that he had tightened up the u bolts because they were shimmying loose and within a couple of drives they woulda came off. He may be a bit more on the expensive side, but man, was it worth it.
Good mechanics are hard to find these days. He possibly saved some lives. Awesome mechanic. 🙏
Respect for putting up a new mailbox! Last year in 2020 my mailbox was flattened by a car on 2 different occasions and neither of the people bothered to rebuild it or even apologize at the very least. So it does make me happy that some people are actually nice enough to replace them!
Definitely. Luckily I know the owner and he was super cool about it.
When I saw the chuck of the grille I was like NOOOOOOO! Honestly my favorite part of the truck
I live up the road from WD. crazy to still see this truck living a new life
Good luck guys, you did you once!
I'm here after the truck was repaired once again and its beautiful
Damn dude that’s crazy. Glad you were alright. And I’m glad to see it’s getting rebuilt again. I’d hate to see this truck get totaled out after all it’s been through
Good thing your one of the best duramax rebuilders on UA-cam!!!
your not a idiot man it’s just being a human glad y’all are safe !.
Appreciate the non click baitness of the video.
Glad your fine good man repairing the mail box lol
This truck has been through hell, it’ll be back on the road. Too pretty not to save. Sucks but I’m glad you’re safe! More duramax content can’t hurt
I agree more Duramax content but no need to say whistling diesal's truck enough of that..
I agree more Duramax content but no need to say whistling diesal's truck enough of that..
What a cool guy. First time watching
Gotta respect him for being honest!
Dang man I’m sorry that happened but best of luck to you and love your videos
You will get it fixed like new in no time. Glad it wasn’t worse. It’s still badass
Keep up the good work you will overcome this battle
Thank you!
Hell
Yeah
Brother.
Kick to the nuts right there bubba..
it'll buff.. glad your alright.
You got this that truck was trashed when you bought it hammer down 👍👍
Love your content!
This reminds me, I should go retorque my U-bolts.
Sorry for your loss.Hope your able to get it back together.I would just focus on getting the rear end sorted and do the cosmetics as time and money allow.Maybe you can get a sponsor or someone will donate a few parts.
Just glad he's okay, the truck is fixable, its unfortunate.
Damn, that sucks! Been there built my ‘93 f150 with a swapped built 1973 460 backed by a zf5 speed. Pretty clean truck being In New England. Couple new fenders got her back to rust free condition. I also bought a gt-500 hood that was 1 of 5 in the country, it was quite the pretty penny. Spent my whole summer building the truck with the built swapped 460, fenders, hood, 6” skyjacker with a 2” block lift, 38.5 boggers on 12” welds, new hd bumper, new paint job, custom interior, thousands of $ to meet up at a truck meet/drive in September of 2020. The old girl was the talk of the show! Unfortunately, the hood failed and destroyed the whole front clip! I know the feeling, it blows! The truck needed both front fenders, hood, grill, windshield, trim, and visor. How ever it was my own fault and I didn’t expect anyone else to pay for the rebuild, as so was your accident. I feel as though this video your looking for a following if this truck to get you a rebuild for it. I had many people offer me money because they had felt bad that mine had been wrecked, but I timbres them down as I’m not looking for others to rebuild my mistakes.... I respect the effort you have put in to the truck considering the condition you bought it as I was in the same predicament. That being said.....to each their own on the rebuild.
Hey buddy sorry to hear about what happened!! I have lifted tons of trucks over the past 25 years I’ve been working on trucks!! When I get a lift kit it’s from sky jacker!! I will definitely take the u bolts that come with the lift & pitch them!! They usually have a nila lock nut they will not hold on a 3/4 truck!! I have my u bolts bent to the length I need by Merrill axel & wheel in downtown Des Moines Iowa!! I guarantee you that you will have to cut the U-boats off to remove the U-boats if ever needing to remove the leaf springs!! I have never had one come loose on me & have only been able to save like one or two u bolts by heating the nuts up to get off but I will still never reuse a ubolt!! To much damage can be done & I try & show people that want me to put a lift on for them!!
All that matters is your alright brother, as long as y’all walked away that’s all that counts, yeah it could have been prevented but at the same time nobody is perfect but that’s what makes the world go around
Dang dude that sucks! I just replaced my rear leaf spring w/ new u-bolts and retorqued them at 500 and 1000 miles, had a few that had loosened up. Gonna check again tomorrow and probably every oil change now!
Retorqued them today and 3 tightened slightly but one went probably a full rotation! This is 2500 miles after replacement on a 2004 6.0 powerstroke, 6” lift on blocks. 150ft/lbs
The bed is salvageable. I’ve fixed way worst. Wish I was near y’all I’d fix the bed and the fender for u free of charge just to say I worked on such a sweet truck. And y’all are ok so all is well. Can’t replace y’all!!!
I may not have said it here, but this is why you don't do lift blocks in the rear. I've seen this exact outcome with street and mud trucks. You lose ride quality, but just do the spring lift.
Came here for the truck and will be back for the truck lol. Kinda went a bit inactive off the channel after you finished it but I did stay subscribed😂
Note to self, check bolts to make sure they’re torqued to spec. You’ll get it back together man!
Thanks man!
Tough break man glad you are ok
Why you should avoid rough country lift blocks and buy ready lift lift blocks lol. Rough country leveling kits, or lifted coil springs, and shocks, and steering damper, dual steering stabilizer, adjustable Track bar are the only parts I can say I would recommend for trucks as safe.
I thank it actually looks better with it setting the way it is with out the rear lift blocks in it
Maybe some ladder bars/tourqe bars or whatever you call them. Keep that axle from trying to wrap. I will be watching the truck updates.
BRB gonna go torque my u bolts
🤣
Time for rebuild again
Man I’m sorry to hear this I hope you can rebuild it eventually AGAIN I hope you guys are okay also
At least you were honest and replaced there mailbox. Someone took our mailbox and two aspen trees out a few weeks ago and took off and never came back. Sorry about the truck. Curse the whistlin diesel curse😂
Damn that truck has had a hard life lol you will have it good as new in no time no worries
I'll admit I was gonna flick you crap but seeing that you manned up and admitted fault and replaced the mailbox is commendable!! At least you're ok and it's just some body damage that can be fixed. Great video, I hope to see the process of it getting fixed again.
That would hurt my soul. I’m supporting you all the way
Appreciate it!
Daaaaaamn!!! That such a bummer, do you have any merch? T-shirts, hoodies, decals? Let me know and I'll make an order. This truck just hates being nice 😅 also this makes me want to re-torque my u-bolts like asap. I put my lift in my duramax about the same time you did this one and I haven't retorqued anything yet. On top of it I've noticed pulling away from stoplights it feels like the axle is rocking a little but didn't think much of it. Definitely going to check it out tomorrow.
Let us know what you find out. The last time I drove it I told Spencer I thought something felt weird, like a swaying feeling. We kinda backed up got on it again and everything felt okay but then this happened.
Glad you all where ok.
Thank you!
Don't worry truck can be fixed it not your fault it happened to a lot of people on icey road i am glad you are okay and u didn't get hurt keep making awesome videos on your love watching your channel alot every day 😀
Glad your ok looks like it’s time for traction bars
Duramax rebuild 2.0! better than before
Whenever I put in Ubolts especially if it’s on a lifted truck like my cat eye I always put a couple tack welds on each nut so this doesn’t happen. Blown out a couple drive shafts before I tried that
You can also do a second jam nut.
@@shaunholden7633 yeah. Only problem with that is I’ve seen people over tighten then and actually strip the threads out so then you have to cut them off anyways
You got it man its only parts!
Yay now we get to see it rebuilt... again
The same thing happened to me in my 2003 Chevy 1500 thank god I was going slow it did the same. Make sure if you do replace the u Bolts replaced the Blocks they can Crush in and make the U Bolts louse
I’d strongly suggest a shackle flip kit instead of blocks! Or atleast if you use block get a good set at traction bars. All the leverage the blocks add is quite substantial and cause heaps of issues especially with the torque of the duramax. Stuff happens! Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
Also got a good ole Carolina squat now
I did the carolina squat the quick way.
@@TopLineRacer thank God, I have never seen this truck and I thought u purposely had it squatted.
This truck has lived a rough life to say the least
Well look at that... you improved it...
bro love the intake
Good luck 👍🏻
Just here giving my like and comment to help out
Thanks brotha!
I am glad you are ok
Awwwwwe man, that sucks!!! Especially when you didn’t mean to WD it. Good luck with the repairs bud 🤙🏻.
Sorry that happened it’s a beautiful truck though I know you’ll make it right
I sent this video to my dad who has been following up on this truck since Cody fucked it up. He was happy that you fixed it. He saw this video and said "That truck has bad luck."
