3k for this is a steal. It's a fully built driveline. New cab, bed and fenders etc all body and it's a 20k truck all day thought still a salvage truck. No I'm not being sarcastic

There where a ton of people that didnt want to see this truck get killed and I'm sure all of them would love to see it rebuilt. Would be great for the channel. Just saying

The best things in life are the hardest to obtain. That truck is allready well known on UA-cam. And would get more attention if fixed, that's what brought me here and why I subbed. I can see you subs have allready grown alot. I've watched that nut bag for awhile now and ive seen alot of people in his comments saying they would like to see the trucks built back to normal. I know it's alot of work. He literally flipped it down a hill with a tractor. Lol. The frame looks to be in great shape if it isn't bent. If it was me I wouldnt even attempt to fix that body. I would find a good gasser for cheap and swap the body and use everything that is salvageable. I'm not trying to poop on anyones parade though. The dually would be cool to. I do think it would be easier to swap the dually body onto that chassis then to put the duramax into the dually. But I understand that if the dually means alot to you that you would want to keep as much of it as you can. It really comes down to what you want more.
Offcorse all of those things are easy for me to say. I'm not the one doing them and it's not my time and money. I don't even really like wd that much but I would enjoy seeing his f up fixed. I have a 07 lbz myself. I absolutely love it. And that thing was built way more then mine. If you go with the dually and make it more your built the a rebuild have you considered body swapping the dually onto that chassis. I know the frame is way stronger and everything allready works as it should. Would be stronger and easier to work on without as many custom parts to make work. Would be pretty cool to. You could just throw a 1 ton rearend in it. I'm not sure if the frame would have to be cut the wheel base might be way off. Offcorse that's not a huge deal. The more I think about the options I can really see how your not sure what way you want to go. There are so many options. Lol. But hey bro you got my attention. The cab shell would a worth a few bucks in two years when all the other Chevy's are rusted out. Just straighten it out and put new skin on it. Found this channel because of this truck. Whislin's a nice guy, keeps it real.

Rebuilding would be easier, but duramax swapping the dually would be cool.
If you swap it, you should put the 454 in the s10 Blazer. It will fit with slight modifications. I've seen it done with s10 trucks.

I pulled the bed off the 82 chevy square body I bought that had been sitting in a field since like 95 to fined a frame that was all fracture paint with a couple of small patches of seface rust.
$3k for a complete driveline on a rolling chassis with tons of other stuff? Absolutely.

A 6 ton bottle jack mounted to the end of a 4X4 works wonders for straightening out rollover damage, for those who were wondering.
100% rebuild it still runs amazing just needs a new cab and bed etc

The body is destroyed but like you said the frame appears for now to be solid. I think it would be better off restored. As far as the OBS swap. I think find a rusted or more damaged duramax for the swap.
There's so many of those old trucks kicking around you can have it a daily driver again in a week.
I'm a cummins guy just saying. My dad has worked on a duramax. Just changing injectors is THE biggest pain so far. I know everyone does a cummins. So I can't wait to see the obs duramax. But I hate duramax. But ill tell my buddy about you're channel he's a fan of duramaxes
