Marcelito has NEVER had vocal lessons. He was homeless at 7 years old and living on the streets of the Phillipines until he was 24 when he won the Phillipines Got Talent in 2011. God gave him some awesome pipes! He used to sing when he was lonely or afraid and he used to work at a chicken farm feeding chickens and he would sing to the chickens! Lucky chickens! lol

I am married to a Filipino and one thing I have seen in the Philippines is that when people are singing a cover other people or family can be very critical if they don't sound like the original artist, they are not big on making it sound different or their own interpretation they want an exact copy. However in the newer generation, some singers are creating their own versions of the songs, KZ is one that will do that.

What an amazing feel good sound. Gives me chills . I am sure many would love to be able to study and understand the mechanics of his voice. I agree that he has to have good mechanics and an amazing ear, but I think you also have a person with a relentless work ethic who is a driven perfectionist. Nothing comes for free and I believe Marcelito has paid highly for his ability.

May I remind you that "the power of love" was originally written and recorded by american singer Jennifer Rush in 1984.Not a Celine Dion's original as so many people think.Thank you and a nice day to you all
Thx for mention this, I grew up with Jennifers version here in Germany and I am always sad if everybody thinks it is a song by Celine Dion because she made only a cover and not even a very creative one. My favorite cover is btw the version of Laura Brannigan from then, like it much more than Celines cover!

@SingerDad Reacts Josh, to give Jennifer justice you should react to her too, she was really famous here in the 80s with a lot of songs. Because of one of her most famous songs, called "Destiny", she even had the nickname "Lady Destiny" here! Also, not long after Jennifer Rush released this song in 1984, Air Supply did a superb cover in 1985 with members of Toto doing the studio session for the song (Steve Lukather, David Paich, Steve Porcaro, Greg Phillinganes, Nathan East) aaaaand in 1987 Laura Branigan did a version of her own! What a sought out song Power Of Love is!
He is now a rich person and have a business of his own
He is currently on a tour of the U.S. There were no shows near me unfortunately - I am in my 70s and flying is not good for me. I would love to have seen him. I listen to him every day though on You Tube!

You also should know that his native tongue is Tagalog - Philippino. There's no trace of an accent other than the one being portrayed. He has a heavy accent.

They auditioned for X Factor UK 2015 and the audition video has more than 184 million views on you tube.
