FYI, all Zhou Shen's performances have not been autotuned whatsoever and he always sings with a full open mic which not so many artists will do nowadays because of their abilities. By the way, you only listen to 1% of Zhou Shen's talents based on this video. To tell you a bit about Zhou Shen's background. He is from China. He got bullied when he was young just because his voice didn't change when puberty came but that was not his choice and people called him names like a sissy or he sounds like a woman etc..... because of that he didn't sing in front of people for a long time and he even tried to tone down his voice when he speaks. It takes a long time for him to accept his own voice again and gets where he is now all around the world. He studied Dentistry in Ukraine when he was young but because of the language barriers, he changes to study Classical music there instead. His goal is to combine Classical and Pop music together to introduce them to those who didn't know what Classical music is. His vocal range is very wide and his breath control is extremely good. He is a polite, funny, and humble guy. He can sing at least 12 different languages which included Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Russian, Ukraine, Polish, Japanese, Hindi, French, Italian, Thai, Spanish, etc........ He can even sing 6 different voices in one song. His music has so many different genres. If you are willing to dig into his performances, you will be amazed by his talents. A lot of music can heal people's bodies but not many can heal people,'s, souls. Zhou Shen's music is one of them that can heal your soul. Welcome to the world of Zhou Shen (his Western name is Charlie so he is also called Charlie Zhou or ShenShen by his fans). His voice didn't change during puberty. Still sounding like a girl in middle school he was badly discriminated by some of his classmates and he stopped singing in front of other people. Fortunately he regained confidence and was able to make his uniqueness his strength. Today he is one of the most popular singers in China and he is also a friend of Hua Chenyu. He studied Bel Canto at Lviv National Musical Academy in Ukraine. They taught him to sing in his tenor voice but not how to sing falsetto. His soprano singing is self-taught. He does not always sing that high and he has a wider range than shown in this performance but he prefers the upper range in most of his songs. Aside from his voice, he has a captivating, impish personality. For a performance which is less Operatic, try "Monsters" on Singer 2020. His signature song is "Big Fish". It would be interesting to see you Reacting to a member of S Korean crossover group, Forestella, (Kang Hung-Ho), who unlike Zhou Shen had no formal vocal training prior to appearing on the show where Forestella was formed. His vocals on "Phantom of the Opera" are stunning, given he was untrained at that time. (He was a full time Research Chemist who was a Rock singer in a band in his spare time).

Yes he has a large range, I really like his “ring the doorbell” and in the “dalabengba” you could see he jumps from his low to high to sing. And he is also a language talented person, he sings in multiple languages “let it go” by him is in 9 languages, pretty amazing.

Super Vocals is one of my favourite shows and I have watched its 13 episodes 3 times as the characters and personalities were great. You can get it with English Subs. He is so young here and already really good but he was not very confident. He is amazing and just gets better and better. He has really been exploring the full range of his capabilities. Check out his performance Floating Lights, City of Lights, song of Heavens Island, Ring the Doorbell, and Listen with Tan Wei Wei to name a few. Wait til you hear him now. His duet with Sa Ding Ding is amazing. Check out Flowers Walking Freely and Upwards to the Moon. His high notes are astounding.
I’m watching your reaction and just loving seeing someone experience ShenShen for the first time. Search Upwards To The Moon, a duet he sings with DingDing. Mind blowing. He has trained with the Chinese Opera. He teaches singing to juniors as well. In one session, the junior was running out of air and was challenged maintaining the note. ShenShen taught abdominal exercises to strengthen the core to give strength to longer notes. Worked immediately for me! His technique is amazing. I’ve learned a lot just watching his breathing and his mouth positioning.

. Like others mentioned...there is a lot more to him.He is not only technically good singer...he is also very good at emoting. If you choose to do more reactions to Zhou Shen..there is a playlist on my channel. That might make it easier for you to find other videos.( some with hard subs) The judges btw voiced some criticism on that audition..they felt he didn't finish at the same time as the music.

Zhou Shen is an amazing vocalist too. He did an beautiful duet with Sa Dingding in 2020 titled, Upwards To The Moon (this is a live performance of a Chinese OST). Both are accomplished vocalists, the song amazing!

His duet with another singer to a song called "doomsday spaceship" is seriously cool fwiw. Also looking forward to more Sohyang. I don't think you touched her King of the mask singer yet, which honestly has some of her best and it's complete variety. Breathe is epic. She sing raps Day Day and makes that epic. Mona Lisa is lots of high high mix rock. The one other you really need to experience is Fate from I am singer. So cool you did get Misty. Breathe is even more stunning. Home from masked singer is so cool as well. But Breathe from masked singer and Fate from I am singer are the two tops. Half the audience is in tears on Fate. Breathe keeps tearing recent reactors. They are something.

👉Zhou Shen, *1992 in Hunan, western name: Charlie Zhou is an excellent singer. After graduating from high school, he studied medicine in Ukraine, but moved there after a year. Zhou Shen's voice did not break off during puberty. He has perfect hearing and studied classical singing (bel canto) in Ukraine. He completed his studies in 2016.
Zhou Shen has long struggled with the music establishment, who refused to acknowledge him. He made his own way. In 2010, Zhou started singing on the internet, but only let his voice be heard without appearing in the video... and today he has a huge following around the world.

He is so young here and already really good but he was not very confident. He is amazing and just gets better and better. He has really been exploring the full range of his capabilities. Check out his performance Floating Lights, City of Lights, song of Heavens Island, Ring the Doorbell, and Listen with Tan Wei Wei to name a few. Wait til you hear him now. His duet with Sa Ding Ding is amazing. Check out Flowers Walking Freely and Upwards to the Moon. His high notes are astounding.

I’m watching your reaction and just loving seeing someone experience ShenShen for the first time. Search Upwards To The Moon, a duet he sings with DingDing. Mind blowing. He has trained with the Chinese Opera. He teaches singing to juniors as well. In one session, the junior was running out of air and was challenged maintaining the note. ShenShen taught abdominal exercises to strengthen the core to give strength to longer notes. Worked immediately for me! His technique is amazing. I’ve learned a lot just watching his breathing and his mouth positioning.
BTW, I hope you loved him. He is a national treasure of China. Hands down one of my favorite singers. You might also enjoy Cai Chengyu or Ayanga.
