I will mention that while most one piece games retell the story, when you’re playing them back to back to back then of course it is going to be so repetitive that it’s not a great experience. But when you’re playing them at release or even skipping some games, you’ll have years of time pass between playing games. That time passing can make the experience of going through the story again but in a new game with a new style much more enjoyable! Just my own personal experience, since I’ve been playing One Piece games for the past 15 years or so on and off. Great video!!!
The baseball one caught me off-guard because Zoro is left-handed. It doesn't matter too much because to be frank at any point in the story he's ambidextrous. However it's a detail you don't see often
I had Grandbattle as a kid and played the crap out of it with my older brother. Remember this was a time before we had internet so when we realized that there was a code for unlocking more characters after months of playing it rly blew our minds. One of my best gaming memories ever!
I think this has been said but fun fact about World Seeker, when playing as Zoro the map gets all blurred and it's literally unreadable which even if it sounds like a disadvantage,it's really damn funny when you take into account who you're playing as
the "unlimited" games were the best, they resemble pretty much perfectly was one piece is about, just going out there adventuring, exploring areas and the hack&slay style combat fits perfectly imo.
unlimited adventure is one of my favorite games of all time. it had an original story, setting, combat, crafting system. it was so unique. i loved collecting all the fish and bugs. i loved the boss battles. i loved finding the hidden panda man on each level. easily a 10/10 for me.
I explained later in the vid but yeah I missed some games like the mobile ones because I couldn't record them for some reason or it was part of a series but Which game was your favourite?
@@bigcheesey98 yeah bounty rush is pay2win shit show BUT in the rare cases the match is actually fair its by far the best one piece game, all the games in this video put together don't match up to bounty rush at its best. too bad its usually at its worst xD
One Piece at this point needs to be licensed to other companies to actually have a unique feel and expansive gameplay. Bandai has too many IPs to handle, which results on prioritizing some IPs over others. Would love to see a Insomniac's One Piece game, just because of their amazing work with Spider-Man and traversal.
One Piece Unlimited Cruise 1 & 2 (for the Wii) are on my fav list of games. I like the combat system, the level grinding and the story! I played it again just a month ago.
One of my favorites that you didn’t cover on here was One Piece Great Pirate Colosseum. It was a 3DS fighting game made by Arc System Works (same people behind Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear Strive), and it’s got a helluva lotta sauce in it. It even has cross compatibility with a Dragon Ball Game, Extreme Butoden, so you can play OP vs DB matches too!! It’s even got a small competitive scene as well
The One Piece GBA game was very heavily slept on, and Grand Battle is still to me peak One Piece gaming. I really appreciated Unlimited Adventure because at least they tried making an original story, had all original costume designs and some cool supers.
Honestly, personally, combat-wise Burning Blood is my favorite. Grand Adventure holds the most nostalgia, given it was like the ONLY One Piece game for US at the time for me.. it was a nice fun party fight game. But my HOT TAKE: Unlimited Adventure and Unlimited Cruise series were my favorite for its time, surprisingly. You had adventure (which i feel is a must for a good One Piece game, and the fighting wasnt half bad for its time.. not to mention it had a Versus mode too... So it did its best to be a "complete" package type of game for One Piece.
If you think Burning Blood is the worst One Piece game, you havent played alot of One Piece games... As I said, combat wise, Burning Blood is my favorite. The roster is great and I love the Logia/Haki counter mechanics in the game- which to my knowledge, not another One Piece fighter ever used. I thought that was pretty innovative for a One Piece fighter. The map freedom, along with being able to use a team with the different playstyles on each character, allowed you to be able to strategize toward a playstyle of your preference (I.e, a heavy, scrapper, a zoner, etc.) The only downside in *my opinion to Burning Blood is it's storymode. it sucked that you only had marineford. But as far as the gameplay goes and the choices around it, i loved it. Especially when you can take your best team and fight against others online in conquering different territories. So yeah, as someone who has played quite a bit of One Piece games, Burning Blood isnt the worst in my opinion.
@@DKingillustrator well I have actually played quite a few, ive played all of the English releases except for the Wii games and I still say Burning Blood was the worst because as u said it was restricted solely to Marineford and imo the combat was terrible, I much prefer the open world games and smash brothers clones to that garbage, seriously u could finish it in less than an hour which is terrible for a modern game..
@@FuryousD Sure. but as you said, you prefer the open world games, so it obviously wouldnt be your preference anyway. Which is why i said combat wise. If you compare it to other fighters like Grand Adventure or even Unlimited Adventure Versus, the character freedoms are similar, aside from you have item assists and Hazard Zones in Grand Adventure (ignoring the obvious camera angle differences and cutting it down to mechanics). I'm curious what makes Burning Blood terrible combat to you, compared to their other Versus modes in games. I could see it being much different from the Versus combat in "Fighting For One Piece" but to me, it was way too sluggish, and restrictive to feel like a One Piece battle (in my opinion) Still goes into saying, If you havent played most of the games, its hard to say it's the worst of the series. The Story mode sucks, but my OG comment was simply based on it's combat. The height of that game was definitely more circled around Online combat. There are a few games that feel like a downgraded version of that combat style, in the series, Unlimited Adventure being one of them (despite how much i love that game)
even if i didn't prefer the open world games the combat is also shit compared to other fighting games in the genre which i do in fact like, and u just proved why is sucks in that last sections, the story mode sucks and your comments were all about the combat which also sucks at least compared to what actually good fighting game combat should be (admittedly it has been a long time since ive played it and i am still salty about it's shit story so maybe my feelings on the combat could change if i played it again but it still wouldn't change the fact that because of its shit story the game is the worst in the series imo). also on that last sections note exactly the story is shit and if the story is shit it brings everything else in the game down allot, a game unless it is completely multiplayer focused needs a good story or it will never be good let alone one of the best in the series. honestly i cant really remember much of it's combat since the game as a whole really rubbed me off the wrong way and allot of other people too since it almost killed the chances of another One Piece game ever being made again, now it it was like the tournament mode in Unlimited World Red then i would be praising it's combat but since it's not an open world game i doubt it's combat is remotely similar. @@DKingillustrator
Grandbattle was insanely good and fun at the time, but OP4 really has my heart now. I'm very excited bout the new DLC with Gear 5th. just hope they add more levels as well
I think it be sick if they made a one piece game where you make a character your own one piece story multiple player friends can be crewed up or solo player you unlock new characters and the level up and unlock skill too like haki or do side quest and find devil fruits
You should really play the Unlimited Cruise ones. Exploration, hidden secrets, great combat and progression systems with a lot of moves and ways to unlock them, and some really hard boss battles. Best one piece games I have ever played
for real. I loved unlocking and upgrading moves by actually using the characters. By the end I felt like I had a complete understanding of the whole crew's moveset and used each one for different situations.
Contrary to what you like- I want them to do a game where they go through the entire story of One Piece in grave detail. Starting with Kid Luffy, and going all the way to Wano. IN DEPTH. Not like how Pirate Warriors 4 did it, where they skipped a bunch. I also don't like them doing horde battles. Where there are just millions of enemies to fight through. At times it can be fun to just mow everyone down- But...I want to run around Alabasta in a story mode sense, and go to Skypeaia, and have a real fight with Eneru. I want to walk around with Gaimon. Just- Real stuff. You seem to like games that have a new story, with good graphics, and other characters outside of the Strawhats. I like One Piece games with tons of characters too- But I don't like battle battle games where all you do is fight. So we're pretty opposite in what we like. Which is okay, but I can tell that your interest in these games were of that of a younger mind. I like Dragon Ball games that go through the entire story, I like Naruto games that go through the entire story, I love One piece games that go through the entire story. I don't really care too much for the games that adopt their own story like Unlimited World Red. That game to me is one of the worst (Newer) One Piece games. I still remember it. I spent most of my first ever paycheck on it. I beat it in 8 hours. Not only did it feel restrictive, but it felt limited, not that fun, and it was just a waste of a game in my opinion. I wish that they had started you off on Alvida's Ship if anything, and continued. Even Pirate Warriors 3 did a better job than Unlimited World. For the next One Piece game, I want them to go way in depth with the story, and possibly make it open world, where you can control the Going Merry/Thousand Sunny
I find Pirates warriors 3 to be much better than 4 just cause of the existence of dream/nightmare log. You get to play so many more scenarios in it that wont happen in a storymode game. Like you can even face off against emperors, or whole strawhat crew, one where you play marineford but you actually save Ace in it. Its so satisfying to play that last one as Sabo, Garp or Whitebeard Hell, you can even play multiplayer on same machine which is always fun when my cousin comes over
Seeing these games reminds me of how old One Piece really is. The fact that these games started on such classic technology like the PlayStation and Gameboy Color just blows my mind because of how timeless the series is for me.
Pirate Warriors 4 is honestly super fun, it'd be great to see an actual playthrough. I personally loved it, going so far as to nearly 100% the game on PS4. Fun fact, Carrot is absolutely cracked for some reason especially Sulong to the point I'd alternate between her and Kaido for the side missions. World Seeker is also pretty fun, so it'd also be a neat game to see a playthrough of. I'd also say it's worth trying Pirate Warriors 3 as well despite the "latest game in the series" rule since they feel quite a bit different mechanically, which was nice when swapping games so it didn't feel like a waste of money for PW3 with a graphics overhaul and new chars. Honestly out of everything I feel like One Piece would make for a really good MMO; you get basic specs without fruit like Haki or fighting styles like Rokushiki, Black Leg, or Ittoryu/Nitoryu/Santoryu and having fruits be a rare and special item you can find or trade for. There are already a myriad of races players could choose from that change the fighting such as Minks, Fishmen, Longarm, etc. I really hope once the series is done they make something like it.
Unlimited Cruise 1&2 is by far the best One Piece experience I've ever had in a game. Great combat with little souls like elements, interesting and distinct islands to explore, fun activities like fishing and a story which fits in the One Piece world. Still waiting for a third part. I think the best part about it is that it used the Wii in a whole as a platform. I feel a bit sorry for non Europeans, who couldn't have played these back in the days. Fun fact: Until today I compare fishing activities in games with those of the Unlimited Cruise - still no real competitor found... To be fair, newer games aren't for the Wii 😅
@@Mihawk288I think what geengerossa meant to say is that they feel sorry for the American audience cause Unlimited Cruise was only released in EU, Australia and Japan, though weirdly enough the prequel Unlimited Adventure was only released in NA and Japan. The sequel Unlimited World Red sadly wasn’t nearly as good in my opinion, it just didn’t capture me the same way UC2 did, which is by far my favorite OP game, I probably have over 200h spent on that game.
@@MrStegben I see, thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I agree, Red felt like a "5h and I was done and bored" kinda game while UC2 was THE game I would play nonstop on the Wii Also is unlimited adventure any good?
@@Mihawk288 I’ve never played Unlimited Adventure so I’m not sure, I started with UC2 and then went back to play UC1. UA didn’t interest me as much since the North American version was only dubbed with no option for the original voices, it was also developed before the Thriller Bark arc so Brook isn’t in it. I might try to get it running on an emulator, the Unlimited games are such a pain to get running without native wiimote support though since fishing, bug catching and using the pickaxe feature the motion controls so heavily. UA is a direct prequel to UC, as opposed to World Red which only really had kind of the same fighting style, so I kind of want to play it just to get the full story.
I didn’t know they had a baseball game for one piece, but I have seen the special short they did and it’s absolutely hilarious they also did one with soccer.
Red and world seeker are alot of fun. My favorite is probably Red. I wish you would have done grand adventure over battle cause it has a really fun story mode and you can collect cards from the TCG at the time. I played tgat game so very much on my playstation 2 lol. The mini games are even fun to play
The game you played in which you had a bit more involvement in the turnbased system WAS cool and I know of a couple games lime it. The Neptunia franchise is basically that. Personally though, I prefer the normal turnbased games more.
I want a one piece games that's like some roblox game called grand piece online. You make your own characters, level up, find devil fruits, get haki, explore for yourself. It's rudimentary, pay to win but the essence of it is good.
I absolutely love PW3 and 4 (especially 3), they're my favorite OP games. I also have fond memories playing the Unlimited games on Wii, they were really good 💙
My favorite part was the beans! Thanks for taking the time to do this, I've also wondered which of the many games are worth playing. Also, I think there is a One Piece mobile game you might like, where you get to be your own pirate and have your own story. I hope I'm not mistaken, it's been so long since I played it.
its a weird thing to compliment but i love how all of these games actually get the anime vas to do their roles, makes them feel alot more authentic than if they were voiced by replacements.
That's pretty standard with Japanese voiceover artists. It's really just dub ones that don't return to do voices because of circumstances (including but limited developers not giving a damn).
it's more Western Gaming companies that don't bother/cheapen out or localization teams since the Japanese companies cheap out only in getting English VA's to work for their games which i hate.@@MrSonicJuan
The ocho has so much potential, especially in that gap of the summer with just baseball. Imagine there’s such a highlight it makes it to the morning shows. Stephen A. having to talk about table hockey would be incredible.
Yknow what would be cool an open world game where you can choose to be a pirate or marine but the game is also co-op so you’ll see people in real time and if someone wants your bounty they can take it and fight you at any time even in settlements and the game would also include almost every shown fruit, sword, fighting style, gun and also include their moves the game would obviously be focused on the one peace and you can research stuff like robin or other characters and there will be crews with real people in real time that your with for life and also roles like shipwright and captain
You missed One Piece Grand Adventure. It’s like battle, but with a fully fleshed out story mode that’s actually really dope. There’s like 4 different adventures with different captains and a cool alternate story type vibe. Other than Luffy there’s also Buggy, Crocodile, and I think either Eneru or Captain Usopp. The roster is also greatly expanded; they put Kuina in this game. Very cool concept. You should check it out.
@@screamingatstars66 what I wouldn’t give to have my old PS2 and a copy of that game. Or at least have a beefy enough pc to run an emulator. Some of my best early gaming memories, also the first time I got really frustrated with a game, some of those challenge fights in the later adventures are brutal.
@@Pimpgamer101 You could always try getting a hacked wii or wiiu with nintendont installed to emulate the gamecube version. That's what I did. Definetly would recommmedn 10/10. And yeah it is a frustrating game. I just played through it for the first time recently. Did all the stories, didn't 100% it but man. Some of the fights are really really hard. especially those rumble battles.
The best of World Seeker is the 3 different DLC stories: Sabo’s story, Zoro’s story and Law’s Story. I love Law’s story more than all of it tbh. And not just cause he’s my favorite character. It was so cute
Honestly, we need a proper story game where you just play through handcrafted levels to get through the full one piece story. Kind of like Demon's Souls where you go back to the ship after every level but the levels aren't connected at all this time. This would be too high budget for one go though so probably gotta split it to: Up to Alabasta ---> Skypiae + Enies Lobby ---> Thriller Bark to Marineford ---> Start of timeskip to Dressrosa ---> Entire emperror battle saga (wholecake to end of wano) ---> Whatever is to come.
World Seeker was the first One Piece I played, and it was the most fun game I have played in a long while. I enjoyed it a lot. Now I'm playing Odysse a bit, and so far I have been enjoying it a lot as well.
@@kathywisniewski862 I like the fact that you get to play other characters in the Dlc's. They all connect to the main story, but I like that they all have a side story on their own. I still need to finish them all, actually.. haha ^^
I should say that Pirate Warriors 3 & 4 are so different in playstyle that you believe that are not from the same series if it wasn't because of the same common pirate models in each game, lol. Summoning friend attacks and dash mid combo in the 3 or the explorable maps and cinematic super moves in the 4...
A while back, after installing some emulators, I played the shonen one piece game (2005). I completely agree that it is one of the best games ever. You missed out on one of my favorite game ever played. ONE PIECE GIGANT BATTLE. It’s the best of all the platformer/super smash bros type game. Definitely try it out. There is a second one to the game but it didn’t have a dubbed version. beautiful pixel art and great gameplay. ONE PIECE GIGANT BATTLE (2010).
I'ma just say it the one piece burning blood game is the best game they got the haki system works beautifully and it's very accurate to the show and it also had a lot of foreshadowing for stuff that is actually just recently happening which is crazy
@@izukouumaki2761 things like Zoro having kings haki even tho he doesn't know about it or using kings haki to block the negative effects of sea stone or shanks being able the just say no to most other characters haki cause his is just on another level I need to play with more observation haki users to see what I can learn about it
The One Piece Unlimited Adventure 3DS game is actually a different game called One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP. It is a port of One Piece Unlimited Cruise 1 and 2 for the Wii which is the sequel to Unlimited Adventure with a new original story. The game didn't come out in the US but Europe instead (which is really weird because Unlimited Adventure didn't release in Europe but the US instead.) The game was originally on two different discs and you could transfer your old safe file on the second game but were put together on one 3DS cardridge (at least for the US, they decided to split it again in Europe for no reason) Those games are actually prequels to Unlimited World RED made by the same developer, having similiar combat and the same items. The latter changed the formula greatly and turned mission based instead of being an Action RPG which I always thought to be a shame. Dodging made World RED much easier and a bit brainless as well.
You should go back to Pirate Warriors 4 and try out the free battle mode for a mission or two, because it lets you play as any of like 50 or so different characters and throws them against you in all kinds of new combinations you'd never see in the story.
Treasure Battle was what first got me into One Piece, so it has a very very dear place in my heart. 2002 I got a Region Swap disc for Gamecube and imported games like crazy. I had not yet seen, read, or knew anything about the story or characters, but the Character designs and the world had me hooked immediately.
Cloud - "It's older than me!!!" Me - "... I'm older than One Piece. Sigh". Also the baseball game makes more sense when you know they made baseball and soccer short animations too.
I was one of the people who got the limited version of One Piece Romance Dawn. I loved the game, mostly because I love One Piece… but I actually mapped out each area, which they had 1-3 layouts per section. I knew where all the treasure chests and enemies are just by looking at which map I am on. It was actually kind of boring
The Original One Piece Pirate Warriors out classes the newer ones imo. It's still a hack and slash like the others but with unique boss battles, puzzles, level variety, and cool gimmicks in both battle and travel that make sense in the One Piece World. The newer ones are flashier but lack spirit.
me and my brother used to play the ps2 grand battle (2005) sooo many times. the mini games and 2 player mode made it so much fun (still do). but overall i have to say my favourite (of the ones i´ve played) is the Unlimited Adventure for wii. it´s just so well made. it´s creative in it´s story and how the different characters fit into it. also, unlocking the different areas of the island was just so much fun. still playing it from time to time :)
My favourite Pirate Warriors is actually the 2nd one. Maybe not as good as 3 and 4 combat-wise, but it's the one I found the most replayable for many reasons. One of those is that it has a whole Alternate Universe story that's nothing like the manga. Like, the story happens post-timeskip, but Whitebeard and Ace are still alive and Marineford didn't happen? It doesn't make any sense, but the game uses that 120%. You get crazy cutscenes like Luffy vs Marco or Brook vs Mihawk. If you don't like the fact that the recent games are just retellings of past events, then you will surely enjoy Pirate Warriors 2 the most.
I used to play the original PSX Grand Battle with my brother back in the day and it was one of my favorite games... there's so many characters to choose from and everyone's super is so unique
Woah you were born 2003? That's shocking to me considering I've been watching UA-cam since 2006, the fact now you're making videos here too, that's awesome.
About to watch this, haven’t yet. I’d say the best One Piece game would be an open world RPG where you make your own character, gather crew mates along the way and then eventually find the one piece. Anything else wouldn’t be anywhere near as fun. Same to be said for other shows like Last air bender and the walking dead etc. Open world RPG is the best adaptation of any show that has a large world map and a decent premise. To me anything else is a wasted effort. If your going to turn a show like that into a game, have it be like the show! Edit: glad to see the devs are on the right track!
bro you have to play the "unlimited cruise" games, these games embody everthing one piece is about. theres exploration, a unique setting, the BEST combat in any one piece game(you can also modify the moveset of each straw hat member) and there are so much non-fighting features like crafting, fishing and cooking im sure you'd really like it!
I only found one piece recently and I'm shocked at how much there is out there - it blows my mind that I havent heard about the manga / anime / video game before
Dont forget that Dragon Ball went through like 50k different games following the same 4 DBZ arcs before they created Xenoverse and still repeated it but added a twisty concept with the timelines and multiverse and all that. So maybe One Piece that will hit that point sometime in the near future! OPPW3 and 4 are the best out there currently for following the story and having decent graphics, gameplay, and music.
I do not know if you are still reading these comments, but just in case: Please give The unlimited cruise games a try for a while longer, cause they are relatively lengthy games, with gameplay that gets better the further you go and a full PvP mode where you can play even all the none playable characters. It is, even having played world seeker and pirate warriors 2-4 to almost 100% each, my favorite One Piece game and it is sadly incredibly slept on because it was an old game. It‘s one of the very few reasons I turn on my WiiU again, just to replay either 1,2 or both.
I think a One Piece game in the format of story of something like Dragon Age: Origins, where you can choose your race and background and that affects your characters starting location and classes, and I recently was talking with a friend how a CRPG format like Baldur's Gate could actually lend itself really well to both the setting and story. Like the story of your created character, and your crew of companion characters, sailing the seas and having adventures on different sections of the sea in each story act, and having your choices as captain affect your crew, even causing some to leave or never join in the first place. Just thinking of the idea makes me want it to exist because I can already see what it would be.
I think it would be cool to have an online game set in the One Piece universe where you create your own pirate crew. Like every player gets their own ships and customizable characters. There could even be a system where players/captains choose their own devil fruit powers as a kind of class.
19:54 I swear in every One Piece game I've played, Ace must be programmed to have a vendetta against the player or something because he will literally sprint across the entire map just to throw hands with me
The Pirate Warriors series is probably my favourite, just being able to beat up a trillion enemies as my favourite character is just simple mindless fun to me
Consensus amongst the fanbase seems to be that the best consoles for OP games were the Wii - Unlimited Cruise, and PS3 - Pirate Warriors 2. More recent games tend to be somewhat polarising.
You should absolutely play the Unlimited Cruise games, they are by far the best One Piece games. I wish theyd remake them or release a third installment, since they are so amazing.
You should've gone deeper into world seeker. You get to fight admirals, warlords, other guys like smoker, you even get to use gear four. It's an amazing game
Beans! Proper video mate, really enjoyed it. My favourite one so far si burning blood, i like the one piece tailored battle mechanics. You feel that you are in the one piece universe. I do want to play the platformers though, they seem fun! The ideea of making your own story sounds amazing, hope that they will make a game like that. It would be a great hit like Hogwarts Legacy
I don't know why they never thought to make a game that started like from the start, become a random pirate and you can go through events, while other anime crews went through their own events and basically make an experience that feels fleshed out. Basically open-world and you can decide like whether you want to be a pirate hunter, navigator, shipwright, a devil fruit user, haki user, cook, medic and etc instead of just putting you during the most recent events that haven't been portrayed in the last game of the series.
I finally got back into One Piece and see this video. Pretty funny stuff, and lots of cool games. You should totally play Grand Adventure though, it's a sequel to Grand Battle with the same engine and gameplay style but it has a Adventury story mode with rpg elements and leveling up. You even get to play as different characters during it.

It’s even got a small competitive scene as well
The One Piece Fighter Z people keep dreaming on haha
So it did its best to be a "complete" package type of game for One Piece.
how the fuck can u like Burning Blood? it's the worst game in the entire series mate.
The map freedom, along with being able to use a team with the different playstyles on each character, allowed you to be able to strategize toward a playstyle of your preference (I.e, a heavy, scrapper, a zoner, etc.)
The only downside in *my opinion to Burning Blood is it's storymode. it sucked that you only had marineford.
I could see it being much different from the Versus combat in "Fighting For One Piece" but to me, it was way too sluggish, and restrictive to feel like a One Piece battle (in my opinion)
Still goes into saying, If you havent played most of the games, its hard to say it's the worst of the series.
The closet thing to that are the one piece games on roblox. They have devil fruit powers with awakenings, haki, diff races, and other stuff.

@@FJLinkYeah they are the best one piece games and have all the stuff s fun wants.I wish they release One Piece games with this style of gameplay.
I have soooo many hours in those. I replay it every once in a while and i still love it
Preach, i played unlimited cruise 2 for endless hours
Its so satisfying to play that last one as Sabo, Garp or Whitebeard
Hell, you can even play multiplayer on same machine which is always fun when my cousin comes over
All pirate warriors games are trash. You do the same thing over and over.
Pirate Warriors 3 is what introduced me into one piece, it's one of the best games ever created.
Yep Dream Log is the best mode and they should have keep it in future titles
Also....we didn't need to jump in 4 😂😂😂
4 had the dream log aswell?
Seeing these games reminds me of how old One Piece really is. The fact that these games started on such classic technology like the PlayStation and Gameboy Color just blows my mind because of how timeless the series is for me.
I would kill to see you play Unlimited world red and Pirate Warriors 4 all the way through, I love the enthusiasm you bring in these videos!
I want a one piece game where you start off as a kid and make your own crew you can pick one out of 5 once you’ve done a boss battle
0:30 It's pretty cute when kids are so surprised if something is older than them.
I loved these games too, how come only Europeans could play them?
@@Mihawk288I think what geengerossa meant to say is that they feel sorry for the American audience cause Unlimited Cruise was only released in EU, Australia and Japan, though weirdly enough the prequel Unlimited Adventure was only released in NA and Japan. The sequel Unlimited World Red sadly wasn’t nearly as good in my opinion, it just didn’t capture me the same way UC2 did, which is by far my favorite OP game, I probably have over 200h spent on that game.
@@MrStegben I see, thanks for the clarification. Yeah, I agree, Red felt like a "5h and I was done and bored" kinda game while UC2 was THE game I would play nonstop on the Wii
Also is unlimited adventure any good?
Banger vid,I’m subbing
The game you played in which you had a bit more involvement in the turnbased system WAS cool and I know of a couple games lime it. The Neptunia franchise is basically that. Personally though, I prefer the normal turnbased games more.
I want a one piece games that's like some roblox game called grand piece online. You make your own characters, level up, find devil fruits, get haki, explore for yourself. It's rudimentary, pay to win but the essence of it is good.
that would be my dream game
13:11 “Alright sanji, kick that shi” I love that he kicks the baseball 😭
I absolutely love PW3 and 4 (especially 3), they're my favorite OP games. I also have fond memories playing the Unlimited games on Wii, they were really good 💙
My favorite part was the beans! Thanks for taking the time to do this, I've also wondered which of the many games are worth playing. Also, I think there is a One Piece mobile game you might like, where you get to be your own pirate and have your own story. I hope I'm not mistaken, it's been so long since I played it.
The way you use the Zelda theme as background sound is so cool! Keep it up dude!
its a weird thing to compliment but i love how all of these games actually get the anime vas to do their roles, makes them feel alot more authentic than if they were voiced by replacements.
too bad not all of them bother to translate the voices into English too.
So every game ever made in roblox then

You missed One Piece Grand Adventure. It’s like battle, but with a fully fleshed out story mode that’s actually really dope. There’s like 4 different adventures with different captains and a cool alternate story type vibe. Other than Luffy there’s also Buggy, Crocodile, and I think either Eneru or Captain Usopp. The roster is also greatly expanded; they put Kuina in this game. Very cool concept. You should check it out.
I second Grand Adventure, it's a fantastic game.

There is a second one to the game but it didn’t have a dubbed version. beautiful pixel art and great gameplay. ONE PIECE GIGANT BATTLE (2010).
I'ma just say it the one piece burning blood game is the best game they got the haki system works beautifully and it's very accurate to the show and it also had a lot of foreshadowing for stuff that is actually just recently happening which is crazy
what did they foreshadow?

one piece unlimited adventure, unlimited cruise 1/2 and SP are just GOATED
The One Piece Unlimited Adventure 3DS game is actually a different game called One Piece Unlimited Cruise SP. It is a port of One Piece Unlimited Cruise 1 and 2 for the Wii which is the sequel to Unlimited Adventure with a new original story. The game didn't come out in the US but Europe instead (which is really weird because Unlimited Adventure didn't release in Europe but the US instead.)
The game was originally on two different discs and you could transfer your old safe file on the second game but were put together on one 3DS cardridge (at least for the US, they decided to split it again in Europe for no reason)
Those games are actually prequels to Unlimited World RED made by the same developer, having similiar combat and the same items. The latter changed the formula greatly and turned mission based instead of being an Action RPG which I always thought to be a shame. Dodging made World RED much easier and a bit brainless as well.
The US didn't get the 3DS version of Unlimited Cruise. We actually didn't get any version of Unlimited Cruise, which disappointed me greatly.
You deserve a big like for this video! Beams

I was one of the people who got the limited version of One Piece Romance Dawn. I knew where all the treasure chests and enemies are just by looking at which map I am on. It was actually kind of boring
Amazing endeavor! Thanks for showcasing all of them!!
I way I differentiate the two is 3 and 4 are warrior games but Warriors 1 is an action puzzle platformer with warriors style levels.
I had One Piece: Grand Battle! on PS2. I don't recall much of it, but I remembered I had so much fun with that game.
I always wanted a full open-world One Piece RPG where you don't play as the straw hats but its set in the one piece universe.
me and my brother used to play the ps2 grand battle (2005) sooo many times. the mini games and 2 player mode made it so much fun (still do). but overall i have to say my favourite (of the ones i´ve played) is the Unlimited Adventure for wii. it´s just so well made. it´s creative in it´s story and how the different characters fit into it. also, unlocking the different areas of the island was just so much fun. still playing it from time to time :)
Before I watch the video, I can say as a One Piece fan, who has played alot of the games from all eras....They're remarkably...Unremarkable.
Beans also I'm surprised you didn't like the open world game. It's interesting how sometimes older games can be more fun than newer games
Romance Dawn's combat seems similar to the Trails in the Sky series.
Jesus Christ, good vid to watch on mute.

Hey which game do you think is most accurate to the storyline of the anime there is a sale right now and I’d like to buy a game
bro you have to play the "unlimited cruise" games, these games embody everthing one piece is about.
theres exploration, a unique setting, the BEST combat in any one piece game(you can also modify the moveset of each straw hat member) and there are so much non-fighting features like crafting, fishing and cooking
im sure you'd really like it!
Omg I loved playing Romance Dawn when I was stuck in the hospital. It was so satisfying being able to hit enemies into each other lol
fighting ds ones and the gba ones are the best. no question. played the ds ones so much
One Piece: Grand Battle was my childhood, so fun to play with siblings and friends back in the day.
"Are we not battling?, why is everyone smiling?" 🤣
It‘s one of the very few reasons I turn on my WiiU again, just to replay either 1,2 or both.
one piece 2005 was really nostalgic for me, I've played it on my first console (gameboy advance) when i was 6 years old
Grand Battle for the Gamecube is still my favorite. Might be nostalgia but the goofy 3D fighting game has sold me.
19:54 I swear in every One Piece game I've played, Ace must be programmed to have a vendetta against the player or something because he will literally sprint across the entire map just to throw hands with me
Unlimited red was the first one piece game I've ever played back in the day great memories awesome video by the way.
The Pirate Warriors series is probably my favourite, just being able to beat up a trillion enemies as my favourite character is just simple mindless fun to me
One piece Grand Battle was my introduction to the one piece world and love it !!
Consensus amongst the fanbase seems to be that the best consoles for OP games were the Wii - Unlimited Cruise, and PS3 - Pirate Warriors 2. More recent games tend to be somewhat polarising.
13:38 "That was out of my reach!"
Yeah... it was also out of the strike zone, so you should have just taken the ball.
You should absolutely play the Unlimited Cruise games, they are by far the best One Piece games. I wish theyd remake them or release a third installment, since they are so amazing.
Btw for world seeker you can also play zoro or sabo
You should've gone deeper into world seeker. You get to fight admirals, warlords, other guys like smoker, you even get to use gear four. It's an amazing game
That baseball game looked really fun not gonna lie. That platformers were cool too.
"why are these handheld games so much lower tech than console games that came out around the same time?!?!?!?" lol I kid, good video my dude
One thing I found fun about Grand Battle and Ultimate Ninja is that they made up their own ultimate/supers that are exclusive to the games.
Subbed! Loved this video
