I suffered from the same cancer as Suzanne, so hitting to hear she was partly identified due to her chemo port. To think she twice beat cancer to be murdered is so unfair. She was a beautiful woman & had family who needed her. RIP
@@stfuplsokOr maybe her husband is simply an awful man? Murder is never excused, cheating or not. And may I remind you, far before she was murdered she wanted to leave and was being abused. No wonder she cheated.
He could have been moving her... Or I think he had HELP... that would explain the other DNA, and people who help do that is obviously bad people who probably are in the system (explaining the criminals dna) ... he's a SKETCHY guy who probably has sketchy friends, and I can tell you from experience that in the building business there's alot of sketchy dudes also...
@@kirawalker9925 Well, we don't know if he was abusive or she was being abused. We only know that Suzanne claimed that to her friend. But we All know she cheated on her husband. It could just been an excuse for her to be unfaithful. There is no other source about Barry being abusive.
He most certainly did this… why was he throwing garbage bags away at random locations? It was obviously things he used to clean up or things covered in her blood. THIS IS RIDICULOUS
Barry is so full of it... And is, in my opinion, guilty as hell. And while I understand Suzanne's girls not wanting to believe their dad killed their mom, I believe someday that reality will hit them like a ton of bricks and I pray they'll have the support they'll need to handle that. 😢
agree. it will some day. their father dont deserve them. i feel for the girls. hard as it is to loose a mother and then a father too. but yeah Barry is totally guilty i feel it and just all his lying and stuff jesus.
The things that won’t leave my mind is: 1. He told the neighbours that if her bike isn’t there to call the police, 2. His story kept changing, 3 the cameras capturing him dumping so many garbage bags and 4. His phone made so many moves on his property that were not normal. Things are definitely not adding up and I hope that justice is served to whomever did this
And his phone data showed he was running around chasing something which they believe he shot her with a tranquilizer gun, he never mentioned the movement and then when confronted he said he was chasing a chipmunk.... omg he is such a fricken liar! No one changes their mind as much as he does! I can't believe his daughters believe him!
When you are waiting for someone to return, you don't sell their home, car, and belongings. This is the best breakdown on this case I've seen. Thanks, Kendall.
@@katladytrj5339I wish I could have kept our room the way it was for years, but I was forced to move merely months after my late husband passed. This guy is guilty ASF.
Yes!! I was screaming this at the top of my lungs when Lacey Peterson went missing, and Scott Peterson sold her vehicle and was trying to sell their house. Smh
Barry is 100% capable of violence and in my mind he did this. Threatening Suzanne with suicide, using scripture against her when she wanted a divorce, his story changing when she goes missing… his actions scream guilty. That part about him illegally tranquillising elk and stealing their antlers I find so disgusting as well. He is such a foul person.
Not taking part in ANY of the search efforts, the random garbage disposal, his phone moving around so much, his door opening and closing 80+ times. He’s guilty as heck but that random DNA in her vehicle and helmet etc is also so confusing.
Exactly. Doesn’t seem to have any sort of moral compass (god those poor elk ) and your right, if they threaten suicide if you leave it is abusive. It also means even if they did it would they go out alone. Unlikely. Using scripture to manipulate and guilt her. Multiple story changes, if it was a more or less typical night and the last with your loved one I would think you would remember every detail. When that part about using a tranq gun and running around the property I got chills. To think of being so young still and wanting to just live out the rest of your life in peace, just so sad. Hope justice happens for her
I don’t understand how the daughters can have their mother’s OWN WORDS describing the violence and malevolence of their father and stand by him. I would never.
I think we all have moments in our lives where we don’t see the truth that is front of us. Most of us have been through a difficult divorce, a horrible work situation or some event where we should have known better. His daughters are young and don’t want to lose their dad as well as their mom. Give them grace.
They are kids and believe whatever their parents tell them. The dad probably twisted the truth and denied abuse. As the parent, it can be easy to manipulate a child to side with you. Probably is what happened. So sad.
A friend of mine thinks that the daughters treat their dad more like a master/lord, like they were groomed by him, which is a disturbing thought, and I didn't think about it til seeing their interview videos. I believe he is guilty, but had help.
Maybe denial. He’s also probably a very good manipulator and no one wants to think that their dad could’ve possibly unalived their mom so they believe him. Hopefully her remains are able to reveal somethings but I’m scared with the amount of decomp that we may have to really cross our fingers. I don’t think they’ll be on his side for long though as more comes out. Hopefully.
As @teecharmaine says maybe denial and a great manipulator. I think the fact that their mother's affair came to light really helped his case in convincing them that he was the victim in the marriage.
@@lizbethvizcarra761 that too! im sure he’s convinced them someone else took her life being that she was having an affair. i hate that 😭 hopefully everything comes to light someday.
tbh I'm wondering if he's making them publicly claim to be on his side.. it does not seem genuine to me and they act a bit too close with their dad in public
I don’t understand telling your neighbor to call 911 if her bike was gone? Wouldn’t you assume she was out for a ride? Why call authorities right away cause a bike was gone
@raynewithhorns the abuse is alleged, the cheating is confirmed. You don't think the daughters would know if their father was abusing their mother. Stop it lol
Absolutely agree. Don’t write it, don’t text it, don’t speak it, bc they could always be listening or spying somehow. Even trusted friends could turn on you under pressure or w/ a weapon held to them! Ppl get murdered bc they tell someone they’re going to leave for good, or going to the police. It’s sad.
And even then the possibility of them finding you is still pretty scary...and they had a daughter still in school, so it's not like she could have totally escaped him. He wanted her money and he did what he thought he needed to get it. And so far no consequences. It's sickening...he reeks of guilt!
If he is innocent, then I have a lot of questions about his strange behavior. Like the fact he turned on airplane mode, or went to 5 different dumpsters. This is just such bizarre abnormal behavior.
Or selling stuff BEFORE SUZANNE was found.. The chipmunk story, wow. The bucks Antlers that couldn't be found..call police if her bikes not outside the home?,he told a neighbour?why? Could go on for a while but you all get my drift,,let's hope another trial comes soon folk? All the best Nick UK
The unknown DNA of a serial rapist that was found in her car has always made me wonder. The location of her body while law enforcement were working on a separate case was odd too. Is there a potential serial killer in area? But Barry's suspicious behavior just screams "guilty!" I often vacillate between him being innocent or guilty.
What if the serial unidentified rapist is the one he hired to help him? If he is a transient low life, they could have crossed paths as a temporary worker. And then he disappeared again. Just a thought...
I think he is guilty of something, murder, ( but mayne not his wife) illigeal hunting, money trafficking drugs.... something that he was trying to hide trying to hide that made his story kept changing , then that made police tunal vision on him and miss potentially critical clues ( like why did the affair partner stay hidden for 6 months? Did his wife know? Not following up on the DNA)
Hearing about Safe to compete makes me so happy. As a dancer and dance teacher I really understand the importance of respecting children’s boundaries and making sure they’re safe when dancing.
he tranquilizes elk and saws off their antlers leaving them significantly more vulnerable and confused. and his weird ass chases chipmunks? yeah he’s guilty
When a partner threatens to kill themselves if you leave them--That's abuse. I love how you pointed out what that text says about his mental state and deep feelings about her leaving him.
That's why I won't do anything the transes want. "If you don't use my pronouns I'll KMS, if I can't pee with women I'll KMS, if I can't play sports with women I'll KMS, if you won't suck my ladydongle shenis I'll KMS" well fine go ahead, nobody gonna manipulate me that way.
The husband was definitely acting very odd after she went missing. I really hope they get to the bottom of this and the person who killed her gets held accountable.
Evidence just came out she died from a tranquilizer. Exactly as prosecutors said he did it. Tranquilizer dart found in his dryer. If the daughters still stand by his side after this then they either 1) have severe mental disabilities 2) don't respect or love their mother or want justice for her.
There’s nothing behind his eyes. He is a true psychopath and has his poor daughters fooled. Those poor girls. Their mother was beautiful and a fighter. I hope she gets justice someday
Martin Smallwood and Kurt Simpson have studied this case from the beginning. Their theory is that BM ended Suzanne's life on Friday, May 8 - shortly after BM received the text of Suzanne's grievances. (BM has fingernail marks on his hands and arms - which would indicate defensive measures by Suzanne.) BM then had control of Suzanne's phone and pretended to be Suzanne in messages to Jeff. Normally, Suzanne and Jeff only texted a few times a day - but BM really overdid it. It is a theory that makes a lot of sense. In the messages, BM as Suzanne, talked about the fine night she and BM spent together, etc. things Suzanne would never have said.
Another theory ignoring hard evidence. Uses circumstantial evidence *and then* adds even more assumptions. Like I said there's a reason these people sit behind keyboards and aren't actual investigators
Barry's animal tranquilizer explanation is strange. People who buy/collect antlers don't want them sawn off the animal because it ruins the antlers. Did they look into his claim that he was illegally tranquilizing the deer and elk to take their antlers to even see it that's why he really had the tranquilizer? There's no way to get antlers off with them remaining intact without killing the animal and sawing off the top of it's skull, leaving the antlers attached to the bone. You can wait for the animal to shed them naturally after mating season but you don't need tranquilizers for that. When it happens naturally, you're only likely to find one here or there, and not sitting neatly on the ground in a matched set. Very fishy, like all of his "explanations".
Exactly! My husband actually looks for antlers in the woods. He uses them as either decoration or to secure parts of his leather pouches/bags. Or he buys them in bulk online. (This is for his business.) He's also an avid hunter (not a trophy hunter; we use everything). Thank you for explaining it so well.
Hahaha "sitting neatly on the ground as a matched set."😂😂 The deer and the elk are so kind to shed their antlers and then wrap them up in a bow for hoomans to find!
The biggest evidence for me is the way he talks about possibilities of her death, like a mountain lion. If my loved one was missing, the last thing I'd do is think of it as a game 'oo how did she die' I would immediately focussing on getting her back, assuming she's alive until i am proven otherwise.
This is what got me. When he said "they drag their prey" so distasteful and undignified when discussing potential situations about someone you claim to love.
BM has no soul, you can just look at him, let alone why he wasn’t spending time with her on Mother’s Day.(Or was he there chasing her around with a drug dart gun-that killed her in minutes, where he had six hours to clean up and dispose of her body)? Her poor family!😮😮
From the moment I saw Barry's weird "plea" for kidnappers to contact him, I knew this guy was involved in her death. I don't know how he did it, but in my opinion he killed Suzanne, hid her body, then eventually disposed of it in Moffatt. I hope the truth comes out...
I agree with you 100%… but with the cadaver dogs, how could there be no trail? Even if he stuffed her in a freezer or the mattress in the hotel, there had to be a trail.
@@kamidsjournee the dogs did mark a few spots including his digging machine or CAT or whatever. It's possible that he subdued her with a tranquilizer dart and then killed her elsewhere? He turned off his phone a few times and they believe he messed with his vehicle too. I'm hopeful they were able to recover evidence on or around her remains that tie to the killer, whoever it may be. But Barry looks damn guilty. My money would be on him having committed this crime.
@@tishwitchthat’s true about the places the dogs located the ‘scent’ (what did they call it?). I was thinking that he killed her there, but he could have drugged her and killed her elsewhere, excellent point. Well, if he tranquillized her and put her in her bed, that would never be a trigger scent since it was her bed. For whatever reason, I have no doubt he’s guilty. I bet she was “sleeping” when he “woke up”. He probably killed her with excessive tranquilizers.
It sickens me seeing the daughters being next to their mother's murderer 🤢 All the garbage bags, the lying, their mother literally saying that she was afraid of him and his aggressiveness and his guns, bullet marks found in their bedroom, the smell of chlorine everywhere... What else do the need to see the obvious? They are betraying their mother.
To say they're betraying their mother is both ridiculous and deeply hurtful. I'm sure they loved their mother and if they knew their father had killed her, they wouldn't be supporting him. It's called denial, and it happens to people whose brains are protecting them from further trauma. It's unfortunate that they can't see the truth, but judging them when you have no idea what it's like to be in that situation is gross and unneeded.
i can name atleast 20 things that scream guilty. the list continues. i can also agree it angers me that they defend him but i can also understand it puts them in a hard position. i just can’t understand HOW they would think he is innocent after all this.
@@bigpablo673 like i said, i understand that but it’s hard to believe anyone would think he’s innocent for a lot of reasons. not just his location. of course, innocent until proven guilty (unfortunately, in cases like this) but in my head all of these factors screen guilty.
I feel for Suzanne’s daughters so deeply. They lost their mother in such a traumatic manner and now their father’s character is being ripped to shreds. Of course they wouldn’t want to think he’s capable of something so disgusting, he is their dad. Although I am highly suspicious of Barry, I hope for Mallory and Macy’s sake that he is innocent.
You know it's hard to think a loved one could have done something so horrible and no one knows what they have seen and heard from their father and from their own eyes and hears
denial is extremely common, even for situations that are nowhere near as extreme as this. don’t pass judgement on his daughters when you don’t know what it would feel like to be in their shoes.
It makes perfect sense that they’re responding this way. One little thought is the difference between losing one parent and losing both, along with everything you’ve known for your entire life. And the reason you’ve lost everything is because your father murdered your mother. Right now they’ve suffered a horrible tragedy as a unit but with an otherwise intact life. And one little thought can take everything else away. So I’m not surprised at all. That said, they look pretty delusional and it’s frustrating to see
I mean, consider their situation: there's a strong chance that your dad killed and dismembered your mom; accepting that would be accepting that you'll be losing both of your parents, while denying that would at least let you keep the one that's still breathing. Wouldn't that be hellish to go through?
Exactly. He literally addresses Suzanne in his "plea" ...as if a kidnapped woman is able to watch tv or social media to relay a message to her kidnappers? So bizarre. And what evidence was there that anyone took her or wanted money in exchange for her???? A more appropriate message to send to the public would have been to give a physical description of Suzanne, explain where she was last seen etc and then offer ways for the public to help fiind her and how to contact law enforcement
Nothing will ever convince me that Barry didn't do it. NOTHING. I mean; it's just coincidence that his phone is on airplane mode for 6 HOURS, at the EXACT SAME TIME Suzanne went radio silent and was never heard from again? Yeah right 👌🏼 His phone activity all night when he was 'sleeping', his car doors opening so many times. FIVE different dumpsters for 'rubbish'?! With a DIFFERENT set of clothes for each dumpster?! A hotel room full of chlorine? Burning her journal? His car in the same area as her helmet? Wild ass stories about chasing chipmunks and following elk and mountain lion attacks? (but no seriously - what's with the FIVE changes of clothing for FIVE different dumpsters?!) And all of this bizarre behaviour and 'coincidences' after Suzanne goes missing? Not before? Not EVER before? Yeah, right 👌🏼 The cops are spot on the money. They just have to figure out how her body ended up in Moffatt. Was it those 6 hours of airplane mode? Was it an accomplice? Murder for hire? Did he move her there at a later date? Whatever the answer - Barry was 100% involved. I am starting to believe it was pre-meditated, including the graves being dug out. Barry's employees said they had no reason to be in Broomfield on that Mothers Day and it was a waste of time because they had no equipment. Yet, that meeting to "check out the new site" would have been pre-arranged with the staff, so what would the reason be to organise a bogus meeting in advance? He has to be the dumbest liar out there, he's literally made himself look and sound guilty, and yet somehow is smart enough to get away with this. My heart breaks for his daughters that stand by him. I get it, I really do, he's their only parent left and as if you want to believe your father can do such a thing, but I believe one day their world will be shattered.
I feel he’s guilty and that he had help hide her or figured out a way to discard her at a later time using a construction vehicle. He’s narcissistic and the daughters of course don’t want to lose another parent, so they are blindly believing him.

I feel like Barry Morphew played us all. Based on the recent developments, it all of a sudden becomes crystal clear why Barry created such an elaborate song and dance routine based on his wife being taken so close to home and her killer looking like a big cat with large paws and teeth. It makes perfect sense for Barry to direct everybody’s attention close to home whilst he takes his own sweet time and leisure moving Suzanne’s remains and hiding them 45 minutes away. And then there’s Barry’s choice of where to put his wife’s remains! Where better than a place well known as “the bone yard”…a place known specifically for the number of bodies hidden there? Undoubtedly, the police will have issues retrieving Susanne’s remains in a meaningful way helped to her case as a whole, but it also gives the Morphew girls one more perspective regarding their mother’s murder. I truly hope Barry Morphew is innocent. I also truly doubt it. I also wouldn’t doubt it if he had an accomplice. I suppose only time will tell.
Seems like if he did this he thought it through like you say. Very clever of him, knowing how much circumstantial evidence he would undoubtedly have left behind, to find a way to provide reasonable doubt. I think he's clever and guilty but I hope for his beautiful his girls that he's not.
It makes me wonder if the prosecution is part of the criminals who did these crimes in Arizona, Chicago and with her because having kept that information from the defense was heinous. They should be required to share their DNA because of that.
In 2007 we lost my brother to Hodgkin’s lymphoma so I do not posit the following from a place of insensitivity. My brother was 12 years younger than Suzanne, fought the good fight for 11 years. Enjoyed temporary successes after bone marrow transplants but he still passed. Why kill anyone who suffers this form of cancer? Secondly (and completely aside from the cancer issue) why has no one ever seriously looked at the daughters who “were camping” during those days in May? Firstly Colorado isn’t exactly in deep spring during most Mothers Days and we know there was a 5-6 foot snowpack near their home at that time. That’s some hardcore camping. If Barry could be proven to have had an accomplice this case immediately shifts over to a Scott Peterson level of circumstantial guilt. The only two things keeping Barry free are prosecutorial missteps in 2021 and a travel timeline that doesn’t work. But it doesn’t work by 45-90 minutes. This case is gonna blow wide open for sure
Could he have buried her by the worksite first and then returned and moved her to her final resting place? I just find it so hard to believe that he wasn't involved. RIP Suzanne 🙏
I an local to this case, & personally think there are many places investigators should check for more evidence. He had multiple properties that he was working on @ the time. Could’ve buried a ton more evidence!
The only thing is his truck. Unless there is some random ass truck he used to get there (and not get caught by any security cams) how wohld he have done it? And believe me-- I was all in thinkin he was guilty. But to hear her body was found near other murder victims and the dna in her car that match’s a sexual assault culprit is beyond reasonable doubt. Also the fact that the DA hid that sex assault evidence (which, behavior like that is absolutely despicable and is the reason many innocent men and women are in prison or have even been executed). I’m not sayin he’s innocent now, I’m just saying that now with her body found, and now that we kno about the DNA, there is even more reasonable doubt than before… ✌🏽
I still lean towards Suzanne’s husband being involved in her death. Thank you Kendall for providing an update on this case. I am relieved that Suzanne was finally able to be properly laid to rest and I really hope that justice will be served soon.
I can't get past the garbage bags being dumped in so many different dumpsters and all the changes in his stories. Also, he reminds me way too much of Drew Peterson! The new developments of other's DNA found, and where she was found, makes me think It's possible that he didn't act alone.
do you mean scott peterson (laci rocha-peterson's husband) or is peterson just a bad luck name to marry into?? bc i was thinking of him too if thats who you mean. except the circumstantial evidence is even more damning here. makes me wonder how things wouldve gone if technology was where it is now in the early 2000s when that happened.
One thing I'd like to add: when Suzanne said she was on her WA, she meant Whats App. It seemed as though they switched over to that app to have a "sexier" conversation, given the message he sent her just before it. I believe Barry arrived home as that was taking place, and it was downhill from there.
@MissMelanieThomas It just all seems to strongly point to that being the scenario. Kendall laid it out perfectly, but I do see some hesitation from others in the comments.
The theory is that Suzanne's life ended on Friday May 8. BM took over Suzanne's phone and pretended to be her in messages to Jeff. The "proof of life" photo was from a previous vacation. Going on WA would mean that BM would show his face or at least speak. That's why the communication stopped.
My mom went missing 22 years ago me and my siblings were panicked. My stepdad was in a bar two towns away without his cell phone on him. She was found not alive and to this day I think he had something to do with it. Wish they had the technology they have now.

My sincere condolences on the tragic loss of your mum. I can’t imagine what you must go through, not knowing who was responsible. My heart goes out to you and I pray that your questions are soon answered ❤
I truly feel for this case, but I can’t help but wonder if the daughters know something, or know of something that could have led to this. The way the one sister talks, even with her tone and the words she says and how the other pretty much just sits there quietly looking out at something gives me a weird feeling, kinda how some siblings would behave around an abusive/manipulative parent. Like to me it seemed like their father is somewhat emotionally and mentally holding them hostage.
I noticed the same thing too. I'm not sure if they "know" something though, more just 'suspect' or at least 'have doubts'. How could they not?! Their dad is shady as hell, a liar, and cannot definitively account for his whereabouts for lost of the weekend Suzanne went missing. I would think that if I truly, truly, truly believed my father was innocent of murdering my mother, I would be a lot more confident and forceful when speaking about it. However, they did just find out their mothers remains were found, so there is always the possibility of being numb to world and your emotions atm as you process that fact that your mothers remains were found in pieces (the sheer horror of that - I can't even fathom it)
Innocent until proven guilty. That is the case for all legal procedures in the United States, and should be. We can't declare guilt until it has been proven. It stops them from just throwing people in jail without any evidence.
Correct @HeidiSue60! And I’m shocked that they sat on DNA evidence, but that’s what law enforcement does when they get tunnel vision, unfortunately. Also IMO the prosecution also shouldn’t have run their mouths about knowing where she was and when the snow melted they would have all the evidence they needed lol
@@sarahkathryn90 They need to investigate this case more and find out how her body wound up in that area. Until they have the evidence of that there is reasonable doubt that he did it. No prosecutor would bring this to trial without that evidence. Too risky and if acquitted due to that reason he can never be tried again for her murder.
This is so strange. When you covered it before, I thought for certain that the husband had done it, and I still kind of do, but the ability to trace when or where her remains were until they got to the field is going to be really important to any kind of conviction, I suspect. If Barry did it, and he concealed her remains until a later time when he could throw her into the field, it will be very difficult to prove it was him. After all, he could have borrowed someone's vehicle at any time and used it to go there.
I just hope the prosecution can pull it together and get someone competent on the case. It's so infuriating to hear about cases where prosecutors just completely drop the ball and fail, potentially causing a murderer to walk free. I don't know exactly what happened, of course, but it seems obvious to me that regardless of whether he had help, he's the primary person responsible for her death.
While I am leaning towards he did this, there’s way too much reasonable doubt. The DNA of an unknown individual who has also been tied to 3 SAs, the fact he wasn’t in the area her remains were discovered and everything else. I just dont know now. I truly hope the truth comes out and justice is served.
The DNA was a partial match with the CODIS DNA related to sexual assault. It was not a match - not belonging to the same person. LE knows the identity of the person the glove box DNA belongs to. He lives in AZ and was nowhere near CO when SM disappeared.
If I’m looking at this according to the law and as an impartial juror, how am I able to dismiss the dna from an unknown sex offender in CODUS? The explanation of her remains and how they got there and how she died is going to be extremely pertinent. If I’m going by just my own interpretation then yea I’m implying her husband. We all know he probably found out she sent that bikini pic to her boyfriend and chased her around and lost his shit and you know from there that was it. Some have theorized Barry walked to that location or ran even and who knows, maybe ? Did he take a piece of construction equipment there? I mean was he an avid runner? Etc. So many unknowns
Kendall, I work at a university and am currently working on updating our minors on campus policy for when children come on campus including for various sports camps so thank you for sharing that NCMEC resource!
to be fair... i think most of us would be really awkward trying to make a similar video in that context while knowing you 'need to look really sad and what you think ppl want to see' because ppl think you murdered your closest family member
Always cracks me up how everyone says he has maintained his innocence and absolutely unequivocally says he has nothing to do with his wife’s disappearance…what is the guy going to say: “I did it, I am guilty, lock me up?” Whatever he says is irrelevant…let the facts and clues lead to the truth, whether he denies or or not.
Now something in my gutt is telling me he didnt do it himself but hired someone to do it for him. There is too much evidence pointing to a guilty person just not enough pointing to him as the one to carry it out. He definitely knows way more then he is saying
I totally respect your opinion, so this isn't an argument to that.. but I believe he very much lost his temper after arriving home and catching her on Whats App with her lover. I believe wholeheartedly he did it in the heat of the moment. And I believe he moved her body that night but moved it again at a later time. His phone data appeared as though he was chasing her around the house moments after her phone showed her talking to the lover. The door to the bedroom was freshly broken, etc. The DNA in the car.. I don't know; we do not have much to go on there.. but I do know I picked up a homeless man who was walking barefoot in the freezing rain the other day. So his DNA is in my car, on a bag of food, and a blanket. I say all of that to say, I don't know how the DNA of another guy got there, but it's not throwing me off from thinking it was him that snapped after knowing he was losing control of her and then likely catching her sexting the lover. (I say that due to a text he sent to her before she switched from LinkedIn to Whats Up) Either one of them could have given someone a ride in her car at any point before it was finger printed. Just a thought.
I think he's innocent all the evidence against is normal stuff that could be misinterpreted I'm over seas and if my wife disappeared there would be lots of stuff that could make me look bad, I'm confused why no one is talking about the DNA found that was linked to 3 sexual asults that to me seems like it would have been a big deal but they swept it under the rug and her Bodie was found with a bunch of other remains so unless berry has unalived a dozen people it couldn't have been him
These situations always make me so sad because the people she loved more than anything- her own children- won’t advocate for her against the man who in all probability took her life. And I get it. They can’t bring themselves to believe it. But it’s sad.
I bet they spent their entire childhood being told conflicting stories, seeing conflict, having it smoothed over and explained by both parents. They have been able to see bad behavior on both sides, and almost certainly seen their mother downplay his behavior. They are very torn and don’t know what to believe. And to believe their father murdered their mother will tear down what remains of the foundation of their childhood. I can imagine the first part of the scenario, lived that. In his final months, I know 100% my mother verbally and emotionally abused my father (88) on a daily, often hourly basis. She blamed him for his physical losses from his stroke five years earlier. He was not bed bound, but did move very slowly with a walker, said it was because he abused his body when younger. My brothers think she walks on water. I don’t hate her, I do hate how she treated him. Dysfunctional childhoods produce dysfunctional adults, and these girls are not old enough to have gained perspective, and losing their mother is pushing them to cling to their father.
@@lilolmecj dang your mom was really cruel....hard enough to have to go through a stroke, but then to be abused over it ? I'm sorry he had to go through that
As a fellow Hodgkin’s survivor, Suzanne already went through so much so she can live a full, healthy life. It’s just so devastating to learn what happened to her. Sending love to her daughters ❤❤❤
Justice will be served! This is definitely the beginning. Just because they have proven facts that he wasn’t in the area where her body was found based on his truck that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have gotten help elsewhere.
It’s really weird to have so many things linked to him during the day she went missing (clorox, phone locations, garbage bags) and then have nothing linked to her remains. It’s baffling but the truth will come out one day
I could never imagine sticking by a parent suspected of murdering the other. The thought of standing by a murderer just because there’s room for doubt is sickening to me. I get that they don’t want to lose another parent, but they already have. If I can’t be 100% sure of their innocence, I just couldn’t stand by them like that. Losing another parent is nowhere near as bad as standing by your mother’s murderer, hopefully one day they will understand that innocent people simply don’t look and act this guilty. Letecia Stauch’s daughter regretted ever believing her, and these girls will likely do the same. I just wish they could skip that middle step that is so disrespectful to their mother’s memory.
This is an excellent realistic video for anyone wanting to get into flying .... Know when to leave is the best take out from it , though every single point you made was relatable .... I flew for 20 years had an awesome time but left when I started to resent going to work.....cherish my memories but am happy that I left it when I did✌
Such a terrible case, I really feel for Suzanne. Barry’s behaviour is so deeply suspicious, the constant lying about timing and his location on the day of, as well as the lead up to her go missing, dumping so much rubbish in other bins, etc. I just don’t see how he couldn’t be guilty, if not of murdering her, at least having something to do with her go missing or disposing of her. I think he may have initially buried her at the work site and moved her later on.
Saw the title, never clicked so fast!! I’ve been watching this case FOREVER it feels, I’m so glad she was found, husband is definitely sus after she went missing, I feel he was doing too little, I’m glad her family got this closure.❤️
As a hunter, no normal person would tranquilizer and steal an animals antlers. That is so incredibly fucked up. That is just evil and not a representation of what a good hunter would ever do. Antlers are simply found once they are shed, not stolen
this case is insane this man is so incredibly stupid and suzanne was so smart for writing these notes on her phone. she knew he was going to take her life and she wanted to make it known to everyone else
His video he made shows he’s clearly guilty. He’s shaking his head no while saying he wants his wife back What a douche I hope he gets life without parole.
I noticed the head shaking too… definitely body language for nope she can’t come back bc he knows… definitely believe he is guilty and has someone who helped him. His truck stayed home, his phone too and he was somewhere else..
My thoughts are that, even though I think he killed her, I don't know anymore if the prosecution can prove this against reasonable doubt. I think that the investigators should(and probably have) look into more about the third party DNA that was found, because that is a big case of reasonable doubt. I think it is going to take a little more evidence to come out before we see another trial happen
As soon as I heard that I knew he did it. At that point she was just a number. He took her life then he took her votes. Six months had passed and he knew she wasn't coming home.
The daughters are weird to me.. they smiling as if they just won the lottery, to quote Kendall. They still have a mother who was gone without a trace. They're behaviour is weird to me. idk.
Even if the love isn't there anymore, not going along the searching team is just too cold. Changing the story drastically is also a bad sign. Not saying he's the murderer. Can't deny the fact that his strange behaviors align with other murderers tho
No case has got me as invested as this case has. Even if it can't be proven in a court of law, we know from Susan that he was abusive and that is enough! Poor Susan! 😢 For so many reasons Barry is a piece of sh@t! We have more than enough evidence that he is trash! 😢 The DNA in the car could be from a mechanic but also this scenario either involves her car at home OR a bike ride. If it's car who and why was a bike put down the hill? Why would a serial killer have a need to create a random other scenario? The only person who needed to create a 'it happened on her daily bike' ride" situation is Barry.
it wouldnt have made sense if the dna that was found hadnt already been proven to be from someone who has yet to be caught for a multitude of unsolved sexual assaults and disappearances. hence the serial killer train of thought
Well, we dont know if he was abusive. We only know that Suzanne claimed that to her friend. But we know she cheated on her husband. It could just been an excuse by her to be unfaithful. There is no other source about Barry beeing abusive.
IMO I think he's guilty just because of how he's acting. The serial killer theory might also be a thing but usually, serial killers have a pattern for the most part.
I can’t wait to see the autopsy report and if the body was moved, I have a feeling he moved her body after he found out about that fields history and what it was known for!!
"Her death was determined to have been caused by "Homicide by undetermined means in the setting of butorphanol, azaperone, and medetomidine intoxication," according to the autopsy."
Thankfully I binged watched many of your episodes this past week so I recalled this case and the evidence. It’s a crazy turn of events and literally just praying that justice is served for the victim ❤
Yes. I had to get a restraining order years ago. Here, judges will normally sign orders for 1 year but when he found out this guy had threatened to k8ll himself, the judge signed an order for 2 years. If someone doesn’t have respect for themself, they won’t have respect/regard for anyone else’s life.
I love how no one has said he could’ve had someone else take her body. Also, he could’ve disposed of her body laterrrrr from a location that was on his gps…and left his phone on airplane mode AT HOME. I’m not a murderer but I can tell you if I committed a serious crime I’d leave my phone behind for sure while doing it
Her husband killed her for certain. However, her body was moved to that ultimate location, some time after her death. He moved her body from the first outdoors location to the area where she was found at some point. .
I suffered from the same cancer as Suzanne, so hitting to hear she was partly identified due to her chemo port. To think she twice beat cancer to be murdered is so unfair. She was a beautiful woman & had family who needed her. RIP
yeah sometimes cheating ends in murder especially if the woman cheats.

He most certainly did this… why was he throwing garbage bags away at random locations? It was obviously things he used to clean up or things covered in her blood. THIS IS RIDICULOUS
Agree!!!
Yup! And changing clothes each time he disposed of things?! Wth 🤦🏽♀️
And why is his story constantly changing?!?!?!
Yea-totally not normal and anyone who says they do that all the time? Just back away slowly…
Absolutely right
Barry is so full of it...
Sarah Turney was also supportive of his dad at first. Give them time.
They have betrayed their mom, probably because daddy foots the bill for everything. They ain’t shit
Yeah, I haven't heard that many flip flops in a story since Jodi Arias
Always the spouse we all know this...
The things that won’t leave my mind is: 1. He told the neighbours that if her bike isn’t there to call the police, 2. His story kept changing, 3 the cameras capturing him dumping so many garbage bags and 4. His phone made so many moves on his property that were not normal. Things are definitely not adding up and I hope that justice is served to whomever did this
Not adding up indeed 😮
Bleaching his shovels too, from what I heard.
Just a note. I believe it was his cars black box that tracked his movements at the house. Either way it's sus.
@deasvail99 if that's true, who tf BLEACHES a shovel? Out of all the cleaning methods he chose bleach?
And his phone data showed he was running around chasing something which they believe he shot her with a tranquilizer gun, he never mentioned the movement and then when confronted he said he was chasing a chipmunk.... omg he is such a fricken liar! No one changes their mind as much as he does! I can't believe his daughters believe him!
Being identified by her cancer port is so heartbreaking.💔
When you are waiting for someone to return, you don't sell their home, car, and belongings. This is the best breakdown on this case I've seen. Thanks, Kendall.

No you don't. You would keep things exactly as they were. Sometimes even for years

People who deliberately harm animals are more likely to harm other humans
Yeah, the elk thing is all I needed to know that he is not a man of honor. Innocent until proven guilty, but he's not a good person.
The true crime case he was listening to about the ‘bicycle’
It's beyond understanding! I guess they take after their father rather than their mother!
Maybe they know their mother better than you do from watching a UA-cam video and they think she wasn't being truthful
Inheritance money talks
I think we all have moments in our lives where we don’t see the truth that is front of us. Most of us have been through a difficult divorce, a horrible work situation or some event where we should have known better. His daughters are young and don’t want to lose their dad as well as their mom. Give them grace.
They are kids and believe whatever their parents tell them. The dad probably twisted the truth and denied abuse. As the parent, it can be easy to manipulate a child to side with you. Probably is what happened. So sad.
Just hearing “not safe alone with you. Gun.” In her notes app is so terrifying
A friend of mine thinks that the daughters treat their dad more like a master/lord, like they were groomed by him, which is a disturbing thought, and I didn't think about it til seeing their interview videos.
I believe he is guilty, but had help.
I agree 💯!
Maybe they rely on him financially
If he isn’t responsible, that is wild, and I feel for them. That being said, that was a whole mountain of incriminating circumstantial evidence.
If he didn't do this, he has had an insane amount of bad luck! I feel he did, but if he didn't I feel incredibly sorry for him.
He was chasing and shooting at chipmunks. And he needs tranquilizers in his garden because of you know, deer.
@@xxxxxxxxx3944💀😆
He did it. Because who else would it be? Only he had the motive.
I think in the end he will be found connected to the murder.
How can her daughters ignore Suzanne’s iPhone notes entries and text messages to her friends about Barry’s abuse????
They don’t care. Unfortunately a lot of great fathers are shitty husbands.
tbh I'm wondering if he's making them publicly claim to be on his side.. it does not seem genuine to me and they act a bit too close with their dad in public
I don’t understand telling your neighbor to call 911 if her bike was gone? Wouldn’t you assume she was out for a ride? Why call authorities right away cause a bike was gone
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing!!
She wouldn’t have been on a ride for that long so they probably thought something happened while on her bike ride
It could be that the girls just turn off to all the evidence because they just dont want to believe it
Okay, thank you, I thought I was trippin for a second! That was my first thought. I absolutely think he did it.
BM didn't want a recorded fake-sounding "Oh Suzanne" 911 call.
How frustrating. He did this and he had help. He repeatedly lied and none of his actions can be explained away.
No proof that he had help.
I wonder who liked him enough to risk their life helping him? He wasn't well-liked
I don't think he had help tho
Nah he did it himself
He was a firefighter...those guys (firefighters) are as thick as thieves!
Him shaking his head as he says “I just want her to be found.” Says a lot subconsciously.

Chris Watts did the same thing in an interview when his pregnant wife and two little girls went missing. He was later found guilty.
Imagine beating cancer twice just to be (allegedly) murdered by your husband. I hope Suzanne and her daughters get justice

Huh? It was never said that he killed her
@@waynebartley2404 that’s why I said Allegedly

Never say anything to the abuser...just quietly prepare for the escape...and get away. Don't tell anyone..until you are safe.👍
It’s sad.
yeah people get murdered too because of cheating.
And even then the possibility of them finding you is still pretty scary...and they had a daughter still in school, so it's not like she could have totally escaped him. He wanted her money and he did what he thought he needed to get it. And so far no consequences. It's sickening...he reeks of guilt!
Yes absolutely!
I totally agree with you
If he is innocent, then I have a lot of questions about his strange behavior. Like the fact he turned on airplane mode, or went to 5 different dumpsters. This is just such bizarre abnormal behavior.

Exactly if he's innocent what was he upto?!
And the fact that he kept changing his story. That's highly suspicious.

Not to mention the changing stories he told.
The unknown DNA of a serial rapist that was found in her car has always made me wonder. The location of her body while law enforcement were working on a separate case was odd too. Is there a potential serial killer in area? But Barry's suspicious behavior just screams "guilty!" I often vacillate between him being innocent or guilty.
yeah this creates crazy amount of reasonable doubt imo
100% agree.
What if the serial unidentified rapist is the one he hired to help him? If he is a transient low life, they could have crossed paths as a temporary worker. And then he disappeared again. Just a thought...
@@silvinasi You are absolutely right because I have ever worked for a landscape company under the table for a week.
I think he is guilty of something, murder, ( but mayne not his wife) illigeal hunting, money trafficking drugs.... something that he was trying to hide trying to hide that made his story kept changing , then that made police tunal vision on him and miss potentially critical clues ( like why did the affair partner stay hidden for 6 months? well fine go ahead, nobody gonna manipulate me that way.
Oh I didn’t know these facts. Absolutely spot on!!!!!
Yes!! Thank you for this well worded explanation. That was my first thought but could not articulate it as well as you did!!!
Exactly! My husband actually looks for antlers in the woods. He uses them as either decoration or to secure parts of his leather pouches/bags. Or he buys them in bulk online. (This is for his business.) He's also an avid hunter (not a trophy hunter; we use everything). Thank you for explaining it so well.
the explanation for it is strange paired with all of the phone pings exactly how they described the possible scenario of him chasing her around…
Hahaha "sitting neatly on the ground as a matched set."😂😂 The deer and the elk are so kind to shed their antlers and then wrap them up in a bow for hoomans to find!
@@strawberrylime33 🤣🤣🤣
@@tishwitchthat’s true about the places the dogs located the ‘scent’ (what did they call it?). I bet she was “sleeping” when he “woke up”. He probably killed her with excessive tranquilizers.
It sickens me seeing the daughters being next to their mother's murderer 🤢
All the garbage bags, the lying, their mother literally saying that she was afraid of him and his aggressiveness and his guns, bullet marks found in their bedroom, the smell of chlorine everywhere...

Couldn’t have said it better, completely agree.
I know it must be a complete mind f*ck but knowing all the information how can they stand by their father? Where is their loyalty to mom 😢
*Guilty af*
This was such a good hearted comment.
It blows my mind that his daughters continue to stand by him, it's so obvious he did it like there's no way they can still be in denial
Maybe they helped daddy!
That dude's message to "kidnappers" is the worst acting I've seen since Ashton and Mila's fake apology.
It's giving "Gone Girl"

Especially from a man who had been very strongly pushing the idea that his wife had been dragged off by a mountain lion.
Yeah right 👌🏼
His phone activity all night when he was 'sleeping', his car doors opening so many times.
(but no seriously - what's with the FIVE changes of clothing for FIVE different dumpsters?!)
And all of this bizarre behaviour and 'coincidences' after Suzanne goes missing? Not before? Not EVER before?
Yeah, right 👌🏼
The cops are spot on the money.
Everytime he speaks about him loving her and that he wants her to come home, his shaking his head the whole time. Guilty guilty guilty
I feel he’s guilty and that he had help hide her or figured out a way to discard her at a later time using a construction vehicle. He’s narcissistic and the daughters of course don’t want to lose another parent, so they are blindly believing him.

I totally think Barry did it. Whether they can prove that beyond a reasonable doubt is another thing.
I thought a bobcat is a big cat with teeth. Poor me just learned it's a machine from the video.
I really hope he faces justice for this, thanks for making an update. I’m glad she’s been found but it’s the worst possible outcome 😢
Near the 5 stops for dropping trash???
The only thing is his truck. Unless there is some random ass truck he used to get there (and not get caught by any security cams) how wohld he have done it? And believe me-- I was all in thinkin he was guilty. But to hear her body was found near other murder victims and the dna in her car that match’s a sexual assault culprit is beyond reasonable doubt. Also the fact that the DA hid that sex assault evidence (which, behavior like that is absolutely despicable and is the reason many innocent men and women are in prison or have even been executed). I’m not sayin he’s innocent now, I’m just saying that now with her body found, and now that we kno about the DNA, there is even more reasonable doubt than before… ✌🏽
that’s what i think
@@Romie926cadaver dogs aren’t always accurate esp if he was cleaning up which there’s proof of because of the hotel room
Did anyone else see at 53:50 that he said “I love my girls” and nodded then “I love my wife” and shook his head? Very telling!!
Good catch!
I still lean towards Suzanne’s husband being involved in her death. Thank you Kendall for providing an update on this case. I am relieved that Suzanne was finally able to be properly laid to rest and I really hope that justice will be served soon.
his daughters need to watch this video. they are in major denial. my heart goes out to them :(
Oh I bet they are watching lots of videos, especially Barry!!!!
no denial. money talks
I can't get past the garbage bags being dumped in so many different dumpsters and all the changes in his stories. Also, he reminds me way too much of Drew Peterson! The new developments of other's DNA found, and where she was found, makes me think
It's possible that he didn't act alone.
LE knows the identity of the glove box DNA guy. His DNA is only a PARTIAL match with the CODIS DNA - meaning it is not the same person.
do you mean scott peterson (laci rocha-peterson's husband) or is peterson just a bad luck name to marry into?? bc i was thinking of him too if thats who you mean. except the circumstantial evidence is even more damning here. makes me wonder how things wouldve gone if technology was where it is now in the early 2000s when that happened.
@@milannoelle1576 Drew Peterson is a separate killer from the Chicago area.
One thing I'd like to add: when Suzanne said she was on her WA, she meant Whats App. It seemed as though they switched over to that app to have a "sexier" conversation, given the message he sent her just before it. I believe Barry arrived home as that was taking place, and it was downhill from there.
That's exactly how I think it went down.
It makes me feel physically sick to see Barry living his life like he had nothing to do with this! 🤬
yeah go take some meds.
Been watching you since before 1 million, it’s amazing to see how much you’ve done for people in that amount of time ❤ thank you Kendall

My sincere condolences on the tragic loss of your mum. I can’t imagine what you must go through, not knowing who was responsible. My heart goes out to you and I pray that your questions are soon answered ❤

I wonder if it's still possible for an agency or whatever to help you get those answers. Rip to your mother.💓
However, they did just find out their mothers remains were found, so there is always the possibility of being numb to world and your emotions atm as you process that fact that your mothers remains were found in pieces (the sheer horror of that - I can't even fathom it)
I am shocked to learn that this man is considered innocent at this point. The justice system is inefficient, to say the least. 😳
It's crazy that they don't have enough now to have re-arrested him, but where her body was found definitely throws a lot off
@@sarahkathryn90 They need to investigate this case more and find out how her body wound up in that area. Until they have the evidence of that there is reasonable doubt that he did it. No prosecutor would bring this to trial without that evidence. Too risky and if acquitted due to that reason he can never be tried again for her murder.
Money money money
This is so strange. When you covered it before, I thought for certain that the husband had done it, and I still kind of do, but the ability to trace when or where her remains were until they got to the field is going to be really important to any kind of conviction, I suspect. If Barry did it, and he concealed her remains until a later time when he could throw her into the field, it will be very difficult to prove it was him. After all, he could have borrowed someone's vehicle at any time and used it to go there.
The daughter with the darker hair looked uncomfortable sitting next to her dad. I feel like she has something to say.
Agree, noticed it too. Seemed very submissive and his other daughter was really seems to believe her Dad.
she just wanted to fart but she can't.
Anyone else also love to watch the cat resting in the background? Adorable!
his video reminds me of chris watts when he went on tv to say “if anyone has them please just bring them back” disgusting.
Seeing Lily in the background is an added bonus. She's such a sweet kitty 😻! I love her!
I love how her little face is just pressed into the side of her lil chair🥹
The DNA trips me up too I wish there was more of an explanation for that. The circumstantial evidence seems so telling but I’m still stuck on the DNA.
Plus hiding the evidence... the DA's office acting shady just gives that much more doubt.
He probably did have to give DNA, but I’m wondering if he actually did 🤔if he did not. Could he be the unknown assailant for the other 3 SAs?
The DNA was a partial match with the CODIS DNA related to sexual assault. It was not a match - not belonging to the same person. LE knows the identity of the person the glove box DNA belongs to. He lives in AZ and was nowhere near CO when SM disappeared.
@@karmad4491 thank you for that! Did they give his name? Maybe I missed that?
I think that DNA was from people working on her car you know oil change etc
Rest in peace 🙏

thank u for doing that!
That's amazing, thank you!!
His plea in the video hits me as weird. Like something else is on his mind besides what his words are saying.
yea he seems very dissociated from what he’s saying. it was strange
100%, his body language is giving him away.
to be fair... i think most of us would be really awkward trying to make a similar video in that context while knowing you 'need to look really sad and what you think ppl want to see' because ppl think you murdered your closest family member
The fact he's shaking his head "No" during the whole plea
100% concerned about what grooming this man has done to his own daughters
This
1000% this. I have the uneasiest feeling about them.
🙄
Notice how he shakes his head “no” during his plea? Body language would say he is negating what he is saying orally.
I think his brother or nephew helped him cover and clean up.

But it’s sad.
yeah or maybe they can't accept that their mom fuck with someone else.
They are willfully blind
@@lilolmecj dang your mom was really cruel....hard enough to have to go through a stroke, but then to be abused over it ? I'm sorry he had to go through that

if he is innocent, he is the most guilty acting innocent person ever
Justice will be served! This is definitely the beginning. Just because they have proven facts that he wasn’t in the area where her body was found based on his truck that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have gotten help elsewhere.
So sad that she was found dead. But hopefully this will give the rest of her family the closure they need and justice can be served.
I feel like this is a case of “if I can’t have you, no one will.”
We appreciate how well you've articulated your own insights on cases like these. You'll always have our support.
It’s really weird to have so many things linked to him during the day she went missing (clorox, phone locations, garbage bags) and then have nothing linked to her remains. It’s baffling but the truth will come out one day
I just discovered your channel, thank you for sharing. Thank you for what you are doing for children!
So sad the unhappiness and secrets behind the smiles of this family.
I 1000% believe he did it!!!!
No doubt in my mind. I really hope they find enough evidence to covict him!!
For real because who else would it be!?

His body language in the interview speaks volumes! He shakes his head “no” the whole time he is saying what he is willing to do to find her.
this case is insane this man is so incredibly stupid and suzanne was so smart for writing these notes on her phone. she knew he was going to take her life and she wanted to make it known to everyone else
yet he has gotten away with murder...that's what sucks
His video he made shows he’s clearly guilty. He’s shaking his head no while saying he wants his wife back
What a douche I hope he gets life without parole.
LE knows the identity of the glove box DNA guy. His DNA is only a PARTIAL match with the CODIS DNA - meaning it is not the same person.
He's totally responsible. Gotta love that he committed voter fraud using her as well.
As soon as I heard that I knew he did it. At that point she was just a number. He took her life then he took her votes. Six months had passed and he knew she wasn't coming home.
...😮
The daughters are weird to me.. they smiling as if they just won the lottery, to quote Kendall. They still have a mother who was gone without a trace. They're behaviour is weird to me. idk.
Even if the love isn't there anymore, not going along the searching team is just too cold. Changing the story drastically is also a bad sign.
Not saying he's the murderer. Can't deny the fact that his strange behaviors align with other murderers tho
He figured why waste his time? He knew she wasn't where they were looking. But yeah this was a definitive clue to me that he was the murderer
No case has got me as invested as this case has.
Even if it can't be proven in a court of law, we know from Susan that he was abusive and that is enough! Poor Susan! 😢
For so many reasons Barry is a piece of sh@t! We have more than enough evidence that he is trash! 😢
The DNA in the car could be from a mechanic but also this scenario either involves her car at home OR a bike ride.
The DNA very well could get him a not guilty verdict. I hope it was a mix up at the lab (Cross contamination is more common than they like to admit).
sometimes cheating ends in murder and sadly this one is another example.
@@bm-ww8kbthe way dna works is just a partly match , not a full match
Well, we dont know if he was abusive. We only know that Suzanne claimed that to her friend. But we know she cheated on her husband. It could just been an excuse by her to be unfaithful. There is no other source about Barry beeing abusive.
IMO I think he's guilty just because of how he's acting. The serial killer theory might also be a thing but usually, serial killers have a pattern for the most part.
Thank you for always providing updates to cases when they come out, its so appreciated.

Yes. I had to get a restraining order years ago.
