Awesome video!! I have found in my 38 yrs of hunting nothing can compete with the lacrosse rubber hunting boot and I’ve yet to find one that is also 18’inches high. I don’t stalk them like you guys do up in Maine but I sit dark to dark in blinds with cold weather so the higher number thinsulte the better. Once again awesome video

Last 2 pairs of muck and last 2 pairs of lacrosse have been junk. None lasted a season and I only get to hunt 20-25 days a year. There is a definite market if someone will build a quality item.

Thanks Jason, I bought a product on Amazon called Boot Bond Glue, it' like a super glue for boots and I've used it on both rubber and leather boots and shoes. It works great!

Fellow wetland scientist here, thanks for the video! Do you have any recommendations for steel toe muck boots? I've had success with the Cabela's Zoned Comfort Trac Insulated Rubber Hunting Boots for sometime now because of the full rubber upper overlays it has to protect from briers, etc. I like the nylon shank on the boots too. Trying to find a solid pair that meet ASTM standards.

The first kind of boots like these I got for Horse work are from tractor supply, they're by Itasca they're similar to the first one you displayed but they have really good traction on the sole actually

I got 2 pairs of steel toe muck and 1 pair of the Bogs Snake boots.
Not sure what will last the longest
I’m in very rural Kentucky. We got snakes and nothing but blackberry briar everywhere.
My biggest complaint so far is how hot they get in the summer.

Great video jason, i was looking for a review of rubber boots since the last month, only finding outdated videos that does not describe the true utility of the boots. I was planning on buying the Arxus Primo Nord Zip, i have not seen any videos reviewing this brand of boots, do you know the brand?, and well if you have time, could you make a video for beginners about rubber boots? its only a request, im so sorry if it is weird what im saying, but thanks in advance and thanks for this video.

Great vid! I have the 16 inch classic Bean Hunting Shoe and the Lacrosse Grange. I use the Bean boot more for walking trails hunting grouse and the Grange for deer hunting. Neither have great traction. Really informative video. Think I'll stick with the simple and lightweight Grange. Though I've always been interested in the Xtra Tuff brown rubber boots that so many Alaskans wear. I'll have to try those out some day.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching! And the Grange is always a solid choice

LE CHAMEAU boot is the best made boot of all the boots you reviewed. No synthetic rubber, 100% sap rubber, leather lined. Not really a bout for different terrain mostly used for field bird hunting

I was reading that one rubber boot manufacturer in Europe (not China) consumes about 750 tons of natural rubber per year to make 700,000 pairs of boots by hand. The rubber sourced from sustainable plantations in Vietnam. For the sake of the planet we should absolutely be seeking where possible to consume materials like natural rubber which are carbon sinks, are more biodegradable and don't cause plastic micro-pollution.

idk how you come to that -i use rubber boots all the time and the most locking thing with rubber boots is the lock of rigid thick sole , and thick rubber should be doubled and strong around foot area so foot is stable.
rigid sole is what makes you foot not roll and be able to stay stable if you step on edge of the terrain.
soft boots make you foot slide all over the place

My neighbor wear rubber boots to work at crown Zellerbach paper mill in Oregon City. Then his son started wearing rubber boots. They both went crippled!

I have 8 pairs of USA made Lacrosse Burlys , big chiefs, Trapers, and vintage Professionals top lace. All in perfect condition, 15 to 40 year old boots and waders, and all used all year fishing and hiking . I used rubber protectant on them and keep them stored in dark they will last forever. The china made aren't same quality

Been running lacrosse boots for 7-8 years now. I swear the quality in the rubber has gone down. Seems softer than ever. I’m hard on them and put close to 10 miles or more a day but seems hard pressed to last a season now

The old Lacrosse boots were made in America. They are now made off shore and the quality has gone into the toilet. I owned a large gun/archery shop and sold many pairs of Lacrosse boots prior to them moving off shore in 2001. I NEVER had a return. I my self have had two pairs of my own Lacrosse Burley boots fail with the soles coming off. Lacrosse doesn't want to hear anything nor offer replacement or repair. As far as I'm concerned, they SUCK !
