Wow! I have nearly the same Muck boots, Arctic Pro, they were advertised as the coldest rubber boot so I thought I would give them a go. Unfortunately I found them to be pretty cold when the temps are below freezing, I also noticed that they are pretty tight. Looking at getting a warmer boot with more room, so I have been looking at the Alpha Burly pro, might have to spend the money! Great video thanks for the info!
If you’re a stand hunter get yourself an IWOM suit . I hunt late season muzzleloader in Northern Maine and when I get to my Stand I take my boots off and wear a pair of slippers in my IWOM , -30 sit comfortable all day,
I tried the lacrosse 1600 and my feet froze from the ankle up at 10 above farenheit. If they insulated the rest of the boot with neoprene it would be a great boot. The arctic ice are made with a poor quality rubber I've seen 2 pairs owned by friends that ripped in half at the ankles under a year. The arctic pro is warmest and most durable rubber material I've used. So far 6 years later and they still are in decent shape. However working in 20 below weather they get cold muck and lacrosse need to design a boot like armys bunny vapor barrier boot.
I found the arctic pros at -40 below work nice with 2 pairs of socks on each foot. I wanna find a warmer model than the pros. I like the muck boot style. However I dont know how to tell what the warmest model is without buying every boot online just to see them in person
Had a pair of mucks they were junk. Got holes in em so easily. Had a pair of dryshods since 2019 and my feet would get cold in them things Had a pair of lacrosse boots years ago and my feet never got cold in them. Just ordered another pair myself
I tried on a pair of Lacrosse boots today and it took 5 minutes of the sales person pulling with all there might to help get it off my foot, i thought i would have to cut them off... I wish i could find a boot that will work for me that was 100% waterproof that zipped up so that i could get them on and off.
Sorry for the delayed response….For rubber boots I’ve always found that when in doubt, sizing up is the way to go. It gives you extra room for thick socks or running two pair of necessary.
Some friends have the Arctic Ice boots and they say they are very warm. They also said if you wear heavy socks their feet would sweat and they recommend wearing thinner socks.
I guess it really comes down to whether or not your hands and feet naturally run warm or cold. Once fall hits upstate NY where I live, my fingers and toes don’t get warm again until the following summer. For whatever crazy genetic reason I just can’t keep my extremities from freezing during colder weather and thus need the warmest gear I can lay hands on🥶
Arctic pro mucks are the best boot I’ve owned. I’ve warn them in -38 deg weather and killed a 170”buck. You wearing to heavy of socks with the mucks? They are meant to be warn with a medium sock. La crosse not so much they don’t hold up like mucks or as warm worst boot I’ve owned
Ended up here with cold feet and left with warm intentions. Thank you

I agree with you. I prefer the mucks for temps above 40 and the Lacrosse for below.

Ha! Reading these comments and I live in Northern Maine.

Great boot review👍 Thanks for taking the time to do a video. Happy holidays to you.👊
Thank you for watching! I’m hoping to get more of these out soon.

Lol the struggle is real brother! I have a love/hate relationship with shopping for any cold weather gear for that reason.
Arctic pros are the warmest muck

Yeah, Lacrosse boots are phenom!! However, that’s odd that you got holes in your mucks so easily. Mine have held up well for the last few years.
@@huntfisheatrepeat2373 .22 shell landed on one. Melted right threw the boot. The other one was slit I can only imagine from walking threw the woods
That’s crazy man. Good luck through the rest of the season!

Have you looked at Gun Leaf? They have a zip model. ✌️
I agree that the Lacrosse boots are stupid hard to get off but I suppose that’s one of the trade offs for the amount of insulation they pack in.
If you wear a half size like 10.5, should you size up or down when purchasing?

which boot has the widest toebox/room for toe spreading?
For sure the Lacrosse boots, the mucks are a good deal more form fitting
What part of up state?
Rochester area
@@huntfisheatrepeat2373 no shit? I'm from hornell area. Hunt steuben and Alleghany County alot
No kidding, I’m sure you have some great success there!

How hard are the Burlys to take off?
Sorry for the delayed response. If you roll down the tops of them (like the first 3 inches), they’re not too hard at all.
So this is what happens when an unintelligent “Chad” makes a review video.. 🤡
Heated rechargeable socks dude
Never tried those but will have to give ‘em a go. Thanks for the tip
