  • Jordan Fish was originally bought in to help shift Bring Me The Horizon’s sound, becoming a key member of the band and helping create one of the most important albums in the metal scene, 2013’s Sempiternal.
The fan base was split with Jordan’s arrival, with some loving Bring Me’s new sound while the deathcore gatekeepers wagged their fingers at him for daring to change the MySpace sensations. Love him or hate him, you can’t deny the impact Jordan Fish had on the band, which is why fans were so shocked that at the end of 2023, Bring Me announced they had parted ways with Jordan, leaving fans stunned.
But what does that mean next for Bring Me The Horizon? Well, that's exactly what we are discussing in today's video!

“…with the release of post human nex gen just around the corner”. Bro. My guy. Mate. At this rate it feels like Nex Gen is only releasing once my daughter turns 20… and she’s 1.

Easily their best and some of their most underrated work. Phenomenal riff work, the most tranquil and emotionally powerful clean sections, and the now signature electronic sound properly being introduced. If I didn't know better I'd easily think Jordan would have been part of the band then.

Honestly with all the orchestral elements and how the songs started to get structured better, it feels like Jordan most definitely could have had a hand in that record hahahahaha @@gargudon8720

Never doubted this wouldn't have much of an impact. The talent and signature electronic sound was there before Jordan with There Is A Hell - which is easily their best work in my book - and at the end of the day Oli, Lee, Kean and Nicholls and their brotherhood have always been the real core of the band. They'll only keep getting bigger I have no doubt 😅

Even Jordan himself said in an interview that what he does is "nothing special" he "just" puts together what Oli thinks of.

People Also forget that it was intact Oli who found Jordan and asked him to join the band, because he wanted a new sound. It makes me chuckle, because everyone was constantly b*tchin about Jordan wrecking the band and making them soft(not true). But now, since he left, everyone be like, " oh the band is done for without Jordan,he was everything to the band". Like, make ya minds up😂😂 they helped eachother, Oli taught Jordan how to scream and harsh vocal, and Jordan taught Oli the production side.. I think it's because touring was taking its toll in his family life. And hope they're still friends. Would live him to come bk and help with production here and there. Thanx for this video. Always insightful.❤

Jordan was such an influence to the group and Oli that it changed how they approach music in general, they probably won't be that most without him now, and they seem to bring back a lot of more brutal songs so i'm hyped for that

Conal, you and Shannon have got to react to Amon Amarth as the songs that these fellas have released are based on Nordic mythology/Vikings. I bet that the two of you are going to go wild with headbanging and chanting while listening to the songs like The Way of Vikings, Put Your Back into the Oar, Shield Wall, Heidrun, The Pursuit of Vikings, Twilight of the Thunder God, Fall Through Ginnungagap, Annihilation of Hammerfest, and Guardians of Asgaard.
