Corporate greed and the myth of 'trickle down'.... will cripple not just the working class but the middle class too. Not to mention inflate the 'underclass' unsustainably.
As always, Rachel and the whole team are absolutely on point. Nice to keep informed about things in the UK here in the US from such a smart and hilarious group of people.
I'm glad that Rachel's dismissal of Leah has not been misinterpreted as a race thing, rather than the very clear comment on the character's rambling talkative personality that it is. Also, Rachel is a comedic genius, and I love that she writes her own material. So intelligent. :)
Anyone making that move is being utterly cynical. The representation on the show is just fine as it is (Shappi Khorsandi on Iran for instance). Liberals are gonna have to get used to more and more time being devoted to class politics, as there is no true representation if you're ignoring everyone who's broke!
I'm just trying to work out who's missing a suit: Cilla Black's Blind Date wardrobe circa 1986 or the Cat from Red Dwarf - and now that I've seen it, I'm erring on the latter...
Or instead of strikes that hurt the public who can do nothing about their wages, perhaps they could just ignore the stuff the government wants, like all the unnecessary paperwork?

Jack, you need to check either your facts or your maths (or both). £60,000 is not 3x £38,131 (the UK mean full-time salary in 2021) or 3x £31,285 (the UK median full-time salary in 2021). It's not even double. Granted it's a very good income, but try not to spread misinformation.

Sure but they are on strike in solidarity for the other rail workers making 15-20k who have been told that half of them are going to be fired. The drivers are something like 5% of rail workers. The fact that the only strikers any media is willing to talk about is the train drivers is kind of telling.
That's the point of a union. Stick together and the strong protect the weak. Anybody can sweep a railcarriage but the engines need fully trained drivers.
Thought it would get better after the non-comedian quit, NO still unfunny, just a late-night rant. Russel Howard doing a way better job of the satire than this flogged horse.
Maybe not funny but making a serious point whether you're a nurse or a bin man we all have our worth and its about time we all stood up for each other
Yeah this is not funny and although its a serious point, the poor attempt at humour is actually dumbing down the issues at hand.
But you got clapped regularly ,what more do you want?

Fair enough on the satire, but really, that attempt at a Glaswegian accent is pitiful - just avoid trying. And it's rubbish, not "trash".
