great system, have you had issues with the pipe right above the leaf eater letting some water escape? i noticed on mine the straight cut off peice made the water fall all around the pipe and some misses the leaf eater so i cut a 45 degree angle on the lil peice at the same angle as the eater and left about 2-3 inches so leaves could escape but the water was directed to one side and none was lost

What happens with the leaf eater in the winter time?

I clean mine in the late fall when I winterize and then again in the spring when I set the system back up to receive water again. Other than that I leave them in place.

5:45 .95 nanometer. nano = 1/1,000,000,000. This is a millimeter. milli = 1/1,000. i.e. a tenth of a centimeter. That cracked me up. Good vid, though. Lots of information in a short time with clear pictures. Very respectful of your audience's time and need for information.

3 ft. of 3" pipe gets you a gallon. You are only capturing a bit more than that w/ first flush pipe. 5" pipe will hold a gallon per ft.

is 4" better for large roof or negligible fo 3" pvc.. not for first flush but for piping in general i don't piss around with first flushes

So in a basic sense this is just a little bucket, with a hole and a screen on it, that people pay upwards of a 100$+ for it.
