  • I almost wasn't going to post this video just because how bad it was. I'm hoping the computer is the problem, but who knows. I guess the only way to find out is to just add more power!

    My truck does the same just hold it for a little longer it’ll go

    Torque management? My truck did the same thing and all I did was get a tuner and set it to 0% and it now spins the tires with ease up to 5000rpm.

      +Josh Boyce yeah that's my guess too, I got the tranny retuned by a different tuner because it was shifting way to hard and the first guy wouldn't get it right. Shifts way better now but I can't have any fun with the torque management on😅

      Or just a converter to. Just ordered the yank 3600 for my truck.

      +Josh Boyce I definitely want to swap the gears, but if I change the converter I would maybe only do a 2000 or 2500

    • @joshboyce8143
      @joshboyce8143 7 років тому +2

      But still 2500 rpms instead of 2000k rpms is a big difference coming into your power band and would probably get you much better take off and better burnouts. Anyways clean build and sounds nice👌👌

      It's my daily so I'm iffy on getting a big stall. But thanks I appreciate it, just trying to get it to go fast and be reliable with all the money I don't have😂

    The reason it doesn't roast em immediately is because you need to wait a little longer, the computer limits the torque for about 10-15 seconds and then will give you all your power and you can roast them

    • @JohnVesely
      @JohnVesely  7 років тому

      +LoneStarProductions7 I'll give it a try, I'm saving up for a higher stall torque converter so that will definitely do the trick as well

    Weird my 2012 Silverado ltz burns both tires even on 24 inch rims like nothing

  • @DuramaxSilverado06
    @DuramaxSilverado06 7 років тому +6

    I'm not sure why yours wasn't completely roasting them. My dads stock 2012 sierra 5.3 will burn them all day. And it has a 3.42 rear end

      +DieselGas94 yeah I have no idea, especially how quickly it started the burnout, it should have kept going

      John Vesely It's just the torque management. Traction control won't completely turn off no matter what. Just do not completely remove all of the torque management the truck will shift like shit.

    • @lauraandedgar
      @lauraandedgar 7 років тому

      DieselGas94 remove the abs fuse and it turns the traction completely off. Mine burns out on 33s

    My stock 2011 5.3 will do one, laid down lines earlier, but mine are worn out, hehe.

    I just swapped an 86 Monte Carlo with a 350 , would do burnouts before with previous 350 and did a couple with the new 350 , but won’t do them anymore , engine is timed and runs pretty good , but not sure why it won’t do burnouts anymore , what could it be.

    Wth this is weird, i got a 2006 Silverado with stock tune, just a cold air intake and a muffler and 3.42s. With my old bald tires or with my new meaty tires i can roast em anywhere anytime

    If you undo the fuse abs 2 it will it shut off traction control, and stabilitrack. When you shut them off in the truck with the button they kick back on.

      You can just hold the traction control for a minute and it takes both those off

      Moms phone lol but yea get a better torque converter that'll help alot like a 2600 stall or 3200 stall depending on the setup you got -- and I'm 15 and do burnout in My dad's truck when he not home. 🤣 no bs follow me on ig. htx.damian15

    Take out the #9 fuse and u be good to go, Your ganna have the abs light and traction control light on but that will definitely work for a burnout

    My truck used to do them easily. One wheel peel but easily. But now it wont do it unless i throw water or something.

    You have to let it go longer line lock to is a good option won’t eat up the brakes

    GQ1 -- AXLE REAR, STD RATIO
    GT4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.73 RATIO
    GT5 -- AXLE REAR, 4.10 RATIO
    GU4 -- AXLE REAR, 3.08 RATIO
    GU5 -- AXLE REAR, 3.23 RATIO
    GU6 -- AXLE REAR, 3.42 RATIO
    G80 -- AXLE REAR, HD locking differential
    Check the inner part of your glove box and look for these codes, it'll tell you your gear ratio.. I have 3.73 and it does a slight burn out but I have big tires also. I've heard doing a 4:10 swap does the trick as well but if yours is 4wd you're gonna spend double

    • @JohnVesely
      @JohnVesely  7 років тому

      +5.3 Chevay yeah, I'm just going to go with a bigger stall, that should do the trick. I'm not too worried about it, I'd rather have traction than burning tires all day.

    • @6.6chevay13
      @6.6chevay13 7 років тому

      John Vesely that's true, but if you ever consider new tires... cheap and good I believe are the nitto 420's

    • @JohnVesely
      @JohnVesely  7 років тому

      +5.3 Chevay yeah for the price those are the best, but first I need to get 20 in wheels. They don't carry them in the size I want for the 18s

    • @6.6chevay13

      John Vesely i ordered a set of brute reapers they'll be in tomorrow I'm debating the 420's or some aturro mts

    I’ve never tried a burnout in in my truck. Buy you a old Camaro or mustang to do burn outs

    • @dominikmartinez4748
      @dominikmartinez4748 4 роки тому

      Yo dude i know this comment is old but if you haven't figured it out you have to hold traction control button until it says stability control off put the car or truck on 1 speed and give it gas until the it reaches about 4500 too 5000 rpm then manually shit up to 2 speed i own a automatic truck that has the option to drive manually most cars do so if your does if have this all of this doesn't apply to your car👍👍

    I have a cam and stall with 4.56 and it does this bs. It has to be in the computer. Mine gets to 3000rmp and 30mph and just stays there.
