Yay! I've been hoping you'd review the Patagonia DAS Light and compare it with Arc's Nuclei Hoody. Thank you! I'm hoping you're able to review the Patagonia DAS Parka sometime soon. That jacket really intrigues me.
In regards to fit and "roominess," the new iteration of the Nuclei axed the FL "fitted" cut and is now offered in the "regular" cut, likely increasing the interior volume or "roominess" a bit more vs. your previous generation FL's fitted cut.
The DAS light is a great jacket and I understand why they don't have a bottom draw cord I sincerely get it, but I'm not on the ropes 90 + % of the time, in fact only 10% of the time if that, so that being said because of no bottom draw cord lol 'wind resistant' isn't doing much good when the bottom is WIDE open and lets all the wind in and there's no adjustment for that. Up here in AK that's not happening for me, so I sent the jacket back and bought the Arcteryx Nuclei (and it's perfect!) otherwise great jacket for sure.
@@meandmyjackets Yeah they did real good on that one all the way around. Speaking of which, what would you say is warmer the Nuclei or Patagonia's Micro Puff? Or are they about the same in warmth? Reason I'm asking is I've had my eye on the Micro Puff and it seams like this year they revised it a lil bit, looks good! But if there about the same then I'm kinda wasting money... You know what I mean, anyway thanks! And keep up the great channel you're sincerely helping a lot of people make a wise decision money wise on their pricey purchases - when at the moment money is tight and things are financially hard for most people. Peace
@@toothnail605 I have not seen the revised edition, but personally I prefer the nuclei. I am convinced that the nuclei is also more windproof. I did a video a while back comparing 8 different insulated jackets, and I rated them in terms of warmth.
I have not actually packed them, but the Nuclei is very light, and has it's own stuff sack in the pocket. The Das is light too, but I think that the Nuclei would pack just a bit better.

I'll try. 🙂

Good review
Thank you, I hope that it helped you.
How packable are these two in practice? Do you find it more of a hassle to pack up one than the other?

Thanks sir!!
