Why i think pewddiepie is famous... 1. Good appearance with a bright & smart personality.. and he has the balls to show his face to the internet (public) (lots of people dont have the ability to do so or they are scared of showing their face on the internet) 2. He has a natural talent for commentating.. he can make quick jokes on the spot and bring up references you may know of and it makes the video even more entertaining.. (you have to add spice to your commentary it cant be just be a monologue of speech otherwise you'll put your viewers to sleep.. or they just wont watch..) 3. He started off playing indie/scary horror games at first and he reacted to them from the jumpscares etc.. (Personally i cant handle horror games myself, but if i watch someone else playing.. it makes it enjoyable..? also his reactions to the jumpscares are hilarious thats what made his channel grow from playing Amnesia/scary games) 4. Having diversity in gameplay.. he started to branch to other non horror games such as Shadow of the Colossus, Journey, Kingdom hearts etc.. it was even more entertaining to watch.. (I like watching someone scream as they get a jumpscare.. but sometimes things can be repeatative.. so im glad he branched his channel to other non horror games like Happy Wheels and Alice the madness returns.. it makes his channel have variety rather than just 1 single game) 5. His viewers are mainly targeted to online gamer's and young people.. (more specifically 12 - 35+ year olds..) 6. He has good video editing skills and photoshop skills.. (yes majority of people have the same exact skills however not everyone can have the same skills.. i tried using Adobe Premiere video editing software before.. and it takes some effort to understand the buttons and controls of the system.. i do have a basic idea of photoshop but im not experianced like Pewds also he stated that prior to youtube he was selling artwork that was made via photoshop..) 7. I do agree his commentary right now is up in the air.. im not saying his bad but he isnt good either.. sometimes iv noticed he can say derogatory terms or be racist or make criticism towards someone.. but bear in mind i think he is just trying to act/be funny in his own way.. sometimes this does annoy me but his videos do end up making me laugh to some degree.. Some people may hate or dislike pewdiepie because they dont think he has skill/talent and he is just an eyesore or that your jealous of his fame or how much income he receives.. however people get to where they want to be because he put in terms called ... Effort & Time.. it takes him nearly an entire day just to record, make and edit content for a video on a regular basis for his subs and he at least tries.. to make his videos worth your time.. Over-all i think pewds deserves to be in the spotlight (for now).. look in time someone else will take his place.. he isnt going to remain on youtube forever you know.. everyone gets a piece of fame now and then.. like for an example.. Justin Bieber only became a super star through youtube and now his a pop sensation... everyone gets somewhere if they try and show that they have a talent.. as for Pewdiepie i think its based on his commentary.. he knows when and how to make jokes and when to take action.. iv tried to commentate before and it isnt simple and easy as you think.. you need a good voice a proper attitude and know when to speak and how to speak it.. Pewds has all these factors hence why he is good at commentating videos and makes it really enjoyable to watch. Also i am a gamer myself so we both share something in-common, if you have something in-common your bound to like them.

Hljómur Ívarsson If by TV swedish you mean stockholm dialect, they really pronounce the R's so you can hear them and they sound a bit 'cleaner' when they speak, I think someone from stockholm could make himself more clear to a beginner learning swedish than someone from the south would, and the Göteborg dialect is so distinguishable as a Swede, I think it's the way they pronounce the L's that is so different from the rest of the country.

I have to say I was a bit surprised by how he talks! I'd say at this point he speaks English more clearly than Swedish.
It happens, im my case although spanish is my mother tongue i can express myself easier in English

Why i think pewddiepie is famous...
1. Good appearance with a bright & smart personality.. and he has the balls to show his face to the internet (public)
(lots of people dont have the ability to do so or they are scared of showing their face on the internet)
2. He has a natural talent for commentating..
he can make quick jokes on the spot and bring up references you may know of and it makes the video even more entertaining.. (you have to add spice to your commentary it cant be just be a monologue of speech otherwise you'll put your viewers to sleep.. or they just wont watch..)
3. He started off playing indie/scary horror games at first and he reacted to them from the jumpscares etc..
(Personally i cant handle horror games myself, but if i watch someone else playing.. it makes it enjoyable..?
also his reactions to the jumpscares are hilarious thats what made his channel grow from playing Amnesia/scary games)
4. Having diversity in gameplay.. he started to branch to other non horror games such as Shadow of the Colossus, Journey, Kingdom hearts etc.. it was even more entertaining to watch..
(I like watching someone scream as they get a jumpscare.. but sometimes things can be repeatative.. so im glad he branched his channel to other non horror games like Happy Wheels and Alice the madness returns.. it makes his channel have variety rather than just 1 single game)
5. His viewers are mainly targeted to online gamer's and young people..
(more specifically 12 - 35+ year olds..)
6. He has good video editing skills and photoshop skills..
(yes majority of people have the same exact skills however not everyone can have the same skills..
i tried using Adobe Premiere video editing software before.. and it takes some effort to understand the buttons and controls of the system.. i do have a basic idea of photoshop but im not experianced like Pewds also he stated that prior to youtube he was selling artwork that was made via photoshop..)
7. I do agree his commentary right now is up in the air..
im not saying his bad but he isnt good either.. sometimes iv noticed he can say derogatory terms or be racist or make criticism towards someone.. but bear in mind i think he is just trying to act/be funny in his own way.. sometimes this does annoy me but his videos do end up making me laugh to some degree..
Some people may hate or dislike pewdiepie because they dont think he has skill/talent and he is just an eyesore or that your jealous of his fame or how much income he receives.. however people get to where they want to be because he put in terms called ... Effort & Time.. it takes him nearly an entire day just to record, make and edit content for a video on a regular basis for his subs and he at least tries.. to make his videos worth your time..
Over-all i think pewds deserves to be in the spotlight (for now)..
look in time someone else will take his place.. he isnt going to remain on youtube forever you know..
everyone gets a piece of fame now and then.. like for an example.. Justin Bieber only became a super star through youtube and now his a pop sensation... everyone gets somewhere if they try and show that they have a talent..
as for Pewdiepie i think its based on his commentary.. he knows when and how to make jokes and when to take action..
iv tried to commentate before and it isnt simple and easy as you think.. you need a good voice a proper attitude and know when to speak and how to speak it.. Pewds has all these factors hence why he is good at commentating videos and makes it really enjoyable to watch. Also i am a gamer myself so we both share something in-common, if you have something in-common your bound to like them.

as an example.. If i happened to be a big youtube star (highly doubt) i would be the same as cry and hide behind an icon/avatar because i want my personal self/life to be hidden from public and my fans.

What we usually see on the internet is a bunch of people that are unoriginal. People that try to act like what is considered the average person from some group... or maybe they are just too normal, you know... or try hard to look different without managing to be different, only achieving to be a caricature of a 'try hard' boring normal person trying to look incredible.

I'm only part Swedish on my mom's side. My great grandmother is the only one who knows how to speak Swedish. I kind of found it to be pretty disgraceful that nobody else in my mom's family knows it or wanted to learn it. I'm currently learning Swedish and studying about the culture and history. Kind of want to bring it back and not let the Swedish blood and heritage die out.

Well, English is a mash-up between some different language families, partly from the Danish/Germanic family - which Swedish comes from as well. So there are some similarities here and there. But not only are they similar in that way, Sweden has also borrowed some English phrases abt the part 100 years, since it’s become a more and more modern country and English is really important in today’s society. As a Swede myself, I experience that we mix a lot of English into Swedish in our everyday life, it’s just the way it is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeaa same. I study Norwegian as my 2nd language at uni (3rd language I am fluent in) and I came here to see how much Swedish resembles it. It's so weird for my smol brain cause they are pretty much the same but Swedish seems to flow easier. Norwegian is like a sea with little waves and Swedish like a stream

Hljómur Ívarsson If by TV swedish you mean stockholm dialect, they really pronounce the R's so you can hear them and they sound a bit 'cleaner' when they speak, I think someone from stockholm could make himself more clear to a beginner learning swedish than someone from the south would, and the Göteborg dialect is so distinguishable as a Swede, I think it's the way they pronounce the L's that is so different from the rest of the country.

Well it’s a tradition, it’s called midsummer ”midsommar” in swedish. We celebrate it in the middle of the summer. I have no idea why but we also sing ”små grodorna” and jump around a pole filled with leafs and flowers.
