Thank you so Much! Really good video!! Big applaus from Belgium.
Thanks!
At least, I’m not native speaker of English, your explanation is very clear and according your movements. Thanks… you’ll save me all the complications with technical and privacy. If I got installed and works I’ll send you for a cup of coffee for sure.
Hope the repair goes well. Glad you're able to follow along. Thanks!

Just ordered a battery so will give it a try next week! Your video looks like it covers all the little things that could go bad. Thanks for sharing!!!
Just be careful not to puncture the battery. Had a few people say they damaged it and it burned the laptop.
Awesome! 👏👏👏
It help me a lot!!!!! 💯

Hey mate! How are you doing? Thanks for the video! My macbook has fallen months back, everything was fine. After I got an update, my touchbar doesn't show up. There's neither light or touch sensor working. What could be possible reason behind that?
Thanks in advance.
Not really sure, but if it happened after an update, not sure what you could do to fix it.
Amazing video... all detailed and careful tips!!! I was successful replacing my MACBOOK pro 2017 battery!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Would a drop of WD-40 help remove the adhesive? I would skip the scrapping and just new battery on top of it. The old adhesive looks very thin to me.
The new adhesive won't stick to the foam layer. Wd-40 might work, but I wouldn't use it. It leaves too much residue.
What is the washer arrangement on the trackpad? How many washers on which posts? This unit has NONE!
Circles on single posts, rectangles on double posts
where did you get the new battery from

Thanks for this excellent video tutorial. The camera work, zooming, and detailed instructions seem to be VERY complete and thorough. I bought a used 2017 A1708 MacBook pro with over 900 cycles that is not holding a charge for more than a couple of hours, so your video should help this amateur immensely. I wonder if you have any preferences or recommendations for a battery vendor/brand that you consider to be reliable and a good buy? Thanks again.
Glad you like the video. I don't have a specific preferred brand for this model battery, but this should be good with 1 year warranty. amzn.to/337LPDp and good reviews.

I pinned it in a comment now
Hi I’m using this video to help remove my battery because there was some water that seemed to have gotten in my laptop. And so my screen has splotches. The water indicator is sadly red so do you think in the future that’ll mess something up
It depends where the water got to.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I did the upside down dry technique for two days and I checked it today but there’s still water in my screen. The same amount too. It didn’t get through the back vents because I saw the excess water in the in between where the keyboard and screen would be. Everything worked fine but I know it’s not smart to keep that water there. Do you have any advice?
If it's just water and trapped in the screen, it'll take a few weeks
@@ItsBinhRepaired for clarification I can’t use it at all while that’s going on correct?
@@valeriegonzalez3373 if the liquid is only in the screen, it should be ok to use unless the liquid is in the lower part. If you want to be safe, give it at least a week before turning it on.
Post replacement, laptop sometimes starts, gets battery with X. What next? How to diagnose?
Sounds like the ribbon cable or metal tab isn't lined up properly.
Followed the steps and the new battery works fine and everything else except the keyboard. The power button seems to be the only working key, what should I do?
Double check the trackpad and the trackpad connection
@@ItsBinhRepaired I replaced the trackpad cable with a new one but keyboard is still not working
@@MutantSwine might be the trackpad itself
@@ItsBinhRepaired I will try to clean the underneath of the trackpad and then reinstall before I consider buying a new trackpad, what's the safest cleaning solution to use in this situation?
also if a new trackpad doesn't fix it, what else could be the cause? thanks
Not sure what else it could be. I just use a dry toothbrush.
where to buy the battery?

Hi mate, the video is so good! Where did you buy the battery? Do you have a referral link or something? Thanks
This one has 1 year warranty amzn.to/3cUiqOr
@@ItsBinhRepaired Many thanks for the quick reply but it's not available for Spain :( Do you have anything for Spain? Thanks dude
@@Vanderhart if you have Amazon in Spain, search a1713
Is it not the same battery regardless if it has a touchbar or not?
Depends on the model of the MacBook
@@ItsBinhRepaired Thanks for a quick reply :). Asking as I’m looking to get the battery replaced and the guy at the shop said he could give me an original battery with only a few cycles taken from a faulty non touchbar (mine is with touchbar). Both are from mid 2017 however they obviously have different model numbers due to the touch vs non touch. Just trying to find the info before saying yes to this as don’t want to install a non compatible battery..
I mean, if they mess it up, they owe you a new computer. Lol
@@ItsBinhRepaired lol, yeh you got a point there..

Why remove the trackpad?
Should be obvious when watching the video.
If you don't you'll likely damage it
You can attempt to replace the battery without removing it. Worst case you watch the video on how to remove it and replace that as well. Lol
DO YOU NEED TO PUT THE BACK ON FOR IT TO START?
What are diagnostics when doesn't start?
Why put screws on if you don't know it will start?
Consider all failure modes and branches, speak to those.
? I have a lot of videos of the same model. You can watch one of the newer ones.

What's bad?
At least wear non-static gloves.
I keep myself grounded to metal all around me lol
Folks.. Always buy apple genuine batteries!!
The only way you can get genuine apple batteries is by having apple do the replacement...
@@ItsBinhRepairedor buy one from the same manufacturer Apple used. I forget the name but I got one.
