Thank you 🙏, am working on it right now. Last step: putting the new battery in! ❤
Thank you for the video! I liked that you used timer to show exact time it took!
I appreciate you posting this video. I helped me swap out my a1708 battery with ease :)
Very nice video. Question: did you remove the trackpad in order to protect it from the adhesive remover liquid? Suggestion: I'm even more OCD than you, but I would have used a single-edged razor blade to remove the adhesive strips, and then cleaned the surface with some of the adhesive remover.
Great guide, did mine in about 40 min. Working the adhesive off the battery took the longest. Thanks!
Glad it helped
Many many thanks, you helped me a lot with this video! Everything works!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the video! It helped me a lot. Keep the good work 👌
Thank you for an amazing video!
Thanks very much.. I just saved so much by replacing the battery under your guidance.
Thanks this amazing video helped me a lot ❤
Very helpful video. Thankyou for that. Do you have any idea how to recalibrate the battery so the system knows to do whatever it has to do? Or is this all just an automatic process
Ifixit, who i buy most of my batteries from, recommend the following. Charge new battery to 100% and keep charging it for at least 2 hours. Then use your laptop until the battery runs out. Finally charge it uninterrupted to 100%.
Good job
Thank you
The best so far
hello! do you have a link for the battery you used? i have a 2017 macbook pro 13” that needs its battery replaced.
Due to their good customer service I prefer spending a little bit more buying from ifixit.com . This is the link to the euro store. store.ifixit.fr/products/macbook-pro-13-retina-function-keys-late-2016-2017-battery?variant=31702781657139
I done all that thank you, but the keypad won’t select it moves the mouse arrow but won’t select and seems very solid no flex, any ideas exact same model.
Make sure the touchpad cable that goes over battery is properly connected and not damaged when it was removed. It's easy to do. Like the touchid on iphone 7s and up. the touchpad no longer moves. it registers a "click" by returning a taptic "click" making you think you pushed down.
I am trying to get information on how long the replacement battery lasts on a single charge to determine when I should replace my battery.
In my experience replacement (Ifixit) lithium ion batteries last between 2-3 years
@@150daysofwinter I meant how many hours the new replacement battery lasts on a single charge as compared to the original apple battery when the laptop was new.
For example I get about 3 hours of performance out of my current battery... if I can boost that to 6 hours, I will replace the battery now. But if I am only going to get 4 hours hours out of the replacement, I will wait until the original battery has more cycles on it before I replace it. (The current capacity of the original battery is 70%)

System Apple Inc. MacBookPro13,1
Technology Lithium ion
Nominal capacity 54.7 Wh
Actual capacity 39.41 Wh
Capacity percentage 70%
I changed mind but it won’t charge, the battery icon won’t come and the laptop only comes on when it’s plug on charge 😮 please help.
Make sure the battery connector is properly seated. I’ve seen times when the screw is not properly aligned and so not properly connected
BEWARE! When putting back the ZIF connectors you MUST NOT allow the ribbon to touch the components beneath, otherwise a reaction will occur and you will fry these pieces. Like I did. Just now 😖
Batteries and Power Supplies, the weak points of computers.
so shaky lol
If I can do it shaky you should have no problem with a steady hand
@@150daysofwinter Mad respect to you, me even steady hand always make mistake, you do it smoothly
