Seeing how “random” steakhouses across America compare to nycs best and most famous is going to be super entertaining. Love the new format. Don’t sleep on Jersey there’s a ton
Happy to hear! We’re going to revisit a few of our older reviews like Keens now that we’ve been on a roll with these and rescore them. Ohhhh what did you have in mind? We’ve been to River Palm but that might be it
I gotta say, I have been an sub since the beginning. You both have excelled in your format. Yeah the food is what y'all do, but the style and charisma in which you do it is phenomenal. Kristins review and passion is just so honest and truthful, I'd say the best I've viewed on the net. Will, down to earth and skeptical, then, yay or nay up or down. Bravo, you guys are "way forks up". May you both be well and healthy....
So glad you’re still enjoying our videos! Hopefully we just keep getting better. At the moment we’re having a hard time deciding on what the future of the channel will look like and what kind of videos we should make so positive feedback means a lot!
Dave nailed it here. I love watching the channel because of what Dave said. I think I hopped here from James Andrews channel where u guys left a comment. I Love James, Tim Lee, Walk with Fa, Explore Vegas, UA eats and Gary Eats.
Thanks for visiting Kress in downtown Orlando! We live just a mile,or so from there, and it’s great that you reviewed a restaurant that most visitors have no idea about. There are several more great local steakhouses in our little burg. A great resource for our town is Scott Joseph’s Restaurant Guide. I hope you have the opportunity to try more local spots!
🗣️Wow!! For me it’s priceless to see you visiting downtown Orlando, hope you guys enjoy 💝🤩 Thank you so much for making a list of your favorites. Between now and December, I’ll be visiting the first 5 🥩🦐 🥗🍷✅
Wow!! Downtown Orlando doesn’t get enough love. We want to come back and do a full food tour someday soon. That would be crazy! If you do you’ll have to let us know how you’d rank them. It’s so hard giving them a rating after just one visit and only ordering the little bit we get to try!
Great idea with the ratings 👍The Kres chophouse looked good without being outstanding so your ratings system seems to work, really good review as always. Mucho love from England 🏴
Wow that's a very creative menu for a steakhouse! I like the improvement to your steakhouse video with the ratings system. Maybe you can start doing an annual 'best of' or ranking of all the steakhouses you've been to. I love all your videos. As I've said before, the two of you look like perfect dinner companions - I wish I could join you!
For sure! Thanks we’re still not sure how we feel about it but figured we’d try it out to see what people thought. Yeah that’s a good idea! Haha thanks!
Great vid as always. That looks like a very well thought out scoring system that each of us could modify based upon our own priorities. Personally, I would probably give the steak/entree category 60-70%; other foods something like 10-20%; and the other four categories I would probably assign 5% each. Bon appetit!
Another awesome video loved it. What do you guys do for work? I'm going to guess Kristin is a designer of sorts she always has insightful comments on the setting 😂
i have lived in orlando for 11 yrs and have yet to try this place, but will certainly do so now. if you ever come back to orlando, you MUST try nona blue modern tavern. literally everything on their menu is a home run.
@@travelfuller They have allowed others to bring cameras, maybe just let them know you will only record your faces and reactions, only? BTW, I double dare you to go, 🧐
Just an fyi in Canada steakhouses usually open for dinner only, so no lunch specials. I have noticed restaurant steak prices have really increased here in Canada. Considering the exchange rate there are deals to be had here, especially in comparison to NYC. Btw if you come to Toronto there is a new concept large scale steakhouse called BLACK & BLUE that might be worth a try. I have been to a lot of the older classics, but not this one.
@@travelfuller I wish you had reached out to me. I offered to give you tips on Toronto and Montreal, but maybe you forgot. I am so eager to see your content on both cities.
@@skatingcanuck9837 We've been trying to post in the community tab to get recommendations for upcoming trips but I don't think a lot of our subs are seeing them! Hopefully we covered a few good spots but its close enough to home and we are willing to travel for food
Steak = 50, other food = 30, the rest can split the other 20. Food needs to be > 60% of a total score. Also, I love dipping mashed potatoes in béarnaise sauce. Last thing - if you come to Phoenix, go to Steak 44
I can definitely see that. I know its a little annoying for our previous videos where we didn't break it down by category, but for our reviews going forward, I think people can weigh the scores however they see fit! We just tried swapping ten points from Service and adding it to Steak and the only major change was Bugsy & Meyers which went up a few spots. And thanks for the recommendation!
I agree with your rating and am frankly surprised that people think Kres is the best steak in Orlando. I'd put it as possibly third but it's not as good as either Capa or Bull and Bear. Bull and Bear is my favorite and I'll usually go there or over to Berns.
Wow that is a complicated rating system. I don't know why so many people asked for it considering it is so very subjective. For example if you are meeting a friend for lunch you would be far less focused on ambiance than for an anniversary dinner. To me a steakhouse meal is a real splurge, so quality rules for me. If the person is only focused on value I think they should just cook one at home.
Haha agreed. The best option really just depends on what someone values the most. Our videos have always been meant as a way to showcase the whole experience so people can decide on places that appeal the most to them. But we get so many comments asking for rankings! We’re curious to see what those people will think of this one and then we’ll decide on whether we want to keep doing it or not
@@travelfuller I personally don't like the rating system because it is too subjective, can alienate the restaurant, and also some subscribers might be lazy and fast forward to the end. They might decide not to visit the restaurant based on one number alone. Lastly there are a lot of vloggers who really know nothing about food, certain dishes, certain cuisines, and do zero research, yet have a following. 😒
This building is a historical landmark, dates back to the 20’s, used to be a warehouse / store. As far as steakhouses there is this place and Linda’s in Orlando
@ when you finally go definitely get the Caesar salad and the porterhouse. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Only thing competitive is Berns out in Tampa imo.

Go to Bern's in Tampa, it's always in the top 10 in the country for a good reason!
We have reservations for Berns coming up but unfortunately they don’t allow cameras so I’m not too sure how we’ll make a video!
My wife and I have been to Kres a couple of times. She’s vegan and I’m not so we both get delicious food without a compromise.
That's amazing! It's awesome they are so accommodating and focus on having great food that isn't just steak
I love the new rating system. Catching up on all the videos. You guys got to do House of Prime Rib in SF.
Haha we're getting conflicting feedback about the rating system but that's definitely on our list next time we're in SF!
Thank you all for coming to Orlando. Most people don’t realize we are a foodie city.

Kres is ok but it's not the best in Orlando. As a life long Central Florida resident I can think of a number of better places.

its wagyu not wagoo, and its American "wagyu" at that not even true actual wagyu. "wagyu" is that new buzz words restaurants love to abuse these days.
