LAPD is running the 509 for their duty gun. I got an unbelievable deal for the 509C Tactical brand new for $599. B/W it and my FNX 45 Tactical, I'm a FN fan

@@Division_Agent_ and the absolute stupidity of their gun roster…for example they can own a Gen 3 Glock b/c it’s “safe” but a Gen 5 is dangerous. They both shoot the same caliber and are the same gun with a few minor changes….they constantly accuse conservatives as being a threat to democracy when all of their policies and behaviors threaten your freedoms
Yo... I just spent like 5 minutes explaining the spring and other stuff but it didn't post the comment for some reason lol🤦🏽♂ Long story short the Silver 24lb spring was originally designed to fire 30k rounds of pure NATO spec (+P) ammo for the MHS trials. They found the Silver spring could cause problems when suppressed using lighter powered loads, or in adverse conditions like in MACs torture test. They started supplying 509T's with both and switched the standard spring out on all models to the 17lb Yellow spring, which is the industry standard weight. I guess they realized Civilians don't shoot purely +P so they stopped including it all together with the Tac models. You can still buy the Silver spring from MidwestGunWorks for just a few bucks. Ive had my 509T for about 3 years now and never had a malfunction over 2k+ rounds, I hope you enjoy yours man! Absolutely loved the review too, instant sub.

Mice came with a silver spring already installed and yellow spring in a baggie with a info card. The yellow spring was giving me multiple malfunctions mostly all failure to eject(stove pipe). I don't think they canceled the inclusion of both of the springs because there are some troubleshooting especially if you use a compensator or different loads of ammunition. Girlfriend and I is picking up hers, brand new Tuesday hopefully Monday next week 🤞🏼

Nice firearm. The color of this pistol is in FDE, or flat dark earth. I would suggest ditching the vortex. It's a budget sight, get at least holosun 507 or a trijicon. You paid a good premium for that firearm so that vortex is not a good match imo. I hope you release another video with your first shot impressions.

If your optic was mounted wrong before your purchase and it messed up your threads, you should have sent it back to FNH and they would have replaced the slide for free. When I got my FN 509 Tactical, my rear sight tritium was defective, I sent it in and got it back within a week. When they replaced the rear sight, they zeroed it too and the sights were spot on. Luckily I got my FN when they had the 3 free 24 round magazine promotion. I did have to buy the silver spring from Midwest Ghunn Works just because I wanted it but I haven’t had any use for it. I’m glad I didn’t buy mine with the vortex optic because I’ve heard too many bad reviews on their pistol optics; I put a Holosun 507C ACSS Vulcan green reticle on mine and I use a Streamlight TLR-8AG. I also put a Parker Mountain Machine dual port ultra compensator on mine with their enhanced mag well too. It’s currently my everyday carry in a custom appendix inside the waistband holster.
