I snagged a 4840 three years ago for $14,500. Fixed the A/C. Put a case IH seat in it. I absolutely love it.

That's exactly what I thought. We have a 4 furrow on a MF 285

Morgemuffel91 Its all about depth, furrow width, soil conditions etc. It might be a 4 furrow 10" plough and only going about 5-6" deep.
