Been using an iPad Pro 12 as my main on the go productivity device/laptop. While at my home studio I use the m1 Mac mini. Honestly love this combination and love how apple is making MacOS and iPad OS more cohesive with the coming updates. Have no real need or want for a MacBook anymore with how powerful and capable iPads are now.
Your videos are so calm and genuine, a real pleasure to watch. I'm constantly surprised that you don't have more subscribers. Thanks for all the hard work on these videos!
I love watching your videos, but I adore your cat! 😂 Maybe you should make a video how you manage to be productive with a cat around, because mine never was as calm as yours. :)
Thanks for the bit in not forcing the device to do things it’s not great at. In a bid to make it a full laptop replacement we may miss out on using it for what it’s actually great at,
As someone who used a windows laptop with an iPad for years, including the earlier years of my undergrad degree since 2019… everything on your windows computer has an app on your iPad. Continue to prioritise those, rather than starting to rely on apple apps. Only use apple notes if there’s stuff you don’t need to sync to your windows computer. Do sync Apple photos to Google photos via your iPad (or OneDrive or both) so that you can work on any screen shots or videos from your iPad, synced to google photos (or OneDrive) on your computer. And I still prefer OneNote over Goodnotes… and pair OneNote and Notion as a powerful pair for Uni studies.
I wasn’t actually a fan of it for a good while but I do like it a lot now, I think you can get 90% of the experience for a lot cheaper with a Logitech keyboard. However it is the best keyboard out there for it no doubt
One thing about Universal Control that irritates me… On a Mac, I get out of an app by CMD-Q. On the iPad, I have to use CMD-H. (Which takes a moment to remember.) Really wish Apple would let me map CMD-Q on the iPad so it'll drop me to the Home Screen.

That text replacement hack has been so helpful since you intro’d it a couple months ago. Thanks again for highlighting it and more productivity tips!
Hi Tom, can you share your shortcuts that you use for change the home screen of your iPad please?
this, replying in case they respond

I have a UA-cam short that's ready to go all about him, if that's something people want to see? 😺
I would love a video like that! (Especially as a cat owner myself)😂
I miss using my Mac mini with my iPad
I group all my hashtags for Instagram using the text replacement, before I found this shortcut I used to copy & paste them from apple notes.
That’s a great idea! I often screenshot then then use the smart detect to copy them from the screenshot haha
Could you please share the link of that shortcut with us!?
Thank you very much for your VDO and good technique.
I love your keycaps , What are they called ?
It’s a MELGEEK board - the Mojo 68
Hi, loved the video but I can’t wrap my mind around how to create different Home Screens or workspaces, how do you do it?
✅ Yep! goodNotes is super!
🌿 Super job!
how did you make that widget that can toggle between different home screens? The one at 3:48
Great videos - I’ve maximized the use of my iPad through your channel!
Interesting your comment about Lumafusion. Do you mind sharing what it is you dislike about it with iPad?
I think it’s a great app it’s just not as robust as premiere pro or final cut and I edit video everyday!
This is excellent! Wish I still had my 12.9” pro but most of these tips still help with being productive on my mini!

Yep, I think a lot of people miss this so it was an important one to mention!
Wonderful video !!! I can see myself using Tip #2 & #3 quite often and also would recommend this video to my friend who are new iPad users. 🍙
Awesome! Thank you!
What keyboard is that? 0:45
amazing videos thank you, can you recommend a youtuber who is using the ipad with a windows computer?

Ayyy thanks for stopping by, Leo!
Very bummed stage manager isn't coming to non-M1 iPads
Hey mate can I use the Ugreen to charge my MacBook Pro m1 pro at 120W?
would anyone happen to know if there is a wireless typewriter keyboard that also lights up?
Is there a way to just import shortcuts directly from someone else’s iPad ? If so how to do it ?
Yep, but they have to share it with you
Love the font you use, what is it?
Stunning isn’t it?! It’s called Made Dillan
I love your keyboard can you tell me where did you buy it...
Added to the description!
Love your cat
Hi Tom, which Ipad are you using in the video?
iPad Pro M1 for the desk setup & iPad Air 2022 for everything else
Great video mate really useful thank you 😃
No problem 👍
We need a real Solidworks App on the ipad. Would be legendary
Is Magic Keyboard worth it?

@@ByteReview I have Logi Folio Touch, used it for a year. It’s broken so I would like Magic Keyboard. I can get it for cheaper than RRP.

What is the app you are using at 1:12 ? Could you please tell?
Great video!

Can you share that LoFi Girl shortcut?
Added to description! Thanks for the reminder 😅
Thanks - but can’t get it to play. Opens You Tube then shuts it down and goes to home screen as per the shortcut - how do I get it to play?
