How is a 20 year old dude making 10k in a day just talking nonsense? I remember thinking a decade ago that it's totally bonkers that pewdiepie became a millionaire, and he was like the biggest e-celeb at the time
On a scale of the world most people don't. If you were a business and saw how they were distributing your ads you paid for you would be PISSED! People just spamming them to bot accounts of the same 100 viewers everyday every 30 minutes. What business would willingly pay for that service?

That’s fucking 730k a year at 2k a day…..kids making as much as an extremely successful brain surgeon with 12 years of extra education…. So out of touch it’s insane
Even further, the surgeon still has an incredibly stressful job and there's tremendous responsibility each and every day with long hours. Surgeons probably hate taking vacation time too because it's bad for patients and adds to their workload. Imagine a patient dying because the surgeon wanted to eat shaved ice in Honolulu
There was leaked data from Twitch a few years ago where it stated how much the streamers made, and 713k a year is nothing what the big streamers earned at the time. edit: I found the claimed list, the top-incommers at the time was CriticalRole wh in 26months made $9,626,712.16 from twitch, which is around $11k a day.

Families should take note , I should probably release how I managed to do it and the plebs erm sorry sorry I need to stop saying plebs I actually mean the great unwashed could learn a few things about budget and cooking for 2 with a terrible budget, you get used to it after a few days and employing Jamie oliver for 3k a night was good for him coz I think he's only worth about 200 mill but I could be off , I hope I haven't offended him
This is why I hate majority of streamers who are completely out of touch with reality. I work a physically demanding job and I am fortunate that I am able to make $800 a week, but then when I hear streamers who complain when they make thousands of dollars a DAY by just playing video games for a living, just stop. You should be grateful you are able to make a living by playing video games compared to everyone else who is struggling in America and rest of the world.
exactly, I stream games myself but won't ever say it's the hardest job like other streamers. working a physical demanding job is hard for some. People today don't understand the word grateful as they always want more vs what they have at the moment.
It's more than just playing video games for a living. You guys don't seem to understand physical labour isn't the only taxing work. Mental taxation is a big thing in streaming and arguably worse than physical taxation . You got to talk to people, interact, be entertaining, be engaging and being fun to watch. You got to do this everyday just to keep a couple hundred people if your lucky. Most streamers don't get this many people. You have no idea what your on about. I hate people who think psychical labour is the only tough job and only important job. It's so ignorant and stupid and it's in purpose m you chose not to think about this for a second and I hate people who choose to be ignorant, they Shane not just their country but ancestors. Grats being a Shane on the human race thinking only physical labour though
The fact Hasan perfectly aligns with Twitch to the point the whole fucking office loves him and sends him happy birthday videos should tell you all you need to know about this situation.

Streamers can get this money because they basically won the lotto plus some effort they put in. Majority of streamers try and fail the popularity contest of massive clout recognition. Successful streamers have the motivation for perseverance gained from positive feedback loops, creativity, extrovert personality, appearance, constantly following trends, and yes luck 100% plays into the role of their success. Is the Stockguy a political streamer? I hope he’s not “innocent” because Asmon being smug about a guy losing 99% of his income sounds devastating; the guy may have kids and likely a family. I’ll assume since he’s a stock guy he has money, but I’m positive there are many people this week who may have just reached their dream relying solely on Twitch; less than a month from Christmas, who may not be able to provide the Christmas they wanted for their family or rent. Twitch forced Asmon to run ads on his channel. Asmon then exposes Twitch which leads to all advertisers to leave. Now he's back to having no ads. This is a 5head gamer move.
Dan Saltman who is Destiny's best friend is the reason this is happening. He has contacted hundreds of advertisers to withdraw from twitch until they shape up their terms of service, rule enforcement and poor business practices.

Saying Dan is not at fault because these things happened even before he was CEO is a bad argument. He was promoting Hasan all the time. Hasan is ALWAYS on the front page of Twitch whenever he's online. The fact that Dan didn't do anything about it and actively endorsed it are enough reason to say he's at fault. Hasan is over there with more freedom that a Kick streamer to act reckless and never got banned for it continued to show up the front page.
Dan is the CEO of the company. CEO’s are 100% at fault one way or another. It’s either a failure to notice the issue and make meaningful changes to fix it or he ignored it and buried his head in the sand. It’s a failure of leadership at the highest level.
@@XxCrankyMoosexX it's definitely the latter. He definitely ignored it because he didn't find Hasan's actions as problematic. Granted decent percentage of people are more likely to up their spending than save/invest, even when you know that high income is likely time limited or likely to vary. It is most obvious with pro sports, top end of music and movie stars, lottery winners, and inherited money. Look, I dont expect all the essential workers to be making the same as Elon Musk who built Tesla Space X etc. Etc. but man, it makes me a bit angry to see how much our "essential workers" are paid meanwhile these "influencers" who provide nothing more than entertainment can make so much money. I literally thought the same thing as you: maybe we can get essential workers to be advertising or something 🤣, because thats the only reason these "influencers" and "entertainers" are making so much, ie ad revenue.
People in the entertainment sector have always made a disproportionately large income to basically any other job due to how much money is raked in by ads and various other things. Streamers, actors, youtubers, CEO's. There are some sects of society that are paid so demonstrably above what they deserve, or should ever receive. While others who put in so much more work, and get barely a fraction.
Alright I'm gonna have to clarify something for you. "Putting in work" doesn't mean you're entitled to anything. You don't get paid for your labor, you get paid for the value you produce, aka to make stuff people want. People aren't interested in seeing you bust your ass and toil and sweat all day long, they're interested in what comes out at the end of the pipeline. This means that the only upper limit to how much you can justifiably get paid, is how much people crave your product. If you have a hard time doing it, that doesn't mean you're justified in asking for more money, it just means you now have a greater subjective incentive to ask for more money, but that's not the same thing as offering people an incentive to give you more money. I mean you could guilt-trip people into paying you more, you could trick them into thinking that labor is the same thing as value, but they would eventually wise up. That being said, it is true that streamers actually produce very little value for advertisers. Online platforms constantly have to trick announcers into thinking that they have way more influence over viewers than they really do. Now they're wising up to the trick.
If some kid that most people have never heard of can make 10k a day playing video games, there needs to be a major ad market value correction. Because there's no way advertisers are getting their money back on that S.
Facts, and thats just ad revenue not even his subs and donations. I hope trump raises taxes on all these companies. They ban free speech but take in all that ad revenue? No more, this needs to stop.
You are comically out of touch. A gacha game selling a monthly pass for $20 ($250/yr) needs only FORTY fish to make back that $10k. Never mind the one whale that spends $10k in his first week. And just 1 out of his 100,000 viewers signing up for a casino already makes that $10k. The rest is pure profit.
Stop speaking about stuff when you aren’t fully sure about what you’re saying. Companies only need a fraction of the prey to pay them back for the money spent on advertising to all of the prey.
Was only a few months ago. Melonie Mac said "Twitch is a dying platform" and Asmongold laughed at her. Now Asmongold is posting videos about how twitch is a dying platform.

People trying to blame asmongold or Hasan for the twitch ad issue is like medieval people blaming owls or black cats for plagues and such.
We have advanced technology, but we have not taken a single step forward socially.
Bro, if twitch shuts down because they banned asmongold. That would be the ultimate irony and beauty. How beautiful would that be? We would all follow Asmon anywhere anyway. But how amazing would it be because they decided to ban him all this brought attention to their underbelly, and they shutdown because of it.
Could I get a quick recap of how the ban led to this? I’m out of touch in the situation
@@Tice022 Asmon got banned for saying Palestinians deserve what they're getting and a large wave of people started pointing out how Hassan and his clique have been far more racist and regularly violate ToS without bans for a long time. This led to a signal boosting of twitchs banning of Israeli individuals and at the same time a politician started talking about Hassans clique in congress. Essentially, no one was looking until they banned Asmon
@@Tice022 Hasan was saying very derogatory things about Jews, especially in regards to current events. Asmon said something very derogatory about Palestinians, and was banned. Asmon's ban went viral, because of course it did. His ban pointed out though that Twitch was only banning people saying derogatory things about one side. So the internet pitchfork crew got their torches out, which caused enough of a stir to attract the attention of advertisers. Advertisers don't like their ads being near controversial content, and so pulled their ads. And all of this could have been avoided if Twitch had taken action against Hasan ages ago.
@@Tice022 Asmon said he didn't care if people in the middle east died and got banned for it. One could argue about which job is more important, specially coming from a pandemic...I can never empathize with that "struggle". I guess RN should start running ads while working. 700k is still a lot of money for the work streamers/influencers do.
Yup, you're an "essential worker" who had to work in person during 2020, a "essential worker" meaning someone who this country LITERALLY NEEDS to work otherwise the country wil COLLAPSE......yet when you look at the salarys of many of these "essential workers" they aren't even close to high earners. Maybe upper middle class at best and lower class at worst.
Yeah I’m an EMT and I started at $10/hr. Getting my medic so I can make $18.

Streamers, actors, youtubers, CEO's.
There are some sects of society that are paid so demonstrably above what they deserve, or should ever receive. While others who put in so much more work, and get barely a fraction.
night media
No more, this needs to stop.
i hope he is a janitor 4 years from now
And twitch keeps 50% on most streams, 75% on DJ streams since like august
You are comically out of touch. A gacha game selling a monthly pass for $20 ($250/yr) needs only FORTY fish to make back that $10k. Never mind the one whale that spends $10k in his first week. And just 1 out of his 100,000 viewers signing up for a casino already makes that $10k. The rest is pure profit.
Stop speaking about stuff when you aren’t fully sure about what you’re saying.
Companies only need a fraction of the prey to pay them back for the money spent on advertising to all of the prey.
the entertainment business shouldnt be making thismuch anyways. Its basically online homelessness with people gving u money for barely anything
