you realise these 2 games have nothing to do with each other apart from the open world component right? ..not even the time period is the same, one is 1200 and the other in the bakumatsu period it's like comparing Mafia 3 to the Witcher.... one is a souls like and the other is an action adventure. one goes for a realistic and historically accurate setting and the other one for an artistic and at time psychedelic rendition... Honestly they both look good enough to me. Not to count I would personally choose Nioh over Ghost of Tsushima any time (even tho Ghost is one of the the best Assassins Creed ever made... and tragically not by Ubisoft). Maybe you could compare Ghost to AC Red...
In the combat section, it blows Ghost out of the picture, if Team Ninja gets the story narrative right, which I’ve high expectations, I can totally see Rise of the Ronin taking over as THE SAMURAI game
@@SantiagoLeungPrime wait till the game comes out, if you know Team Ninja, then one thing is set in stone in terms of quality, it’s their gameplay and combat mechanics, they simply never miss
I have mixed feelings about anticipating Rise of Ronin's story. Nioh 1 was simple and fantastic, but when it went to the silent create-a-character in Nioh 2, it lost story power. But I do hope it's good. Wo Long was such a disappointment in most aspects so I hope to god they learned lessons from it. Team Ninja are unrivaled in combat gameplay, no action game or "souls" game can hope to compare, except maybe Devil May Cry. I just hope it's closer to Nioh than Wo Long.
Little to no impact but oh so much depth; you’re bound to do a lot more than what we’ve already just seen. Ghost has good visuals and ok combat, Ronn has dated visuals with combat depth which was always TN’s main focus
PS4 GoT looks better than PS5 RorR. While visuals don't dictate overall how good a game is, but RotR really looks rough. Also, that horse animation is something out of Dynasty Warriors 3. My hype has certainly died down for the game. I am a little disappointed they didn't release a demo for it as they did with Nioh and Wo Long. I bought both title as the demos / betas were super fun. Let's see what reviews are like in a few days.
What i hate about people is that they don't understand what Team Ninja were going for. The devs themselvea said they were focusing on GAMEPLAY not GRAPHICS. I'm still shocked at how much graphics "impact" a game's enjoyment smh.
Yeah people like to cry, they Said the same shit about every fromsoftware game that comes out, even Elden ring because the graphics aren’t the best, and somehow still won goty..because gameplay is what matters most
When you buy a console for better visuals and performance, you kind of expect it. I have a PS5 and it's been a pretty disappointing era so far. At this point it's hardly an upgrade to the PS4.

One is an arcade hack and slash with high emphasis on gameplay while the other a beautiful story based game. Stop comparing graphics to how good the game will be. Ronin already is looking to have better combat than GoT but yeah the graphics don't compare.
Honestly I'm not sure how I should compare these two games considering one is placed in 1274, the other one is placed well past the 1500s cus European-style buildings never existed in Japan until quite some time after their feudal wars in the late 1500s. I feel like quite a bit of the realism factor is missing from Rise of the Ronin from the grapple which can fling the character into the sky at speeds that make no sense for the era, a combat system that doesn't really have as much effort put in as GoT, and the glider which physically should never be able to function due to the materials used to create it vs the weight of an adult (literally made of straw with some haphazardly attached animal hide of some sort). This is all assuming that the game was trying to make realism a thing, but based on the amount of inconsistencies though I'd say that the game is more for people to just enjoy rather than for realism. If I had to make a decision between the two I'd take Ghost of Tsushima because realism mixed into a generally well-rounded gameplay seems to fit my amusement better than physics that are excessively out of proportion.
Ronin is like a pseudo-reality/fantasy game based on some make believe historical setting. (The Technology for his Kit does not exist) GoT is feels like an immersive reality based on The Mongols failed attempt at taking down Japan. The Mongol Empire hit a Wall in the conquest of Japan they did however exceed thou around their neighbour countries. (His Kit does in fact exist even today).
Its ridiculous that they ask 70 $ for a game which looks like PS2 game. Cant believe they couldnt do better for PS5 console. Before this game is even out it needs to be REMASTERED.

Both games look great. Ghost is a Sony production with a large budget, state of the art graphics and great combat. Ronin is a smaller production with a heavy focus on style and awesome fights. It's like a samurai manga coming to life. Also, it has the benefit of being a game set in Japan made by japanese people, so it will probably be very authentic with its story. Ghost of Tsushima sometimes feels like Tom Cruise's The Last Samurai, in the way they portrayed the samurai as some sort of honorable martial artists. Real samurai were ruthless and always made everything necessary to win. There was no "our code forbids we hide in the shadows and use dirty tactics" way of thinking.
Tsushima was repetitive with its bird-chasing, fox-running, duels… I really got tired of them at the final act! Only the shrine-climbing I wasn’t sick of!
Ronin combat is basically Spider-Man it’s fast movement fighting style seems too fake and. unrealistic and ghost is more realistic and can feel the impact of each strike but yet slower.
you clearly haven't played spiderman and any of the Team Ninja games to say such a stupid thing, Ghost combat is clunky and unrealistic, it has zero impact
They even copied ghosts stances. Lol jap devs fail asf when it comes to realstic potrails of anything even their own culture and nation devs outside do better job of representing a relastic take.
Ronin actually in production BEFORE Nioh..in 2015! Then it was shelved. So it makes sense now why it looks the way it does. I’m hoping they do a remaster in the unreal engine 4-5z it’s still not back for a 9 yr old game!
In terms of gameplay I can't say much, since I haven't played Ronin. But graphically and artistically? Ghost is the clear winner here. It's world feels like it's own living character. Every time I play the game it just makes me want to be there in real life and explore. Without all the Mongols and fighting of course, lmao.
I like that Rise of Ronin actually looks like Japan. Ghost of Tsushima looks like someone did a Google Image search for Japan and randomly mosaicked the results together with a +100 saturation filter over top.
I was close to buy Rise of the Ronin but after research & comparison I found Ghost of Tsushima is much better than Rise of the Ronin. I recomand for Ghost of Tsushima even its older & never buy Rise of the Ronin, you regret.
This is a good video. Definitely worried about the comparisons. Seems Rise of Ronin was not enough itself and copied too much from Ghost/Elden-Sekiro/Wo Long.
Ghost of Tsushima is always going to be an incredibly tough act to follow as it's one of the best looking (and playing), games ever made. RoR looks decent, though. So long as the gameplay is fun, I'll still definitely play it.
Graphic and texture on GOT are top of the top with no stutter or frame drops. ROR looks like a modern Omnishua while GOT can easily walk its way through a PS6 and beyond. In GOT every footprint shows on the muddied ground @5:01 mark ROR there’s literally no tracks. Basically boils down to attention to detail. GOT is easily 10/10 . you realise these 2 games have nothing to do with each other apart from the open world component right? ..not even the time period is the same, one is 1200 and the other in the bakumatsu period it's like comparing Mafia 3 to the Witcher.... one is a souls like and the other is an action adventure. one goes for a realistic and historically accurate setting and the other one for an artistic and at time psychedelic rendition... Honestly they both look good enough to me. Not to count I would personally choose Nioh over Ghost of Tsushima any time (even tho Ghost is one of the the best Assassins Creed ever made... and tragically not by Ubisoft). Maybe you could compare Ghost to AC Red...
Of course you would compare GOT to assassins Creed
@@zehedkbosma5612 i watched someone play GOT in the snow and i legit for a second thought they were playing valhalla.
@@zehedkbosma5612GOT is pretty much a Japanese version of AC
I only played got this year and it was goddamn beautiful graphics, environment everything
Nah, thank you for the side by side. Really helped with my decision. Definitely getting, after Skull and Bones, I need this..🤦🏾♂️😂
imagine playing skull and bones
*Rise pf the Ronin looks like a Batman: Arkham Night.*
I think it’s the colors that make Ghost of Tsushima pop. If Rise of the Ronin had better colors it’d compare more.
It’s like the differences between Chinese and Germany cars
O gráfico do ghost of the sushima é difícil de bater.😮
This game feels like if GoT, Sekiro, Dark Souls and Batman Arkham all made a baby together
I’m jealous that you have played it already
i didnt. it looks like it in the gameplay footages@@michaelh3715
In the combat section, it blows Ghost out of the picture, if Team Ninja gets the story narrative right, which I’ve high expectations, I can totally see Rise of the Ronin taking over as THE SAMURAI game
no way you said that, the combat in rise of the ronin has little to none impact, you can't feel the force like we do in ghost of tsushima
I'm sure they're both great games, though I hear Ghost 2 is supposed to be far along in production...
This Just looks like Way of The Samurai 4
But....LESS 😮
Saved me 70 bucks . Finger crossed for Stellar Blade
I think gameplay is more important
The gameplay still looks better in Ghost
I personally will take excellent graphics with slightly less involved combat. I enjoy being immersed, especially in any open world game.
What song is at 3:00?
Thusima better AAA
Ronin indi looks like
What i hate about people is that they don't understand what Team Ninja were going for. The devs themselvea said they were focusing on GAMEPLAY not GRAPHICS. I'm still shocked at how much graphics "impact" a game's enjoyment smh.
Bcuz charging us for $70 is not acceptable not everyone likes the gameplay only and it's a ps5 game too should be like a good graphics atleast
Ghost of tsushima is a triple A game. One of the best game of 2023
The first minutes song...which is it?
They did more with the Rise of the Ronin but Ghost of Tsushima looks way better. Moves more like a human. Ronin is more cartoonish to me.
Thats the goal lmao.
@@inoodlesi4459 i love it when people play a game of a studio and expect it to play exactly like another game they like just because they are similar
Fanboys are funny. Both are PlayStation exclusives but i see some people actually talking negatively about a game thay hasn't been been released yet.
Ronin still seems like a it'll be a solid game, people get to caught up on visuals nowadays.
Duh for an 85$ dollar price tag! And HUGE AAA Developer team!!! It’s insulting
Check out my game im working on, its just me at the moment. Its a traditional ninja experience, I want to stay true to the ninja genre we once fell in love with. I hope team ninja notices me one day

both Art work is different ?
Ghost of Tsushima has outstanding lighting and aesthetics, that alone makes any competition difficult.
GHOST is the better game period. This shouldn't even be a debate
Rise of the Ronin hasn't even been released yet.
@roninfredo6844 true but it ain't out doing GHOT idc 😂
@@lavonjr6042Ignorant ass take.
@@lavonjr6042What an idiot. Its not a debate but a comparison. And these games don't compare to each other at all. Completely different styles.
(The Technology for his Kit does not exist)
GoT is feels like an immersive reality based on The Mongols failed attempt at taking down Japan.
The Mongol Empire hit a Wall in the conquest of Japan they did however exceed thou around their neighbour countries. (His Kit does in fact exist even today).
@@abrahamissac5938 Yeah and that right there makes me wonder how I could compare the two games, they live in two different eras and genres
It's finally come time to upgrade my console I guess...
Yes it's time to get a ps5. You will not regret it!

Rise of the ronin feels like a gaaaame
Graphics shouldnt be the priority
Sometimes those" ps3 "games feel better
Ghost has great combat and graphics also the open world is the most important thing.
Ghost Tsushima is still one of the best looking most Immersive game i ever played...sekiro is the most intuitive game mechanics and challenging game...not fair to compare this game with that, maybe compare it with the most recent assassin's creed instead
tsushima likes better
Of course ghost of tsushima is better! 😊But we will find out more on launch.
of course Rise of the Ronin is better
I can easily get past Rises dated graphics if the gameplay is good, not convinced though tbh.
Both beautiful
Tsushima was repetitive with its bird-chasing, fox-running, duels… I really got tired of them at the final act!
Only the shrine-climbing I wasn’t sick of!
Ghost is far better don’t even try to compare
GOT has better enviorments and feeling.
Gameplay too
Ronin combat is basically Spider-Man it’s fast movement fighting style seems too fake and. unrealistic and ghost is more realistic and can feel the impact of each strike but yet slower.
you clearly haven't played spiderman and any of the Team Ninja games to say such a stupid thing, Ghost combat is clunky and unrealistic, it has zero impact
Games are not about realism. It will be awesome to fight like a samurai straight out from Rurouni Kenshin.

They look fairly similar to me. I'm loving ghost of tsushima at the moment so I may aswell get ronin yoke for me next platinum.
Crazy how people don’t see it’s not the same style of game design when it comes to graphics. It’s more like Nioh type of graphics.
Rise of the Ronin looks fantastic on its own way and the gameplay is top notch, currently playing it 👌🏻
Short answer, there is no comparison. Ghost of Tsushima is the far superior looking game.
Rise of ronin is a great video game the only thing is that ghost of tsushima is just on an another level and it's too good to be compared with ronin
I cant wait to jump into Rise of the Ronin. I really enjoyed Ghost of Tsushima.
I like that Rise of Ronin actually looks like Japan. Ghost of Tsushima looks like someone did a Google Image search for Japan and randomly mosaicked the results together with a +100 saturation filter over top.
Ghost of Tsushima > Ronin but I will play both
I was close to buy Rise of the Ronin but after research & comparison I found Ghost of Tsushima is much better than Rise of the Ronin. I recomand for Ghost of Tsushima even its older & never buy Rise of the Ronin, you regret.
This is a good video. Definitely worried about the comparisons. Seems Rise of Ronin was not enough itself and copied too much from Ghost/Elden-Sekiro/Wo Long.
haha, Ghost and Sekiro copied Nioh first, which is made by this company, and there is nothing like Elden Ring or Sekiro in this game at all
Compared to the assassins creed games like origin, odyssey, and vahalla, these games look terrible.
Got looks more polished.
GoT every day.
A masterpiece
Combat, fencing it's just something else
Two different artstyles. Created by two different companies. They're going to look different
ROR is probably going to be between 8.5 or 9/ 10
