I was so stoked I could watch UA-cam on Peloton! Then I added my credentials and found out it is just UA-cam TV, not UA-cam Proper. Big bummer. I'd love for them to make it a general YT app integration.
I definitely get my moneys worth. Hoping they survive and get some great new instructors. I have the bike, tread, and guide. I also love the app to run and walk outdoors.
I love my Pelo. Had it for years now. Yes I have the service but it’s on auto debit and I don’t even see it. I supplement it with many other workout routines. So he’s not wrong but it’s totally worth it. Definitely find a used one though. I got an extra one for my 6 year old… she’s 8 now but she’ll grow into it. It was too good a deal to pass up on Offer Up. Pennies on the dollar. I’m around 500 rides now. Goal setting and leaderboard really activate athletes of yesteryear! Look you either chose to pay for your health or you’ll be forced to pay for your sickness. Always remember that!
Their programs and collections are really good options for following a structured fitness plan. There's something for everyone. Granted, if you are a heavy lifter then there are program limitations but there are more than enough split programs where you can bring your heavy weights into them. I do see your point regarding using your bike only for entertainment but still having to pay for full subscription as well as buying used.
I have a Guide and the Guide’s 24/mo membership. I have a non-Peloton tread and am thinking about buying a used Schwinn IC4 and just use my iPad like I do with my treadmill. My training plan comes from Ladder which is amazing and paying the yearly fee comes to 15/month. Strength training taken to the next level for both in-home and at the gym. I do love Peloton’s yoga, meditation, running, walking, and stretching workouts which is why I keep my Guide membership active.
Possible reason #6: upcoming changes/decreases to the live class schedule. Colin, I have a question. Have you tried a (standing desk) walkingpad (I didn't see any reviews going back a year). I'm thinking of a thread for walking (I'm not much of a runner) and the Peloton is a consideration, but might be overpriced for my needs (potential live schedule changes is another consideration). Thanks!!
