Complete play through of Gran Turismo Arcade Mode. The Europe version has been played here. For better or worse I keep all the replay videos after every race making the video quite long. I adjust the volume at the start as the engine sounds are far too loud by default blocking out the music. This is an issue with all Gran Turismo games and I have no idea why the sound engineer wants to include a soundrack that we cant hear and also have the game sound like were sitting on the engine block the whole time.
The games soundtrack is mostly the same as the US release and is not bad at all and suits high speed racing compared to the slow d&b tracks in GT2. Only 'High' by The Music Factory (TMF) was cut from this Europe release of the game.
I have played all races on Hard so that they only need to be played once and unlock everything as I go. I try to make use of every car available although I had run out of tracks when I had unlock the last 4 car manufacturers. In hindsight I maybe should have raced the 3 classes on each track before moving onto the next as then I would have had some races left to use the unlocked cars.
After 24 races and the ending cinematic, I unlock Hi-Fi mode and show off the 3 tracks in this special mode which achieves a smooth 50 fps by only having 1 car and significantly reducing the lighting effects amongst other things.

I play that game on my phone thanks to a PS1 emulator. Much better than whatever cash-grab garbage that is made for Android.
Same, good times with this. Too many racing games now are stale and with stupid story modes / annoying narration.

Man, when I was young, those replays were one of the sickest things I had ever witnessed in that gaming generation.
i used to play this game a lot with my friends back in late 1998 and early 1999 i miss my childhood days so much
Maaan the music the sound effects even the tires screeching brings me back in time..I would love to relive my childhood for at least 1 day just to experience this game for the first time on Christmas..my eyes lit up with joy and thank my mother my Rest In Peace because I knew at a very young age it was her…I love I mom and I miss u always.

My favourite part of this game was being able to take your memory card to a friends house and use your own custom car to battle their custom car. It was really incredible way back then.
Pretty sure this is still THE highest rated racing game of all time. The back of the jewel case even claimed "the game by which all future racing games would be judged against".

The memories with this game I loved this game and every GT that came after it except for GT6 now I'm waiting patiently for GT7. This is the game that turned me on to Video Games, Cars, Corvettes, and PlayStation

Charged this game on my credit card knowing i couldnt afford to back then. These were great times! Who would've thought things could've got better graphically after playing this game.
This brings me back to when I had dreams of having all these cars. Unfortunately by time I could drive they were 8 years old and hard to come by.
I played this game religiosly (and very poorly at that) when I was little on my dads ps1, this game is the reason why I am still in love with cars, even tho I just got my license a few months ago. Sadly all my dream cars are 20+ years old, so I think I'll likely never own them :/ I WISH I got my license back when they were just 8 years old, which seems like nothing to me considering how old they are now :( but back then I wasn't even alive so theres that...

The Honda NSX and Mazda RX7 PS game consoles use the hand stick to operate the brake. Use the point brake to adjust the direction of the movement. If necessary, release the accelerator or extend the brake a little bit. After entering the corner, look left or right and reverse the direction of the big bend and the small bend. Practice a few times (try not to hit the wall or roll the turf) I can play the Chevrolet muscle car like this, but I can't turn it too much, it will spin in circles and slip.
This game needs to be listed as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant"

The biggest difference between this and the US version is probably the Honda selection with the lack of Acuras.
The multicoloured Jaccs civic is why I went out n got a Honda Civic, in real life.

I miss this game. I have it for PS1 but the disc is heavily scratched. Now I use a PSX emulator on my phone. It sucks.

Honestly i don't like playing any video game console made for standard tv on a HD tv, it makes it look horrible, those games were made to be played on a standard tv resolution 720x576, so the full HD or Hd resolution really show all the imperfection in the graphic.
