I had seen my son listening to something with his earphones on. I didn't know what it was and tonight I took his phone to listen. To my amazement, I started to listen to this magnificent orchestration work and I have to say that this is fantastic. I went non-stop listening. Sir you are fabulous. Thank you for sharing so exquisite pieces with your audience. You are terrific! My son is a fan of yours and so am I since tonight, when I first listened to your work. I just love it!
Thank you so much for the kind comment! Even though I've been doing this for a while now, I'm still surprised when I hear that there are others who like listening to my content. I'll do my best to keep making more!
*Research introduction --* Returning to life time and again since the ancient middle ages, the evil lord Dracula has driven people to terror. Each time Dracula returned from the dead, the Belmont clan fought him in the shadows, wielding the holy whip. Through their efforts, humanity avoided darkness, securing prosperity. But, early in the 19th century, having lost their ability to resist the darkness, those in positions of power at the time began to search for new ways to counter Dracula. Our organization, Ecclesia, was born then as one of those countermeasures. Many organizations were established with the same goal, and day after day, they conducted their studies diligently, but each was dissolved when they failed to produce satisfactory results. But that was when Barlowe, the leader of Ecclesia, finally made a surprising breakthrough that could stand up against Dracula.
But Barlowe was a traitor all along. He couldn't resist the whispers of power in his ears. His efforts were thwarted by a single warrior. No one knows who he or she is. Some say that they are the descendants of the Belmont clan. Some even say they are the last surviving member of the Ecclesia that could have been. Most are convinced that they don't even exist, and that Barlowe was consumed by his own hubris. The only proof of their existence is the order of Ecclesia was utterly destroyed that same night. There was no victory celebration for them. No trace of their passing as they disappeared into the night...
It was perfect as always Malcolm!, Castlevania has easily one of the best soundtracks, Michiru Yamane did some sick work, hope to hear more Castlevania from you c:
Love that theme! And at the part, the choire starts, goose bumps has no limits. Great work how you increase the songs to the culminant point, where the choir fulfill the mission!
I'm planning to do a bunch of Castlevania tracks from various games in the series in no particular order. When I reach 15 tracks, I'll go back and fix some of my earlier ones and then release the whole thing as a cover album. After that, if people want more, I'll keep making more.
Malcolm Robinson Music Well...I don't force you, then... But you should play that Game...It's awesome and, let's just say that it's quite unique for the Genre. When you had the time, Try it...I think that it can be useful for new Ideas.
It depends entirely on the piece. If I'm orchestrating anything from SNES or later, I try to choose instruments that resemble the original as closely as possible, but I also layer in a lot of extra instruments to give it a richer sound. I tend to choose contrabass/tuba/contrabassoon for growling low sustains and piano/harp for high arpeggios. Violin/viola/flute in octaves are great for a melody and sustained french horns/clarinets are great for the harmony. Timpani rolls and cymbal rolls are perfect for transitions. This is very general orchestration advice, but I hope it helps!
I think the best thing to do in the beginning is to become familiar with the sounds of all the instruments in the orchestra to the point where you can recognize each instrument when you listen to orchestral music. After that, listen to a lot of real orchestral music and pay attention to the role of each instrument and instrument combinations. You can also try remaking real orchestral pieces using a DAW and sample libraries to practice using the instruments properly.
I never played Castlevania, but now I know this beautiful music. Thank you again :) ! I think you know Fire Emblem. Can you make an orchestration of this game ? With Fates or Awakening, you can do a lot of things !
I would be open to doing music to Fire Emblem, but the problem is that the franchise is owned by Nintendo and they have very strict policies about using their music, including making covers. They are one of the only video game publishers that doesn't grant licenses for cover albums and they always run ads on videos if UA-cam's algorithm detects that the music is similar.
This doesn't sound like Dracula ressurecting if you take the song out of the context of Castlevania, you can easily imagine this song as impending doom of an incoming world ending asteroid. It's still an epic opening theme.
Absolutely! I need to take a bit of a break from it though. I think my next few uploads will be non-Undertale, and then I'll finish up some of my half-finished Undertale orchestrations like Death Report and Battle Against a True Hero.
Malcolm Robinson Music Malcolm Robinson Music if you're still going to be making undertale songs do you think you'll be able to make Undying's theme? It's not the battle against a true hero one but the first one you hear that plays when Papyrus is talking to Undying while we hide in the grass....no matter how hard I try I can't find one....

Best Dad Award.
If you can find a way to bond with him, do it. Mine didn't.
This intro theme solidified Order of Ecclesia as my favorite Castlevania game, and consequently, Shanoa as my favorite protagonist.
Dang. That intro and voice over.
Amazing. Simply amazing
I wanted An Empty Tome, but that's awesome too :D
And if you do it, you hopefully do it with violin sound. I fuckin love violins ._.
This deserves more views

I'm still waiting for "Dracula's Castle"s song of Castlevania Symphony of Night ! :D
I love your work dude !
Thanks! I really hope I can do it someday.
Your work will never fail to amaze me.
YES! Order of Ecclesia has a great soundtrack.
I get so excited every time you post a new track. Your mixes are always the best!
Thanks! This track was one of the odd ones that wasn't composed by Michiru Yamane, but I thought it sounded great anyway so I gave it a shot.
It was perfect as always Malcolm!, Castlevania has easily one of the best soundtracks, Michiru Yamane did some sick work, hope to hear more Castlevania from you c:
Amazing! I wish this was longer and also available on youtube music. This needs to be in my workout mix
Love that theme! And at the part, the choire starts, goose bumps has no limits. Great work how you increase the songs to the culminant point, where the choir fulfill the mission!
Finally! Other music for castlevania order of ecclesia!
I love these selection of songs, more obscure cv tracks with your talent make me fall in love with the music all over again
THE SONG IS PERFECT!!!

Your remix are pretty much perfect. Can you do more of castlevania ?
Like all of Castlevania.
I'm planning to do a bunch of Castlevania tracks from various games in the series in no particular order. When I reach 15 tracks, I'll go back and fix some of my earlier ones and then release the whole thing as a cover album. After that, if people want more, I'll keep making more.
Absolutely wonderful! Gonna' have to listen to this until the next remix.
Alr I'm starting my end of the year mix with this one
whoa, impeccable arrangement
You know what you should do? The soundtrack Of Live A Live...
Some songs of Live A Live needs an Orchestral treatment...And you're just simply good.
I would consider it, but I only cover games that I've actually played and unfortunately I never played Live A Live.

Epic!
Holy fuck! This is beautiful...
Awesome!
ahh, the piano is very chilling to listen to, definitely compliments the strings very well for the song

Malcolm Robinson Music i'll keep this mind!
what advise would you give to someone that is aspiring to make orchestral pieces?

Despite the fact that I can do all that, I can never find the time to actually arrange the pieces myself :/
soooooooo EPIC!
epic

And this is the same when you quote the liscence ? What a shame :( ...

It's still an epic opening theme.
Are those a few pieces of Vampire Killer I hear?
could you plase try to make a rendition of "Empty Tome" or "Jaws of a scorched earth"?
Please remix Simon's Theme or Vampire Killer
it been a long time
Will you be doing any more Undertale remixes?
Absolutely! I need to take a bit of a break from it though. I think my next few uploads will be non-Undertale, and then I'll finish up some of my half-finished Undertale orchestrations like Death Report and Battle Against a True Hero.
