that little segment where Dracula and Richter shout lines at each other, with Vlad sucking the souls out of everyone who isn't preforming, was goddamn hilarous and i loved it
These arrangements are incredible. They bring together so many of the contributions made to each song throughout the years and really seem to be trying to pay respect not just to the legacy of the music as a whole, but the legacy of each individual song. I found myself reminded of old versions of some songs that even I had forgotten. I thought I was being clever with a little twist in my simple Vampire Killer arrangement a few years back, but apparently someone did the same thing, and better, ten years before me. I'd love to do just one small arrangement for a concert like this some day, you know?
Thank you! The idea behind the first part of the vampire killer arrangement was simply that I thought it would be funny to play it with 8 bit sounds only, even though we had a whole symphony orchestra just sitting there 😃

There isn't really a "just" a videogame. Videogames are works of art, and should be created with that in mind instead of them just being considered as ways to make money.
Simply magical.. I can picture myself walking through the halls of Dracula's castle (as well as dungeons and swamps on his property as well). Beautifully orchestrated!
You know you have played way too much Castlevania when you listen to this concert and you automatically hear the sound effects and enemy death rattles appropriate for each melody.

This gave me Goosebumps. I really love the Castlevania Games and the great OST is absolutely worth getting a whole concert dedicated to it. Thank you for uploading this.
A lot of that is shoddy mic placement. Live recordings aren’t as conducive to great audio recording as repetition in studio and the inevitable editing and engineering afterward.
I loved the part where he played the GB intro on the keyboard! I laughed out loud and then rewound and played it again. And then later, one of the stage hands ran out and was wearing a hooded cloak, but he was all hunched over, like Igor or a fleaman. It was awesome.
Sure, help us share the video, the more views it gets, the higher the chance for a tour. We have to convince the concert halls that there is a Castlevania audience out there 👍

Thank you! The idea behind the first part of the vampire killer arrangement was simply that I thought it would be funny to play it with 8 bit sounds only, even though we had a whole symphony orchestra just sitting there 😃
Is it a crime to say Prayer was my favorite part of ALL of this? I could listen to those voices forever... just like I used to 20 years ago on my PS1.
Same.
What a Horrible Night
to have a Blessed beloved Castlevania tracks
love that there was some love for several of the underrated Castlevania OST such CV 64
The amount of dedication to our world of nerd is over 9000.
WHAT!? OVER 9000!?
I dont know why, but when dracula's castle started i almost cried and had goosebumps for the first 10 seconds.
Remember Michiru you don’t have to go so hard, it’s just music for a videogame.
Michiru: The fuck I will!
😅😂
There isn't really a "just" a videogame. Videogames are works of art, and should be created with that in mind instead of them just being considered as ways to make money.
Dracula force choking the band at 1:30:40 was everything I never knew I needed.
the amount of youngsters in this orchestra makes my heart happy
Simply magical.. I can picture myself walking through the halls of Dracula's castle (as well as dungeons and swamps on his property as well). Beautifully orchestrated!
That Dracula impression was spot on!! Even all the voice inflections and such! Bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You know you have played way too much Castlevania when you listen to this concert and you automatically hear the sound effects and enemy death rattles appropriate for each melody.
Wuuoooo...

Maravilhoso, assistir essas belissímas composições agr eternizadas numa orquerstra. simplesmente maravilhoso o trabalho da grande Michiru Yamane
2024 going into 2025, we need this tour to resume pretty please! It would be too tragic not to hear this live. If you can't imagine which game and what part of the castle you are exploring then you need to play it again... Bonus: SOTN is on the Android market now!
*Disclaimer* if you choose to get the game on your phone it's your fault if you get in trouble at work ...use responsibly!
i love how the conductor is like, yup those guy know what they are doing .
There's definitely NO WAY to do not cry of emotion and nostalgic with this if you've played at least some or even the full series of the games. Magnificent and spectacular! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😭😭😭😭
OMG what did I just found... wishing the exact thing years ago, but only some pieces poorly recorded back then. It’s a dream becoming true because of you
Awesome performance, my childhood memories back dashed in an instant enjoying all castlevania games
I always loved all this song even 20 years later.

Happy Ten Year Concert Anniversary. You and everyone that helped put this together made as much of a contribution to Vania's musical library as the original scores did. Thanks for the memories and the re-upload.
“WICKED CHILD” is one of the best performance! 👌
It was so good MegaMan and Chrono rocked up on Chocobo’s to enjoy it
When seeing Michiru Yamane (山根ミチル) appeared on the stage and played "Wood Carving Paritia - Symphony of the Night", I was totally thrilled and couldn't control myself...
Oh my god! That is actually Michiru Yamane on the piano and harpsichord! That is awesome.
This gave me Goosebumps. I really love the Castlevania Games and the great OST is absolutely worth getting a whole concert dedicated to it.
Thank you for uploading this.
1:04:35 wait, I've listened Mega Man and Chrono Trigger's easter eggs on there? Amazing!
Yes.
And the theme of Chocobo from Final Fantasy too.
Haha yeap, just noticed that
Thank you for this huge gift, it was a beautiful concert to remember forever and now we can enjoy it more
Obrigado!!! Impressionante!
Thanks! Be a long time I wanted to see the full concert. Awesome!
Watch this every Halloween, thank you Mr Westerlund for your hard work and efforts. This is amazing and beautiful and will always be a tradition
Calling From Heaven on here was utterly impressive. The tracked played on violin brought out the power of the track.
Extraordinário, melhor jogo da historia!!!!
concordo
Absolutely love Lost Painting.
SCIV ending is just 😭❤️
It finally reached me in the algorithm, so strange to see so many others that are on the same path of convergence
This is absolutely the best recommendation on my UA-cam feed in years. Nailed it completely.
Same for me me, yesterday I read about that concert and today I find it on YT. That the internet! :D
Muy buen concierto.
Amo mucho castlevania.
" LA SINFONIA DE LA NOCHE "
y tambien amo mucho a Suecia donde yo vivo ahora.
Gracias por este lindo regalo. 😎🇸🇪
very impressed how 'close' performance is to the actual game soundtrack. Often these orchestral covers sound nothing like the original.
A lot of that is shoddy mic placement. Live recordings aren’t as conducive to great audio recording as repetition in studio and the inevitable editing and engineering afterward.
This is awesome. They are making me wanted play the game now. I love it. The best castlevania game ever hands down.
I loved the part where he played the GB intro on the keyboard! I laughed out loud and then rewound and played it again. And then later, one of the stage hands ran out and was wearing a hooded cloak, but he was all hunched over, like Igor or a fleaman. It was awesome.
Please do a tour!! I know I'd pay to see and hear this. Amazing.
Sure, help us share the video, the more views it gets, the higher the chance for a tour. We have to convince the concert halls that there is a Castlevania audience out there 👍
@@DavidWesterlund SOTN is only one of the most beloved game soundtracks that will ever be made just like the Shadow of the colossus soundtrack which, on many AAA lists, is always at the top next to Es4 Oblivion and SOTN. Have you ever played that by chance? And I definitely will share the hell out of this!
Yes, played it back on ps2, great atmosphere
