Most of us could do with more veggies in our diets. Fresh ways to do the same old veggies are always welcome. I stir fry a lot. Tons of veg and a bit of lean protein with a flavorful sauce. So good! Asparagus stir fried properly with a little salt and pepper is a gift from heaven. So crisp and tender. Not mooshy. Who wants limp, mooshy asparagus? Keeps it's bright green color, too. It's 9 am and I'm making myself so hungry!

I think I will try them with a little "Red Bell Pepper" dipping sauce on the side, OR pureed "Spinach Sauce" on the side. I don't want pasta sauce and I don't want cheese either. Heat up nuts in a pan with sugar and a bit of water and let the sugar caramelize with low temperature. Afterwards separate them on a tray to let them cool down. Otherwise they would stick together. In Germany they are eaten as snack in the winter, being sold on every street corner. You could also add some cinnamon or other Christmas species. For the recipe they shred those nuts. Look for „karamellisierte Nüsse“ or „gebrannte Mandeln“ on UA-cam.
Gerade nachgemacht. Habe einen leichten Kreuterdip dazu gemacht. Die Kartoffeln habe ich weg gelassen. Das "Blumenkohl-Schnitzel" war sehr lecker. Kann man auch sehr gut am nächsten Tag kalt essen.

Delicious! I used Panko bread crumbs to give it texture for the coating. What an amazing, simple dish. I made a sauce for them from Mayo, Honey Mustard, and Hot Sauce which really added a depth to the flavor palette. Reminds me of Maryland Style Crab Cakes. I'm going to try adding Crab Meat to the next batch. I also flipped them over for the last ten minutes to let them brown on both sides. The crispy exterior counterpoints the creamy interior for an awesome mouth feel. Used a convection oven, but I bet they'd be great in an air fryer as well. And obviously a conventional oven works well. All in all, a very versatile recipe.
Thanks for a sauce idea. Your mention of crab cakes gave me the idea to make a sauce with mayo and Old Bay seasoning to make it seem even more like a crab cake (or maybe add some Old Bay to the cakes).

Ich habe das Rezept heute ausprobiert. Die Frikadellen schmecken gut. Allerdings ist die Panade bei mir nach 40 Minuten Backzeit an manchen Stellen noch gar nicht gebräunt gewesen und richtig kross war sie auch nicht. Ich denke es wäre besser die Frikadellen in der Pfanne zu braten und schneller würde es sicher auch gehen. Mich hat die weiche, breiige Konsistenz, im Inneren der Frikadellen, beim Essen etwas irritiert. Ich hätte mehr Bissfestigkeit erwartet. Zum Glück habe ich Salat dazu gemacht und keinen Kartoffelbrei , so war wenigstens was zum Kauen dabei 😄. Ich habe noch kleingeschnittene Chili und getrocknete Tomaten in Öl dazu gegeben. Das hat farblich noch etwas Abwechslung rein gebracht. Ich habe 8 Frikadellen aus einem großen Blumenkohl raus bekommen. 4 werde ich einfrieren. Ich hoffe sie schmecken danach noch.
Sieht sehr lecker aus, werde ich probieren - vielleicht aber mit Brokkoli. Kandierte Nuß ist übrigens Muskatnuß, wenn ich das richtig interpretiert habe.
