I miss Chuck and his music as it put a big void in the music he produced. Met Chuck many times at Sculler's Jazz Club in the Boston area and was such a wonderful musician plus a better human being. May Chuck the Legend and his music live forever 🙏 ❤️
RIP Chuck Loeb. You'll live forever in my CD library. Another epic concert video all Loeb lovers shouldn't miss is Fourplay - Live in Tokyo with Bob James, Harvey Mason and Nathan East.

Chuck Loeb was simply one of the best Jazz musicians out there. When Chuck Loeb passed away I got really depressed. Thank God he left us some really amazing Jazz records and these fantastic Live concert footage like this at The FireHouse Cafe. I mean what a amazing show this really is. May Chuck Loeb rest in peace. Amen.
It's so said for Chuck to leave us. He was awesome and will always be. I can listen to him all day. I have a 7.1 Denon amp, with atmos sound, surround with Boss speakers. It feels like I'm their at the concert. Man this sound awesome. I really miss him. I play jazz Flute also.
I bet that is great. If you haven't done so, get an HD wall projector and use flat white paint for your wall. You want that 8 - 10 foot wide image. You'll never, ever go back! And your friends won't want to leave.
I had the great pleasure of playing a couple of gigs with Chuck back in 96 or 97. I was the drummer in Nelson Rangel's band at the time and backed up Chuck at this jazz fest in Breckenridge Colorado. He had recently released an album that had a tune that got a grammy. Mel Brown was on bass. I actually filmed it. Great player and great guy. He will be missed.
I discovered Chuck right before he died, his music helps me relax. My favorite track is Of The Moon, I first heard it in a department store in the mall and ever since I got hooked on smooth jazz.
Love this... Wow ... What a magnificent performance. How I love it all. it is very gratifying to watch and feel the music that comes from the heart ... Gratitude. Wili from Brazil
It's hard to believe that this 'smooth jazz' genre music is supposedly slowly dying. Of course listening to this Firehouse Cafe deli is so amazing in itself but each instrument can evoke such feeling and passion, which is what the world need more of to bring together.
A lot of the purveyors of this genre of music of course are passing on to the great abyss.....Chuck here being a giant among them. But, heck, we lost Joey Di...., the prodigy Hammond B3 jazz and smooth jazz artist, the Chicago area guitarist Nick Colionne earlier this year, recently Chicago's very own, Ramsey Lewis, and on and on. But, to your point about smooth jazz dying.....I have been trying to decipher what Watercolors station on Sirius XM is trying to achieve by knocking off the terminology "smooth jazz" and instead referring to the artists/music they play as "C-Jazz" or contemporary jazz. We get up one day and must put down the term smooth jazz? It's still smooth jazz but they insist on calling it contemporary jazz. Maybe better to refer it to as "more accessible" or "less abstract" jazz. It isn't Miles Davis or Dave Brubeck, but God, it has every reason to carry forward the smooth jazz mantle.....since so many in my generation grew up on this material from the 80's through today, about 35-40 years. It was a fitting description and still is. But, folks, enjoy your Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour, David Benoit, Larry Carlton, Bob James, Nathan East, Harvey Mason et al. These men are among the senior, senior citizens of the smooth jazz genre.
I think that this genre doesn't work anymore because only musicians who played previously serious jazz, are able to do interesting things in this genre. If you have in your hands the attitude to chords change and The stantdars, you can't say something really interesting. If you play only this genre what you do is less interesting when not boring. Today there is less people who can play over changes.

Chuck Loeb: like always taking the Jazz to another whole new level.🎼 Probably I have a Hart attack with just only the first song, when the gig finished probably I'm Dead!! God let me at least see it until finished. LOL!!
Chuck Loeb, one of the great guitarist of his age. He will be missed. I was lucky enough to see him twice when he came here to Barcelona with his guartet and at the nearby Terrassa Jazz Festival with Metro. Both wonderful concerts.
I heard Mr. Loeb more than a decade ago. He was one of my inspirations. What caught my attention first were those great tunes that he wrote; all were different and catchy but still had his unique fingerprint (no pun intended). Next was his improvisation; he was on it! I was lucky to see him live several times, and he did not disappoint. So sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences go out to his family.
