E46 M3 (S54) Intake & Idle Control Valve Maintenance + Replacing TPS's

  • Today's Video is more of a tutorial but of course I had to throw in some backroad runs in the end!
    I'll be diving into the depths of my engine bay today by taking apart the whole intake assembly in order to clean the ITB's (Independent throttle bodies) and the ICV (Idle Control Valve). Being as everything will be out of the way this would also be a great time to replace your TPS's (Throttle Position Sensor).
    Which I will be showing you guys all of the above in today's video... enjoy :)

    Thanks for the video. What is your normal idle speed at normal operating temperature? Thanks!

      Idle is about 800rpm id say once warmed up and if im not ripping on it the oil temp stays at about 190ish but hard driving it’ll be about 210, maybe even a bit above, im pretty sure the absolute limit for the S54 is 250.

      Still great, just hit 80k miles

      @@xXGunnerJBXx sold mine a few months back at 150k miles and it was still driving like new.
