It didn't surprise me because unfortunately, I saw spoilers that it was her before watching the movie. Billy's mother in Scream 2 was the most shocking to me, I was sure it would be Derek lolol
100% I loved it from the moment it came out, but I do know it got a lot of hate because people didn't see her Motives as remotely possible and now people are like yep anything to be famous.

@@razorblademisery Honestly, the only real surprises this series had as far as the killer reveals were 1) the killer actually being two killers in the first one, 2) one of the killers being “the new protagonist” in the fourth one, and 3) there being more than 2 killers in the sixth one. Having three killers was a nice change of pace, and the pacing and set pieces in that movie were great.

While she was a great ghostface, I wouldn’t put her as my number 1 only because she did so much just to talk too much and get caught in the hospital! She was so close.
I would almost insist that Roman was the best! He killed nearly everyone, and even tricked them to thinking he was dead so that they’d never suspect him. Plus, the voice changer was indeed unrealistic, but he was smart to use that as a way to confuse everyone. & He didn’t need anybody to help him do anything considering he’s the only solo ghostface! Just my personal opinion though lol

There was an anthology series (possibly Tales from the Dark Side) where an ep had a monster that came out from beneath the bed of a kid. It would say I am the Shadow Man and I will not harm the one whose bed I live under. And the kid uses that to his advantage as other kids get "got" by the Shadow Man. Confident in his invulnerability he goes out one night to show the other kids how brave he is. He gets cornered by the monster. He protests that the monster promised not to hurt him. The last lines from the ep is "I am the Shadow Man. I will not harm the one whose be I live under. BUT I am the Shadow Man from under SOMEONE ELSE"s Bed," Sent chills up my spine.
When Jill threw herself through the glass table I SCREAMEDDD, no pun intended, because I couldn’t stop laughing. It has to be one of the best scenes in the scream franchise
Emma roberts ate this role up. She was so believable as a psychotic person in this movie. The writing for her character was done so well and even her little one liners are greats. The self injury scene is one of the most iconic scenes to come from this franchise
I love Scream 4. I really wish they didn’t take out the great deleted scenes though. It really pushed that this is a remake of the original. I do love Jill’s line in the hospital though “this wasn’t meant to be the ending” Because it wasn’t, it was because the studio demanded it.
The fact this movie was a failure baffles me it’s so fuckin good and it was ahead of it’s time. Especially the motive of Jill one of my favorite killers so relevant to todays times and she was the closest to killing Sidney/getting away with it. I love that ghostface is so angry in this movie like the phone calls were so good in this movie with my favorite being Sidney’s first call in the movie telling her he was gonna slit her eyelids like oof.

@@BrandonJames2016 a sequel was planned, but the studios wanted to hold off on it because they wanted to pursue the idea of a tv series. MTV was very popular at the time. Then shortly after Wes Craven died and let’s not forget the drama with the Weisteins all happening at once. People keep trying to say S4 was a flop when it wasn’t. So much happened. Beyond the mask channel literally gave deep info why people like you are wrong and went into critical details ✌🏽

Scream 4 was the most thrilling theater experience! It was 11 years after the last one, the theater was PACKED, and every single moment landed with the audience. We all went WILD when Sid said, "You forgot the first rule about remakes, Jill: Don't fuck with the original." I'll never forget it!

Kirby survives the events of Scream 4 because Wes Craven originally said in a Tweet that he thought she would have survived because she is moving on the ground when they cut away. There also is an easter egg telling the audience that Kirby Reed lived in Scream 5. Plus she's a fan favorite.

With the cops being two blocks away, the killer put their bodies in the car and drove them down the road 2 blocks away from the house so they wouldn’t be discovered by Kate or anybody else near by. I remember going to see this in theaters and everyone went WILD at Jill’s reveal! It was amazing!

Fun fact: in of the deleted scenes where Olivia gets attacked and Jill asks Sidney if she wants to get her wound taken care of, Jill’s mom is seen so hysterical because she drank some wine and passed out. Scream 4 is the best scream movie. The best motive and the best killer reveal. Not just that but ghostface was much more verbal and menacing. The kills are more rememberable. It’s literally the best take on remakes in Hollywood. They had an idea and went for it and it works. To add icing to it they gave us an alternate ending.
Have to disagree on the motive, it's clever but it's not the best. I'd argue Mickey and Mrs. Loomis' is the best, pure revenge and the desire to get caught showing how psycho Mickey was. Plus regardless of the 3rd film overall, Roman was Sid's half brother wanting revenge for being cast aside. I'd argue those are better motives even if Jill has the better reveal.

I think it is second best after the first. While I liked 5 well enough I felt Jill had a much better motive and I could believe she'd do what she did. I was especially impressed with her commitment including stabbing herself ripping her own hair out and jumping on a glass table. THe 5 villains were lame in comparison. Not sure how I feel about the 6 villains yet but I don't think they compare to my Jill admiration.
I remember watching this with my family when it came out and walking out to the parking lot after the movie ended, late at night…my phone rang and we all screamed! 💀 Scream 4 will always be a personal fave.
jill is one of my favorite ghostfaces. emma roberts really gave it her all in the final act and i really enjoyed her performance. there’s a theory that jill is still alive and i definitely think there’s a decent chance, i found it weird how the movie ends immediately after she dies and because neither of her injuries were necessarily fatal, especially considering she would have immediate access to getting medical help.

that last shot with the news reporters outside not knowing that jill was behind this the entire time followed by a shot of her lifeless face will always be so chilling to me.
I remember when the pay per view version of Scream 4 came out it had all this different and extra dialogue (no extra scenes)... it was so weird and it was a big thing to us fans. In Europe we got the pay per view audio and US got the theatrical audio on bluray. They should never have deleted so many scenes though. The Jenny and Marnie crimescene was absolutely SICK. The actresses who played Marnie and Sidney's aunt didn't turn up to the premiere cause they were pissed that they were almost completely cut out. 35:10 Mary McDonnell - Aunt Kate had 5 of her 7 scenes removed, so the "tell Jill I'm sorry" could be linked to one of those scenes... In one deleted scene that took place after Olivia's murder she was saying she was sorry to Jill and Sidney (while crying) because she was asleep on the couch during the attack. She had been drinking wine and she took a sleeping pill.

We technically don’t see Kirby “die” she starts to bleed but is still moving when Charlie walks away so it’s left to the imagination. Then in Scream 5 there is a UA-cam video shown when Richie is watching the Stab 8 video that says “interview with woodsboro survivor” and is a thumbnail of Kirby. I believe in a deleted scene for 5 too there is a poster at the police station with a missing person and the sketch is of Kirby. Such a geek for this franchise and I’m so happy she’s back!!!
Yes you heard correctly Kirby is in Scream VI. Another rule in horror movies in never assume someone is dead if you don’t see the body. They showed Kirby bleeding and make a slight movement before going to next scene. They didnt actually show her die. I’m glad they didn’t kill her. Kirby is my favorite character in Scream 4
Kirby's wereabouts after scream 4 were unclear, although pretty much like it happened with Angelina, Wes hinted at Kirby being alive and surviving the attack. So, at the end she did survive as she appears in Scream 6 trailer like you said.

I really liked Jill throughout the film I thought she would be a great survivor until the reveal 😱. I was devastated lol but I guess it was definitely one of the biggest twist tbh. She is ranked 1st as the best ghostface killer. It use to be billy cause well he's the original mastermind but out of all the killers Jill was definitely more terrifying and the only one that almost got away with everything plus her motive was definitely the most realistic
There's also deleted scenes of Scream 4 on UA-cam as well. After Marnie and Jenny were killed, they were staged in the living room. Marnie was hung from the ceiling fan like how Casey was hung from the tree in Scream 96, and Jenny was sitting in a chair like Steve. Wes Craven also did a tiny pop-up cameo as a coroner at Marnie and Jenny's crime scene. Olivia had a pet door around her neck, and Dewey told Deputy Hicks about his sister Tatum about how she died. He came to a realization that the killer was making its own version of a remake due to how each murder was staged similar to the victums that were killed in the original. One of the other favorites I wish they kept in the movie is the whole friend group, except for Jill sitting at a fountain talking about the events similar to Scream 96. Originally, Charlie wasn't going to try to kill Sidney but Kirby may have accidentally gave him the idea of it and it made him rethink of the game plan on Sidney.

There's not always 2 killers. Part 3 had only one. Sidney's mom was dying so she probably apologized to Sidney because she knew she would be leaving her alone to take on the killer.
U last see kirby moving before the camera cuts away and Wes Craven tweeted in 2015 hinting that she’s still alive. There’s an easter egg in 5 confirming she survived
Kirby/ Hayden survived, Wes left it open so it could’ve gone either way, but they didn’t find her body and if I remember correctly I think there was blood streaks so she crawled or dragged herself away.
This one was eh on first watch but is honestly very underrated. I hate the colors in this movie and the brightness but besides that, the kills were all great, most the characters were good and Sid was so badass in it. But also, how did 2 not make sense to you on who the killers ended up being lol. One was literally a parent of a killer that Sid killed...very plausible. Then her explanation about Mickey makes it plausible as well. Way more than Jill...
Trevor was used as the same red herring as Sidneys dad was in the first movie. Trevor is even wearing the exact same outfit as Sidneys dad when he gets to Kirbys house. Jill wearing plaid was also a sign that she was the killer just like Billy in the first one

Scream 4 was wild. It's a strange movie in the series because it doesn't fit into the old or new trilogy, but personally i think this one was made by Wes Craven in order to make up for his shortcomings with Scream 3. This was the ending of the trilogy that we never deserved. It was Wes Craven's last gift to his fans. It's not easy for me to say this but this might be the perfect Scream movie. I know the original is great but it has it's flaws, where this one seems like almost everything was done right. Ghostface was scary and you never knew where he was gonna be next, Jill was set up so well to be the next Sidney, which only makes the twist at the end better. Not to mention this one has more kills than most if not all of the others.
I said the same thing about the Stab 6 movie, "Is that Sidney's house?". I think the outside looks like it more that the inside. The inside looks more like Casey's house.
I like to think Kate saying sorry is because she had nothing to do with Sidney when she was growing up, and that she might have left Woodsboro after Maureen's murder and feels as though she abandoned Sidney in her time of need. And hadn't contacted her in years.

Another fun fact for you, in the way then commented that the first stab is all about Sydney's life and then later she threatened to sue if they kept making films about her. Well scream was actually based on true events. Even more interesting, that every film that Wes Craven has made, is based on true events. You can find interviews with Wes Craven talking about this and even old news articles about the events. Which to me is what makes this even scarier, it's realistic, it's a human being. It's not some evil monster that's fantasy. Speaking of which, even Freddy Krueger was based on actual events.
Interesting, so you think a crazy mother going on a killing spree to get revenge for her dead son and for her ruined marriage makes less sense than a crazy, jealous cousin going on a killing spree to become famous? I do think Jill's motivation is more entertaining to watch, but I think Mrs. Loomis' motivation seems a bit more plausible.

The first 2 SAW films are definitely worth watching. They aren't torture porn, they have pretty good cop investigation stories while also being thrillers. 6 is also pretty good but you'd have to sit through the rest to know what was going on.
For me it´s scream - scream 5 and scream 4, scream two and scream 3. The last scream is quite good and it was the first time that I actually felt scared
4 is my favorite too and Jill is literally Billy and Stu type of level of Ghostface she was so good in the role. Scream 2 did make sense tho well at least when it came to Billy's mom cuz Sid basically did kill Billy eventhough Gale truly did that but 2 was a revenge story.
Dewey pisses me off so much in this one. I feel like he's so disrespectful to Gale. He had no problem with her helping back when he was a deputy, but now that he's a sheriff she can't help for some reason? L.A. Detective Kincade thought she was valuable enough to help with his investigation in the 3rd movie, but small town sheriff Dewey doesn't need her help? Even though she's helped with similar situations three times!?! That irritates me, and Deputy Judy needs to back off. If i were Gale, I'd have clocked her overstepping ass. I wanted her to die so bad in this movie.

So I believe Jill’s mom said “Tell Jill I’m so sorry because maybe she didn’t think she was a good mother!”
Scream 4 is the best scream movie. The best motive and the best killer reveal. Not just that but ghostface was much more verbal and menacing. The kills are more rememberable. It’s literally the best take on remakes in Hollywood. They had an idea and went for it and it works. To add icing to it they gave us an alternate ending.

Have to disagree on the motive, it's clever but it's not the best. I'd argue Mickey and Mrs. Loomis' is the best, pure revenge and the desire to get caught showing how psycho Mickey was. Plus regardless of the 3rd film overall, Roman was Sid's half brother wanting revenge for being cast aside. I'd argue those are better motives even if Jill has the better reveal.

I think it is second best after the first. While I liked 5 well enough I felt Jill had a much better motive and I could believe she'd do what she did. I was especially impressed with her commitment including stabbing herself ripping her own hair out and jumping on a glass table. THe 5 villains were lame in comparison. Not sure how I feel about the 6 villains yet but I don't think they compare to my Jill admiration.
I remember watching this with my family when it came out and walking out to the parking lot after the movie ended, late at night…my phone rang and we all screamed! 💀 Scream 4 will always be a personal fave.

jill is one of my favorite ghostfaces. emma roberts really gave it her all in the final act and i really enjoyed her performance. there’s a theory that jill is still alive and i definitely think there’s a decent chance, i found it weird how the movie ends immediately after she dies and because neither of her injuries were necessarily fatal, especially considering she would have immediate access to getting medical help.
Jill is my least favorite ghostface.🤣

I remember when the pay per view version of Scream 4 came out it had all this different and extra dialogue (no extra scenes)... it was so weird and it was a big thing to us fans. In Europe we got the pay per view audio and US got the theatrical audio on bluray.
They should never have deleted so many scenes though. The Jenny and Marnie crimescene was absolutely SICK. The actresses who played Marnie and Sidney's aunt didn't turn up to the premiere cause they were pissed that they were almost completely cut out.
35:10 Mary McDonnell - Aunt Kate had 5 of her 7 scenes removed, so the "tell Jill I'm sorry" could be linked to one of those scenes... In one deleted scene that took place after Olivia's murder she was saying she was sorry to Jill and Sidney (while crying) because she was asleep on the couch during the attack. She had been drinking wine and she took a sleeping pill.

We technically don’t see Kirby “die” she starts to bleed but is still moving when Charlie walks away so it’s left to the imagination. Then in Scream 5 there is a UA-cam video shown when Richie is watching the Stab 8 video that says “interview with woodsboro survivor” and is a thumbnail of Kirby. I believe in a deleted scene for 5 too there is a poster at the police station with a missing person and the sketch is of Kirby. Such a geek for this franchise and I’m so happy she’s back!!!

Yes you heard correctly Kirby is in Scream VI. Another rule in horror movies in never assume someone is dead if you don’t see the body. They showed Kirby bleeding and make a slight movement before going to next scene. They didnt actually show her die. I’m glad they didn’t kill her. Kirby is my favorite character in Scream 4

Kirby's wereabouts after scream 4 were unclear, although pretty much like it happened with Angelina, Wes hinted at Kirby being alive and surviving the attack. So, at the end she did survive as she appears in Scream 6 trailer like you said.

I really liked Jill throughout the film I thought she would be a great survivor until the reveal 😱. I was devastated lol but I guess it was definitely one of the biggest twist tbh.
She is ranked 1st as the best ghostface killer. It use to be billy cause well he's the original mastermind but out of all the killers Jill was definitely more terrifying and the only one that almost got away with everything plus her motive was definitely the most realistic

There's also deleted scenes of Scream 4 on UA-cam as well. After Marnie and Jenny were killed, they were staged in the living room. Marnie was hung from the ceiling fan like how Casey was hung from the tree in Scream 96, and Jenny was sitting in a chair like Steve. Wes Craven also did a tiny pop-up cameo as a coroner at Marnie and Jenny's crime scene. Olivia had a pet door around her neck, and Dewey told Deputy Hicks about his sister Tatum about how she died. He came to a realization that the killer was making its own version of a remake due to how each murder was staged similar to the victums that were killed in the original. One of the other favorites I wish they kept in the movie is the whole friend group, except for Jill sitting at a fountain talking about the events similar to Scream 96. Originally, Charlie wasn't going to try to kill Sidney but Kirby may have accidentally gave him the idea of it and it made him rethink of the game plan on Sidney.

There's not always 2 killers. Part 3 had only one. Sidney's mom was dying so she probably apologized to Sidney because she knew she would be leaving her alone to take on the killer.
In the commentary, Wes said it was in Hayden's contract she not die onscreen. So Kirby was just left for dead.
U last see kirby moving before the camera cuts away and Wes Craven tweeted in 2015 hinting that she’s still alive. There’s an easter egg in 5 confirming she survived
Kirby/ Hayden survived, Wes left it open so it could’ve gone either way, but they didn’t find her body and if I remember correctly I think there was blood streaks so she crawled or dragged herself away.
This one was eh on first watch but is honestly very underrated. I hate the colors in this movie and the brightness but besides that, the kills were all great, most the characters were good and Sid was so badass in it.
But also, how did 2 not make sense to you on who the killers ended up being lol. One was literally a parent of a killer that Sid killed...very plausible. Then her explanation about Mickey makes it plausible as well. Way more than Jill...
Trevor was used as the same red herring as Sidneys dad was in the first movie. Trevor is even wearing the exact same outfit as Sidneys dad when he gets to Kirbys house. Jill wearing plaid was also a sign that she was the killer just like Billy in the first one

Scream 4 was wild. It's a strange movie in the series because it doesn't fit into the old or new trilogy, but personally i think this one was made by Wes Craven in order to make up for his shortcomings with Scream 3. This was the ending of the trilogy that we never deserved. It was Wes Craven's last gift to his fans. It's not easy for me to say this but this might be the perfect Scream movie. I know the original is great but it has it's flaws, where this one seems like almost everything was done right. Ghostface was scary and you never knew where he was gonna be next, Jill was set up so well to be the next Sidney, which only makes the twist at the end better. Not to mention this one has more kills than most if not all of the others.

in the original ending of scream 4 - Jill was supposed to get away with it, and in the 5th Scream, someone is trying to kill Jill because they know what she did.
Another fun fact for you, in the way then commented that the first stab is all about Sydney's life and then later she threatened to sue if they kept making films about her. Well scream was actually based on true events. Even more interesting, that every film that Wes Craven has made, is based on true events. You can find interviews with Wes Craven talking about this and even old news articles about the events. Which to me is what makes this even scarier, it's realistic, it's a human being. It's not some evil monster that's fantasy. Speaking of which, even Freddy Krueger was based on actual events.
Interesting, so you think a crazy mother going on a killing spree to get revenge for her dead son and for her ruined marriage makes less sense than a crazy, jealous cousin going on a killing spree to become famous?
I do think Jill's motivation is more entertaining to watch, but I think Mrs. Loomis' motivation seems a bit more plausible.

The first 2 SAW films are definitely worth watching. They aren't torture porn, they have pretty good cop investigation stories while also being thrillers. 6 is also pretty good but you'd have to sit through the rest to know what was going on.
For me it´s scream - scream 5 and scream 4, scream two and scream 3. The last scream is quite good and it was the first time that I actually felt scared
4 is my favorite too and Jill is literally Billy and Stu type of level of Ghostface she was so good in the role. Scream 2 did make sense tho well at least when it came to Billy's mom cuz Sid basically did kill Billy eventhough Gale truly did that but 2 was a revenge story.
Gale saved Sidney in the first movie, but Sidney's the one who actually killed Billy.

Dewey pisses me off so much in this one. I feel like he's so disrespectful to Gale. He had no problem with her helping back when he was a deputy, but now that he's a sheriff she can't help for some reason? L.A. Detective Kincade thought she was valuable enough to help with his investigation in the 3rd movie, but small town sheriff Dewey doesn't need her help? Even though she's helped with similar situations three times!?!
That irritates me, and Deputy Judy needs to back off. If i were Gale, I'd have clocked her overstepping ass. I wanted her to die so bad in this movie.
