- I just bought a new rangefinder Camera “Canon L3” with Canon 50mm F1.4 LTM lenses from 1957. It’s stay around 60 years old and I’m curious does it still work and how the image look like. Stay till the end guys
Hi, my L2 arrived yesterday from Japan, almost mint, cant wait to get out there with it, well done only having the two film cameras, Ive been collecting film cameras for years, especially when everything went digital I was getting them given me. It got to the point where I had about 140 cameras, some on display, some I used but most just collected. I decided about six months ago to sell 120 of them and use the money to buy four or five cameras Ive always wanted but couldn't justify. So my collection is almost sold and Ive bought some lovely cameras. I agree the sound of the shutter on the L2/L3 is lovely and quiet and the whole camera is engineered beautifully. Keep up the good videos, thanks
Amazing you are really a true camera collector, Hope your L2 performs its best for you 🫡
Hello Chang. Nice video. Don’t leave your lovely rangefinder in the sun, without the lens hood. The sun will damage the shutter curtains, since the lens will act as a magnifying glass.
Rangefinders are more vulnerable than slr’s, where the mirror project the curtains from the sun.
Blessings from a 64 year old photographer from Denmark.
❤❤❤
Yes sir , Thank you so much for this tips. I’ll take care of it in the next shots 🙏
Mine is coming next week 😊 Bought it from a seller in Japan on ebay. Barely can wait!
Then we are the same 😅, from eBay I also bought original lense hood too , almost 2 months to get all pieces together 😁
I think the camera is capable of shooting any speed of film as the asa dial is just as a reminder of the film inside. There’s no internal light meter so it can’t differentiate between 100 or 800 speed film. Just gotta make sure you meter appropriately 🙂
Unfortunately I never try any speed film more than 400 asa because the asa of the camera show the maximum number 400 I think at that time maybe not many high speed film available or this camera was a cheaper version.
It is such a beautiful camera. Didn´t know that it existed but now I wanna buy it :D
It’s like 99% working condition and I believe someone take care of it well 😁
just found one with a metal shutter curtain in pretty much flawless condition.
That’s cool , mine is cloth shutter and have some mold inside viewfinder but still working great
@@ChhangHuor tomorrow have the 50mm f1.4 coming in mail 💪
@@AlbertKarhuFilms wow you got Japanese summilux too, love that lense 🫡
3 moths with GAS and having only 2 cameras? Thats is still very reasonable, especially as those cameras are not used similarly.
Also the scans seem to be very bleached (not talking about the C41). How was the scanning done?
I promised myself not to buy more camera but I’m still want more camera. It might not call GAS , by the way this film use ECN2 process and I think they scan the image with scanner not digital camera. I’m not sure which scanner they used
Hey! I'm currently in battambang. I'm wondering where you buy film and get it developed in Cambodia?
Check out “alolab” on Instagram, he sell motion film also dev&scan in Phnom Penh.
