Love the footprint, paw prints would be fab I think. I have done the water drop effect with coins instead of fish. Absolutely love the fish!
Coins - like a wishing well. Great idea. Loose Screws have done a video on paw prints, you;re right, they are fab
So very cool. Maybe try like brown or bronze mica on the feet. When you walk in wet sand the print is darker. Great video thank you.. hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙

I absolutely love how the raindrop effect is exploding with other ideas. These all turned out amazingly. I thing the footprints in the sand definitely could use a mica color to make it stand out more, would be cool. Also, I think you could top it off with the footprints in the sand with the poem or a label titled “Footprints in the sand”.
Even better, I have already texted my kids to outline my grandchildren’s feet, so I can print out a copy to trace with the UV resin. Thank you for sharing.
Great idea! I have already got a video when I get time to edit it darkening the footprints. But the motto on it too - great idea, I hadn't thought of that!

I have found that printing (or drawing) a picture of what I need to “draw” with the resin and placing it under my mold works well to help me guide my designs

Fun demo, Tracey! Glad you're trying Loose Screw's Footprint in the Sand idea. 😊👍 It worked rather well! Yes, A bit of some brown mica on the feet should work a treat. 👍
I discovered that if I want my sand to dry really white, I have to use white resin dye/tint (not alcohol ink) *and* white PVA school glue (Elmer's, in the US). If I want it to look darker, then I just mix the sand in resin and it turns quite dark as you know, even if it's a fairly light beige sand. That was pretty funny watching those huge air bubbles blorting up out of the sand. 😆

Thanks. Yes I've done all the whitening effects on sand but to be honest - you can buy sand in any colour so I go the lazy route lol

That footprint came out so good! I looks just like an impression in the sand, fantastic work! I'm so happy you tried it : ) With my first attempt to do the footprint my UV resin didn't cure fully either, must not have given it enough blast from the lamp, but thank you for sharing that, I felt like I'd done something quite wrong.
I absolutely love the pond layers, that's a wonderful technique! The blue shimmer on that is so eye catching.

Adorable! Maybe if you dust the footprints darker than the sand? You know like what it would look like in real life? They would stand out better. Don't cure the dots fully so they are tacky enough for the mica to stick. Just a thought. Idk if it would work or not. Great ideas you come up with!!!❤

I was just thinking if you wanted to make a larger baby foot print, you could print a picture of one and slid it under the molds and trace them.

yes I will when I have time :) I'm having to make them fast in between videos as they are selling fast from my ebay shop at the moment - faster than i can make them :)

The fishpond is adorable. Love the colours! About the footprints....if you are going to use them as coasters, could you not rub a tiny bit of the mica powder directly on top of the footprint, and then place a coat of resin over them as a top coat rather than putting another layer of the resin onto the bottom?

Yes you can! Just have to use a thicker resin - let it stand a little to thicken it up - and wait several hours till it's at least part cured between layers

What if you lightly tint the uv resin so each layer gets a little darker as it goes down or up making the drop look deeper
Yes that would work :) I do that when I make actual ponds :)
Where do you get your fish from please? I can never find what I'm looking for with fish or sea creatures, they're either huge decals for the wall or fish with a boarder 🤦 it's driving me bonkers 🤯
