Here's a video of how to create some stunning Jewelry with Abalone shell, I think these turned out absolutely stunning and catch the light beautifully! They are really easy to make too!

Hello Daniel, I love your videos so much. So I have a happy accident to share with you. While drilling a hole in a piece, pressed to hard and snapped off the tip of my drill bit. Since I am lazy and had no more drill bits, I continued to use it. Eureka!!!! Now I snap off all my drill bits. When broken they grab in beautifully and never slip off. I can even use the broken bits in my electric driller. The holes are perfect every time. Give it a try. Game changer ❤
Oh no, I have had this happen to me a few times, it's so hard to get the broken bits out isn't it! Yes, they are much sharper once broken, I will try with my broken ones I have kept 😊 thanks for the tip Penny 😊

I have some abalone shells that are cracked and broken that would be perfect for this!
Love abalone! These are great. I've been doing this for awhile and have even made a tic tac toe set and a domino set using abalone but with regular resin. I love the unusual colors in your set.

Been doing pieces like that for years, I was introduced to this method by Japanese resin artists which are so top-notch and ground-breaking on their techniques that they make US resin artists look like kindergartners. Start following some Japanese resin artists and you'll up your game tremendously and never turn back!

Love these, i just received 3 different colours of abalone shell from temu so gonna have a go at this the weekend.
Stunning pieces! If you're ever worried about bubbles when placing inclusions like abalone, just dip the bits in the uv resin before you place into your mould that already contains uncured resin. You didn't seem to have a problem, but just a lil tip to store in the noggin for future use xxx
I do that with flowers. I actually put them in my resin in a cup then debubble everything.

I like the abalone shell. My dad bought me a gold tone watch with an abalone face when I turned 16. I've liked it ever since. Wore that watch til it broke.😊
Very nice, I love the diamond shaped bead. I have made pendants out of polymer clay and resin with abalone, i have other ideas, I have plenty of abalone. You don’t get much but it goes far, I love your videos

It would be cool if you use regular resin and let it sit up a bit the push the pieces in. You can take advantage of the curves in the mold. Give it more movement.

Are the chips for nail art? Other creators have ordered from nail art companies because it’s cheaper. Apparently, putting “for resin” adds a good bit to the price.

I got an aprox 10oz/283g or so size bag of blue abalone shell pieces at a major box store in the Craft/faux flowers/fabric section for pretty cheap, don't really remember but I think under $10 U S?
