It is amazing what animals can sense. My little doggy licks my knees when they ache. He can smell something and knows. Then, he tries to make it feel better.
Years ago my old nanny goat sniffed my face when the novocain wore off after having a broken molar removed. She rubbed her fuzzy nose on my arm and very quietly said, "Ma-ma!" (She picked that up by hearing my kids say it.) She knew I was hurting and did her best to comfort me. Brownie left us a long time ago, but I still miss her, a LOT!
so many folks brag, “ I was involved in horses when I was Three!!” 👶🏼….. your child will be able to brag , “ I was a Fetus!!!!” ☺️🥰🐴🥰 #ItBegins!! #Horses!!
Like I always say, animals just know. You have helped Rudnik come such a very long way from when you adopted him. He’s as happy as he’s ever been. Now, he’s watching over you and your expected little one with as much devotion and care. He is magnificent.
horses are so crazy intelligent. i'm really young and my knees started bothering me for some reason, i was sitting in his stall and he bent down to check out my knees for a minute like he was looking for something. i still don't know why my knees were bothering me, but it's crazy to me that he knew.
They do know! I had a friend who had a Tennessee Walker and I brought apples out to him. He was NOT interested in the apples as much as he was my belly... It was so cute because he was a big boy and he was so gentle and snuffling around as if to say, "Hey buddy!" That was over 40 years ago, and I still have that memory!
Several years ago, I went to visit my daughter in Michigan for the weekend. At the end of my stay, I noticed their black lab had begun to get more protective of my daughter. They'd told me they were trying for a child already. When I started chuckling, they asked why. I said, "You're pregnant. Congratulations." Then I had to explain why their dog was acting so strange. Two weeks after I got home, she called me and said, "You were right. I thought our dog was just being picky, but you nailed it." I don't mention the dog's name because I totally forgot about it. *Sigh* Was a good story to tell.
🎉 congratulations to your two and four legged family ❤️ What a blessing! my oldest mare also behaved radically different when I was 5 weeks pregnant. I had no idea I was, but she did! I believe horses have a heightened sense of smell and pheromones caused her to behave differently around me.
That's part of the beauty of biology, he knew you smelled differently and his biology told him to look after his family. I love him nudging your belly, "Hey, Sprout! Can't wait to see ya!" Congrats!!
That is the sweetest story! He is very attentive! When my granddtr was pregnant, her female Australian shepherd loved to smell and lick her belly. After the baby came, she smelled once then never again. She loves that little boy and stays by him constantly
Congratulations!! How exciting. It's the hormone changes... but he even recognized it in a different species! So aware. And he won't have to wait over a year like in horses!!
So Amazing !!!! 🐴 He already knew you were carrying a new life form inside you 🥰👍 . I love that years from now , your child will see this video . “ It Begins “ 😍👍🐴
How sweet! 💖🐴 We are mammals and share many characteristics. His ability to discern your condition is an important part of his being a horse. We are all from the same tree.
I have always thought/said that we humans have not given these majestic beautiful creatures the credit they deserve - they helped build many nations (i.e.America) in past history - and paid a huge price along the way.
Congratulations! Yes, Dogs, cats, horses and donkeys, all have been human companions for thousands of years, and indeed seem to be able to sense/smell changes in their human's condition whether good or bad. It can be very humbling and gratifying to experience that bond. Hope all goes well for you.
How wonderful! Congrats! Yes our pets sense our body condition way before we have any idea that something's changed. This is how people can have assistance and service dogs.
🥰 your his hooman. He loves you very much. He is a smart boy and will protect you. When I was pregnant with my son my dog knew and would not let unknown people near me. Congrats on the wee one. :)
Animals are lots more sensitive than we notice. I have a pitbull that wouldn't leave my pregnant daughter alone one day. Followed her every step. She went into labor that night. I had a cat years ago that wanted to sleep with me when I had the flu. My horses always knew when I wasn't in a good mood. Without me saying a word they just kept their distance
Went on a trail ride about 10 yrs ago, horse wouldn't break a walk and was glide walking. She said it never did it before, smacked the rump, tried pulling.. nothing. Granted was incredibly fatigued but took years for doctors to recognize the neuromuscular disease.
That was amazing to see him follow you around. He needed/wanted to be right by your side...and not even a few feet away. I am not a horse person but I love learning about them.. They are still a mystery to me. It must be a wonderful experience to have a horse like him.
Congrats on the future new addition. Animals know a lot more than what some people give credit too. They can also figure out in people who is good and bad pretty much from a first meeting. They just have that sense. Unfortunately, many are abused and mistreated.
@@RoSaWa386-33 they’re probably quite similar to their own pheromones/hormones etc, plus our body language is capable of subtle changes we’re not consciously aware of. You probably transmit that kind of information to other people without realising, too.
Some of the original birthcontrol pills were made with urine from pregnant mares. I bet that was an interesting time for a lot of horses. They are very sensitive to hormones in their own species and others.
@@CricketsBayDon’t you mean “Premarin “? Which is a hormone replacement medication( for menopause issues)made from pregnant mares urine. However, the process is torture on the tied down mares. I know many of these factories have been closed down, and some of these mares were rescued. I truly hope that ALL have be closed as it is a cruel, inhumane way to get a hormone that can be synthesized…
Congratulations! Your little one will be so blessed and protected to have Rudnik as a companion and Rudnik will have another adoring fan to shower him with love.
Years ago, on a visit, my vet was astonished when my mare persistently gently nuzzled her tummy. She had recently learned that she was pregnant. Not even showing, and hadn't even told anyone. It was amazing. She was a most special mare and partner.
Congratulations! Our animals do pick up on things for sure. We had a dog once, when a friend came over, she would lick her feet. She noticed something in her. Blessings!
I knew it from the start. Horses mules and dogs are all able to smell the scent of the hormones and sometimes they will not allow anyone to get too close to the mommy. Gods gift of creatures.
I’m never surprised but, always amazed by the shear number of beautiful and special women around the world. Enjoy, you lucky lady, from this side of the pond in erm, sunny England.🇬🇧🌦🤗
We as humans do not give the credit that all animals deserve. I trust my animals more than most people. If my dogs bark at someone and their hackles are raised, I will stay away from that person. If they run up and want pets from someone, I know that the person is probably OK.
Horses can hear your heartbeat from approximately 4 feet away. He heard two heartbeats!
More likely a hormonal scent he picked up on
@@DillerDallerDuller could be that too

Same though 🥲

Horses are very empathic. I'm sitting on the best horse I've ever had and she was a rescue
sitting on a horse, commenting on youtube videos - you’re watching videos the right way, but riding horses the wrong way
I'm imagining all the horsey sniffing your brand new little one will endure when they meet. Gonna be a very sacred event in your lives. Bless you all!
All animals are smarter than people give them credit for.

Their sense of smell is amazing! He knew something was different. 😊
He did! Long before a test ever picked it up 😂
He's a smart boy. He's going to be so gentle with that baby ❤
Not to be a wet blanket but he smells her hormones, not the actual baby.
He may be aggressive to the child.
