Real estate all over the world now is expensive, but Jamaica isn’t adding up with the way how the infrastructure is. You purchase a home for 1 mil USD. You have to get a generator and solar power because the electricity is unreliable and you have to get water tank to have constant running water. When you leave your property, you are driving on pothole streets. My husband and I left Jamaica a week ago and all the apartments in Kingston were going for some crazy numbers which didn’t include all the added expenses after taxes. In the end, it made more sense to just buy land.

@@Dionne-bo1oo Agree!! And for you to buy a house and pay the mortgage, it’s over $5000 USD. So even if you are here in America, sending that amount is a huge stress and financial burden, plus maintenance and other added utilities.

I love it but that’s a mansion price in the USA!! Jamaica needs to do better with price and it’s not even a smart house, no private pool, not even a car garage door, the master bedroom is not that big, for that price the master could have been the whole top floor with a wrapped around balcony. I would price this at $500,000usd

People are complaining about the price but the price has more to do with location than the house itself. Secondly, it's all about supply and demand. As long as there are people willing to pay more, the price will be more.

The kitchen is small, most of the bedrooms are small... no wow feature for that price point . Not worth it
They should build some modular tiny homes on this scale to replace all those zinc and board shacks thag human beings are dealt on the downside of life in Jamaica to live in. They should also be transportable and anchored. And what about those shipping container homes out there.

These developers are making me angry every time I see another wasted overpriced “complex”. How can they charge ppl 800-1M USD and offer D-rate appliances and fixtures??? Look at that apt-style kitchen with 2 likkle pendant lights?? There’s nothing Master about dat Master Bedroom man. The master bathroom is poorly designed too! 800K USD gets you a mansion in FL or GA with TOP of the line appliances and y’all coming with Courts fridge and stove!! Where’s the Viking and Miele?? This is no way worth almost a million US . I’m in the U.K and for that money I could get a completely detached house with land . And with my own swimming pool and pool house . I guess a drug don or politician will buy this . Not someone who is serious about property investing.

UK buildings couldn't withstand hurricane weather & an earthquake, which these properties can. Because they're regulated too. Also with an extra expense on materials + it's an island; nearly everything are expensive when you import things on any islands.

A lot of people complaining about price don't seem to understand how real estate works. It's not just Jamaica. Location matters more than square footage. This is the Corporate Area. So a unit like this would cost more than it would in Trelawny. When you buy you should think of resale. Kingston will have high demand. It doesn't rely on tourism.

Nice views but terrible house design, the floor plans is not open floor, it’s too section up, the orientation of the home makes the inside dark without much natural lighting. Not my type of home😬

As a Jamaican in Florida who's into Home renovation, etc. These Jamaican people are getting out of hand. Jamaica is no St. Croix or even Belize and homes don't sell for anything near that cost elsewhere in the region!
As a matter of fact, Dominican Republic real estate is booming and much bigger, better and a peaceful landscape than Jamaica and you could get this and another plus an apartment on a high rise for that money! IN SANTO DOMINGO!

320-400,000 US, the ceiling too low, rooms small, staircase too dark the laundry room. Need space for washer and dryer, the closet too small, especially the master walk-in and too dark.

This hilarious.😅 Almost $1MUSD for what? What views? Every house in Ja has to have these ugly grills on every window and door to keep out cut throats. If you cut yourself with a kitchen knife and are lucky enough to get to a hospital, you will probably die. Electricity and water can be cut off at any time and for no reason at all. You spend this much to live in a place where you have to prepare to revert to pre-industrial life at any time. I was born in Ja and every time I visit, I marvel at the beauty of this little gem in the Caribbean; but now, it is just a nice place to be from and to visit from time to time, just could not live there.

This property is not in Canada! The price is not in line with what they are offering in this property. Look closely at the property and you will see the cheap Chinese fixtures!
