I admit that crunchy sound as the transformation hits is brutal. Even their fighting style is different from each other’s. John’s is more visceral and animalistic while his son is more calculated and restrained. Like he’s fighting to hold back the wolf

It's really just this fight with poor SFX but the shot composition of it is, in my opinion, superior. It just flows better than it does here, in the final cut. Many thanks!

I didn't upload the extended version, because I thought it's the exact thing.... but probably you are right and it seems extended fight is a bit better.... Regards
Maybe this should have been called the alpha male scene. I'm a little surprised the other werewolf died, I thought only silver could kill them and they recover from anything else like in Monster Squad.
Even though the werewolf look like trash these are what movie werewolves should be brutal and better looking but the point is these werewolves might look pretty bad but everything else about them this spot on but I still understand how a younger less experience wolf was able to beat an older one more experience but you know plot
there is always explanation, when I read scripts or/and directors side for different movies.... it's always amazing how they see things, and there are in many cases deeper meanings etc.... while many viewers won't get or wouldn't think about, but directors are like artists create things not many people would understand without explanation....
