This movie deserves a better recognition than it has, it’s scary, the werewolf is extremely well-made, and it gives us the same ambience and story of the original film of 1941, but with more details to it.
Underrated film imo. The original is still an all time classic and my favorite werewolf film but this remake nailed the tone and atmosphere I wanted from it along with giving us some brutal wolfman carnage!!
Rick Baker did an awesome job of the makeup design for the Wolfman. The gypsy camp attack reminds me of the Jungle Book 1994 when Shere Khan attack the British military camp.
I know this movie had a troubled production, and it was not well received. What is someone who grew up watching the originals with my father I absolutely adore this remake. Rick Baker did an amazing job on the design of the werewolf and the cast was all top notch in my opinion
If you like this movie and Benecio Del Toro, then you'd wanna check out the stern interview he did. It touches base on this movie, as well as his other work, such as fear and loathing, and how extreme he took his acting, in regards to method acting as an approach.
This was a great movie, one one thing I didn't like about it. And that was the transformation when he was tied where the CGI was used. I wish they used practical effects instead. But overall the movie had a great tone to it. The Werewolf was very lethal.
I realy love this movie. It's actually one of my favourite horro movies. (Mabey that's just because I love werewolves.) I realy like the effects and the wolfman's design.
So many elements were borrowed from this horror movie to bloodborne. Fromsoftware did a great job though, at least they have a good taste on aesthetics.
The first kill in the camp didn't make sense since he was surrounded by other people and lit up.If the kill toke place on the outer edge away from light and most people it would have really improved this scene.

Yep. Joe Johnston brings out the best visual details to the storyline.
That jump scare where the constable gets his hand bit is just perfect. The way he reacted 😆

Joe Johnston, director of Jumanji, has an eye candy for visual effects and practical effects.
Yeah, could you imagine if this very movie came out 80 years prior with its modern graphics story digital sound, etc.

Rick Baker making a cameo in the beginning of this scene
@raymondbrereton3298 don't forget the nutty professor 1996
I didn't forget the Nutty Professor.
Fun fact: the bearded guy that the werewolf tackles at the beginning of the scene is Rick Baker.
Also, How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Men in Black film series.
the speed and strength of the lycan was perfectly represented
Those claws through the mouth was deliciously savage
😂 deliciously ?
0:16 I love that
It's funny how that was Rick Baker!
This is one of the best werewolf movie!!

Rick Backer, Dave and Lou Elsey, everyone involved in making those beautiful suits, they’re soooo fkn good. This movies fx have inspired me to no end
Despite the film being bomb at the box office, it won an Oscar for Best Original Make-up Design.
I thoroughly enjoyed this version. Terrific make-up and stylishly filmed.

The best part is that you can tell its Lawrence already because the werewolf has no shirt on and he goes for the neck and he turns them over
This movie was so underrated
Agree this is still and was the best werewolf movie 🎥 of all time. I love benecio del toro

I like how they show that basic bullets do nothing to werewolf.
It can only be killed with silver.
Every time I see wolfman sr.,( sir john) tackle the dude, like a footballer, I'm always flabbergasted and shocked.
It's cause of how fast it was. I'm always like "Damn, this thing can move"
Very fast, merciless and silent 🤫 all in a blink of an eye.
I realy love this movie. It's actually one of my favourite horro movies. (Mabey that's just because I love werewolves.) I realy like the effects and the wolfman's design.
Not even 20 seconds into the scene, it's already tense, a fantastic movie, If you ask me
So many elements were borrowed from this horror movie to bloodborne. Fromsoftware did a great job though, at least they have a good taste on aesthetics.
How do people not see it this awesome movie
I LOVE THIS MOVIE. OBS : ( THE EXTENDED VERSION 👍😆 )
0:04 Rick Baker
0:14
0:55 and 1:43 that was gruesome asf
Very good films 👍🏼
Recuerdo cuando la vi acá en 🇦🇷,en el 2010,muy buena!
The bear didn't die. That's all that matters.
Awesome Movie!!
Aren't all those people gonna turn now?
I don’t think so, because i think that the people that the werewolf attacked are mostly dead, except for the protagonist who got bitten but survived
They had to be bitten and wear the mark. You are not gonna turn if the werewolf cut your arm ( or a part of it ) or even your stomach.
They are killed by the people so they not turned by a werewolf.
And supposedly, in some fiction, another proof that you might become a werewolf is the regeneration of lost limbs or even vital organs
I can't believe we missed out on 'Bear vs. Werewolf' even something brief.
That guy screaming at 1:06 is funny and not scary to me and I can’t pinpoint why🤣🤣🤣🤣
For some messed up reason, the jumpscare at 0:17 was actually funnier than scary.
I wonder how the wolfman would do in a fight against a polar bear
Actually, what did actually happen to that bear in the end? (it wasn't killed).
Idk probably survived
The first kill in the camp didn't make sense since he was surrounded by other people and lit up.If the kill toke place on the outer edge away from light and most people it would have really improved this scene.
Why was there never a second movie of this😮
If that bear decided to fight the wolfman you know damn well it would win
No
Say what? Lmfao nahhhhhhh my bet is the wolf man
Well definitely no, the bear will be ripped apart🤨
力量可能是熊贏,但速度跟反應足夠狼人壓制熊了
Literalmente le tuvo miedo
The berserker monster that i want for sabertooth (marvel films).
Just watched the last voyage of the Demeter and noticed that the Cain from this movie is in TLOD as well
I didn t get that part with the boy . Can someone explain.
Vi esse filme umas cinco vezes
Why did he ran after the monster? Such a stupid and dumb thing to do :-( he knew it was too dangerous!!😢😢
this one belongs the same shelf as the American werewolf in London
If the bear and the wolfman faced each other, who do you think would win?
Wolfman, no contest.
I never heard of that movie :o
I wish I could have seen this when it came out in the theaters. But I was only nine at the time.
How does no one know who Benicio Del Toro is?
Y si se hubiese enfrentado con el oso.. 🤔?
badass
Today is a good day to be a bird I guess because you can fly away and escape death :P ❤
