- there was so much more trouble today than I could show. and its ok you will get an idea as to what went on I had to cut so much out but I did drink a beer at the end of the day to relax. I don't do much drinking ever but today it was a one beer day most days are no beer days.
Wow, this was insane! Keep it up!
That looks actually M10 bolt... which uses 17mm wrench... 😜 Every bolt and nut I have ever bought in Finland has fit the standard. Maybe they sell some crappy chinese bolts in the US...
I noticed the same thing with metric when I worked in a tractor shop! I think their idea is to only need one set of wrenches with using different sizes for bolts and nuts!
Wes, I like these kind of videos where you guys are just yourselves. Always love story time. Thanks for another great video!
Even Napoleon hated the Metric system.
😂
Each time I see a new video, I'm excited!
7/16 bolts piss me off with 5/8 wrench head abs 11/16 nut. At least that’s what’s common here for bolts and the hardware stores.
M10 - 17 mm wrench
M12 - 19 mm wrench 😉
The problem is that m10 is not always a 17 because machine makers can use 18 or 16
Abd john Deere seems to love the 18 mm wrench just to add to the fun !
@claetuswoodroofe: No ISO is always M10 - 16mm , M12 - 18mm
@qwerty: this is old DIN
@@maxpower1721 M10 - 17 mm wrench
M12 - 19 mm wrench
@@maxpower1721 here in Ireland m12 is always 19mm from a bolt supplier unless you order different and m10 is 17 unless ordered differently. M8 will be 13mm unless you are working on a Japanese vehicle then it might have a 12 or 14 mm head
Anyone who hasn't had a bullshit session with metric bolts hasn't had many breakdowns.
Even with the warning, I still jumped when she blew!
Great video Wes, always so enjoy when you post anything, ps You have a great female their hang on to her.
Great fix on the baler and sure helps that you have been running them for a number of years as well.
How come you don't use your hot vulcanizer for tire repairs anymore?
Why aren't you using TirEject anymore?
I feel the pain. We totalled a silage cart out the other day. Snapped the frame right in half, and of course it was loaded, and on the road of all places. Several hrs to shovel it out. Was a fun day..
Thanks for the video.
I belive the idea behind a nut and bolt being different wrench sizes is for fixing something in the field when you only have one set of spanners, otherwise you'd need 2 of the same size and be sh1t outa luck! Lol
Where do you get these bolts? All the bolts and nuts I've bought here in the EU have the same spanner dimension. If it's M12, it's a 19mm wrench, M10 = 17mm, M8 = 13mm and so on. 18 and 16mm spanners are rarely used.
OLF is right. I live in the EU and have observed the same thing. Same size bolt... different head... But that is only a small thing I would say.
I'm more puzzled by OLF's claim about metric bolts coming loose easier. I did not look into the numbers, but I wonder if it has something to do with surface on the threads to make the clamping.
Deer are gonna get ya one way or the other.
Thanks Wes, enjoyed the video a lot !
👍👍😊
Wes now you know the pain Europeans go through trying to figure out nut sizes on Hesston balers
You are having a lot of bad luck with tires lately
William is growing up so fast Wes hi everyone from northwest Missouri ❤😊😊
We use to put patch/sleeve one the outside as well on tyres we couldn’t get,,, works well, 👍😄
A point on the baby powder as opposed to tyre talc, it is easier to put too much powder in and it becomes grit that eats into the tube surprisingly quickly.
One needs to rub the talc quite well all over the tube and cup out any spillages.
Rim makes a nice fire pit or charcoal grill.
Amen brother!!!! Monitor them doing dangerous things to make sure they are as safe as possible. Whomever said 18 for a 12mm has never touched a Toyota. Jeez. Metric usually changes head size depending on brands. Now I will say there is a standardization on the smaller stuff and some of the larger. But it is very common for its ti be different than the head. I honestly wonder if it isn’t in case people don’t have multiple size if wrenches.
Hey Wesley from the video it looks like the exhaust pipe on the 8530 is lose🤷🏻♂️ might wanna give it a shake , it looked that way from the video anyway👍
Trelleborg is a junk tire next time instead of laying the wheel down spin it around so the drop is to the outside and put it on with 2 bolts
was hoping that your dad peek inside the video. The video that influenced me to punch subscribe years ago was the tire repair video with you and your dad . a tractor sidewall repair on the tractor . you had to do some innovative techniques to close up the flapping sidewall
What You need are Nokian Tractor KING tires.
Nokian Tyres Tractor King is an innovative tractor tire for the strongest tractors and demanding terrains in forestry, earthmoving and road construction. The design from all-new tread pattern to fortified carcass is nothing short of revolutionary in a tractor tire.
VERSATILITY
High load capacity, tough construction and durability in high-speed road transitions enable high versatility.
TRACTION
Wide tread and radically increased amount of tractive edges for grip on all terrains.
DURABILITY
Extra strong steel belted radial carcass strengthened with forest tread compound for durability in demanding conditions.
Wes, your son made me laugh so hard. We he said he wasn't William anymore his name was odus. My son came home on day from his grandmothers house and looked at his mom and me and said I don't want to be called Hunter anymore. So we asked what you would like as a new name. His response was Jeremiah. He wanted to be a mountain man. He was serious for about a month, then it was forgotten. Kids got to love them.
Great job wes!!
you have your hard times , but you are a lucky man to have such a pretty lady, that doesn't mind helping you with doing hard work
It’s not William anymore it’s Ernest😂😂❤❤
a 16mm and a 17mm wrench is great, you might not have two of the same size. metric is the best. imagine having two of every standard size wrench.
Can you put tireject in tube?
my mother had her braw strap popped he she hauled off and decked the student. Today nope you;d be either arrested, for assaulting another student and suspended the other might get a slap on the wrist or minor scolding yelled at maybe. Or boys will be boys. bullies in my day start with put downs name calling etc. Then they always escalated it when they couldn’t get a response out of you. i got suspended once for helping a student with palsy protecting her from the school bully. They ripped the walker from her. Teachers never did a thing but went after me.
We you need to blame the EU for the different sizes. The nut and bolt sizes of metric used to follow your standard sizes ie 11/16 would have 17mm equivalent. But as always, they have to interfere and create their own system because ist the only way they feel important 😂
Great video
Good content. 👍
👍🏻🍻
Italian Trelleborgs in my experience are awful, probably something to do with the fact they're rebadged Pirelli tyre designs. We have had better luck with BKT and Ceat tyres.
Good video.
Working with structural steel, the nuts are extra heavy. A 1/2 inch bolt takes a 7/8 on both the nut and bolt head. There is really nothing exceptional about the metric system. The rest of the world just didn't want to follow our lead. Imagine that!
PS. I could swear I heard the plunger klunking like the other time the bearings wore out. I'm probably wrong as I know nothing about balers. I have been watching for years is my only qualification.
It’s always something but life is good now
Trelleborg is the same as mitas and my neighbor threw out 4 tires off his tractor cause they rotted the sidewalls out… pretty expensive tire
You look so much better without the hat!
I don't know where you buy your bolts, but M12 is 19. M10 is 17. And size 16 does not exist
I’m an auto
Mechanic and yes 16 does exist. Mopar aka dodge, ram, jeep, Chrysler, fiat loves to use them
Make “ok so” great again!!!!
“Ok so” counter- 4
Never heard of 12.8…
Don’t you have the vulconizer anymore?
for fun roll the Mrs around in the 🛞
13 mm will work with a 1/2 inch...... the 1/2 is 12.7..... but why not just use a 13mm on 13mm bolt... a 1/2 on 1/2 bolt..... the thread that the problems..... I have a leyland 270.... imperial.... in my Kubota... it'll metric..... on the 270... I use inches... and Kubota.... I use metric......you could.paint one set green.... and paint one red....😂
How's you dad doing hope well
sixtyfiveford has a video titled Can NEW Tread be put on a Tire? custom tread patterns!! where he uses a glue to put tread on an ATV tire. He's also used it to patch the outside of a tire where it had a large hole.
Hey Wes is your dad ever been on your videos from Gary
Comment.
Nice to see with all these punctures, your not deflated 😅
Wes I assume you have a metric adjustable spanner!!😅
Sweet Plymouth
My father always complained that metric threads came lose. We have gate gudgeons on concrete posts and the metric threads are useless, only get a few years and never tight enough.
Dad taught me that you patch if the hole is on the driving surface; but you replace the tire if the hole is on the sidewall. Yes, tractor tires are different. Yes, you can add an inner tube. But you drive these tires over asphalt roads on hot summer days. That rubber is going to get hot and soft. The integrity of the sidewall has been damaged. I would be concerned about a failure of the rubber while going quickly down the road. Is the cost savings of an expensive tire worth the risk to the tractor, any attached implement, and the lives of the driver and passenger? Penny wise, pound foolish IMHO.
For car tires, absolutely. Heavy tractor tires can be patched on the sidewall as long as you use the patch equipment designed for it and follow the tire manufacturer's requirements for the sidewall repair.
This isn't a car tire blowing out on the interstate. It's a tractor lol. They aren't very fast and even if it did blow apart going down the road you aren't going to lose control and crash the machine lol. Also very unlikely because tractor tires don't really blow apart like car tires do. There is a lot more rubber there and it's low pressure high volume. It's perfectly fine but you should feel free to purchase a new tire for him. It's probably only $4,000.
my mother was that way monkey see monkey do. She accidentally killed a bird with a bb gun. cried cried. She claims she was shooting at tree berries. Then turns around with a cap gun sticks the barrel into the parakeet cage bang heart attack bird. 🐦 to this day minus some skeet shooting my parents did will not touch a gun. even when my father and i went to the gun range before stuff became un uptainium price wise no primers to be had. Yes she shot a .22 few times never got the bug. My dad his rules to this day no you’re not allowed. Driving, dating, marriage, children not even remotely i’m not raising them, 43 now I will drive you where you need to go. so my books theirs good parenting verses none.
