Interesting that you run a Z1 coil. Have you ridden a Zeb and do you rate the Z1 as better? I have an air Z1 and I’m tossing between doing the coil conversion or buying a new Zeb for 3 times the cost of the coil conversion. Thanks.
Yes, I rode a Zeb Ultimate for a year on my previous bike, then I installed this Z1 Coil on my previous bike. I'd like to have one of this but I'm in doubt about the size... I'm 170cm tall and I should choose the size M (talking about 29er). Would this bike fit me? Any suggestions? Thanks
I’m not an expert on bike sizing; however, yes, I do believe that it will fit you well. Ideally someone else closer to your height can chime in and confirm. You can also contact Canyon and ask them directly.
The standover height is very low on this frame Plus I think the reach is appropriate for your height.
I am 170 and I can confirm for me the 27.5/S feels spot on. Even feels a bit towards an M due to travel/slackness compared to a more enduro focused bike. What did you choose?
Well if your downhill riding the heavyweight of that bike would be quite an advantage
I agree, the added weight certainly helps with providing a planted feel on trail
Is anyone able to tell me what bike this is as in like cf 7 or al 5 i'd like to know cheers
Torque AL 5 - I have a few videos reviewing it on my channel
@@GlobalTrailGuide Cheers bud. I just noticed it was written in the description 5 min after i commented, my bad aha. Looking to get one of these for my first full suspension
@@alfredatkin2697 no worries! I’m certainly a fan!
Come to the UK we'll hit up some muddy steep tech 🤣
I like the sound of that! I was considering visiting London, is there any proper riding around there or is it all elsewhere?
@@GlobalTrailGuide London is a shit hole you'll probably end up getting robbed and stabbed haha... Shropshire, Wales, Peak District, Lake District, County Durham and pretty much anywhere in Scotland 👍
@@GlobalTrailGuide loads of vids on YT your have to do your research, I'd probably base myself in Manchester and tour UK from there in an ideal world
Noice 😋
Thanks for watching!
this vs the yeti sb165 go!
Haven’t ridden one, so it’s hard to comment. One thing is certain, Torque AL is way cheaper 😅 and still rides great!
I’ve ridden sb150, and torque is obviously way more rowdy, but not as well rounded.
@@GlobalTrailGuide heyyyy thanks for replying man ... Ask you , I'm more concerned with safety than budget , I've been on a steel hardcorehardtail for 4 years , never been on a full sus.
Should I go for carbon or AL ? Torque is on my list
@@rinky_dinky my thought process has always been: Carbon if you’re trying to save weight and have willingness to spend the extra cash. Aluminum if you want to save some money and don’t mind the small weight penalty. If I’m getting an XC bike, I want carbon. But for rowdy trails, I don’t mind aluminum and the weight penalty.
Both aluminum and carbon frames can fail; though aluminum often has a better chance of surviving an impact (rock strikes, crashing into a tree, etc).
How tall are you and what size bike did you get
6’ 3.5” with super long limbs, XL
@@GlobalTrailGuide ahhh yep that is what i am cheers
Not gonna lie… that’s the ugliest bike I’ve ever seen - lol - but great video and if it rides THAT GOOD, who cares what it looks like 😎
It’s a divisive color for sure, but I love it 💜 and thanks man!
Jit trippen, it looks pretty sick
Not going to disagree. Very glad there's a silver and black option.
There's no footage of you sitting and pedaling (flat or uphill)
You even mentioned the seat post angle but we can't even see your body position. I don't even know the frame size or your height. Is this a new megalong canyon also?
All these reviews are barely surface level insight, if you're trying to show me a $2-5000 bike I'm not convinced
Thanks for your feedback, I’ll make improvements for the future.
There are some shots of me seated and climbing, albeit they’re quick, but on camera things never look as steep as they are. Additionally, it’s very hard to get side profile shots on trails that are in the woods 🤷♂️
In my previous released video of the bike, I mentioned I’m 193cm and riding an XL.
Lastly, I’m just a fellow mtber, I don’t sell bikes and it doesn’t matter to me whether you buy a $2-5000 bike or not 😂
Not all rides start with a climb #ionlyridepark
I support this

What psi were you running when you got a pinch flat?
19, now running about 22. I had been running 19 or even a bit lower on my 27.5x2.6 with the same type of insert, but the 29x2.4 plus the speed I was carrying wasn’t happy apparently 😅
So hows the cable routing ? and cable rattling?
