I’m enjoying this series so far. I appreciate the recommendations as well as the banter. 👍
As for my own underrated game, I think it's been mentioned already in the comments, but it really needs to be mentioned more often. I literally never see anyone talk about it! It's Horace, a masterpiece of British gaming, the best platformer I've played in a long while. A fantastic story (that'll get you teary eyed), some of the next gameplay I've ever experienced for a 2D platformer, fantastic pixel graphics, cool references to gaming and pop culture in general... It's one of the best games I've ever played, and I never hear anyone talk about it. It's such a shame such a masterpiece is getting so little love!
Chants of Senaar is a stunning game. It really surprised me as it was longer and much more complex than I initially expected.
I loved chants of senaar so much!! It is such a hidden gem of a game.
Would love it if you did a 'But We Love It Anyway' video, with games that aren't 'good' as such but you love anyway. I'm thinking of things like Little Dragon's Cafe, which is objectively not great but I really love regardless. It would be really cool to see a list like that!
We've had something along those lines in the backend for some time as it happens...
@@nintendolife How exciting! I'll be looking out for that, then 😄
awesome video i like this type of them can't wait for #3
My underrated hidden gem for the Switch is definitely Void Terrarium!
I've been working through Pentiment and enjoying it so far. The Forest Quartet sounds amazing. I'll definitely be checking it out. Thanks for mentioning it!
Great video! I've had Pentiment on my to-do list since the Xbox release, but I've been extra tempted to push it up and grab it on the Switch so I can play it in bed handheld. Chants of Sennar was one that I've seen a lot of high praise for and sounds interesting to me, but I had no idea there was a demo for it. Downloading it right now, thanks for the info.
Have you noticed that when talking to the printers, their speech is not scrawled by a quill but tapped by a type press block… amazing attention to detail…
Pentiment was really damn cool, a little slow in some areas but the writing was really solid AND the setting and visuals are so unique too.
I've got Chants of Sennaar on my wishlist. Loved the demo, and being a conlanger myself it's definitely in my area of interest. I'll definitely get the full version soon.
And now I'll add Forest Quartet to my wishlist as well. It looks really interesting and the short run time is a win for me!
I really enjoyed Chants of Sennaar, and while Forest Quartet doesn't seem like something I'd be interested in personally, I'm definitely gonna get Pentiment. Thanks for the recs!
Chants of Senaar is amazing. My husband bought it and I am so glad he did it, I had such a blast.
Pentiment is a lot of fun. It has a big of that BG3 quality, where you want to play it again with different conversation options to see where the story goes.
Horace. 10/10 scores, difficult but fast paced and rewarding platforming, cheap, always on sale, like 15 hours for me, jawdropping story that will stay with you, absolutely amazing and NEVER talked about
I recently finished Aka on Switch. It was amazing! Chants of Sennaar is already on my wish list, and I'll be adding the Forest Quartet to my wish list shortly.
Bayonetta origins
Ok lol
Thank you for the suggestions.
Takeshi and Hiroshi is an INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE NICREDIBLE switch game. Its short, but really tackles the struggles home and school like of an older brother thats a game developer and is really struggling with the stress and anxiety of his younger brother who is sick with something and keeps going to hospital for it. Its a short game, but beautiful and powerful. I absolutely adored this title. I saw it in a nintendo direct years ago and scooped it up as soon as it came out.
Your description for this video should include links and names of these games
Wow, great choices! I want to try all of these.
- Bombrush Cyberfunk
- Carrion
- World of Horror
- Boltgun 40K
- Quake
Already heard of Pentiment and Chants but this is first time I heard of Forest Quartet. Thanks for the recommendation ❤
I've started playing sword art alicization lycoris and if you can just get through the long cutscenes, the game play and exploration is actually a lot of fun. I'm going to download the others when they are on sale.
I would say those games are pretty under rated for anyone else in a gamer drought currently. Keep posting these videos to help us through the drought nintendo life! You guys are the best nintendo channel
#1 - *ASTRAL CHAIN!!!*
You know what’s a rough little gem that I get hours of enjoyment from? Empire of Sin. iirc it’s switch port got mixed reviews but With the dlc it’s not too bad and there’s something about blowing up a rival distillery that makes bedtime oh so more sweet.
The Audio Files did an interview with the composer for Chants of Sennaar it’s p dope
I barely ever see Super Crazy Rhythm Castle mentioned anywhere, but it's my recommendation. It definitely earns the 'super crazy' descriptor, and is a whole heap of fun whether played solo or in Overcooked!-esque multiplayer. As the name alludes to, the gameplay is music-driven and some of the tracks can best be described as pesky earworms. The writing's pretty funny and the tasks varied enough to keep you interested through the 30 levels. Performance on Switch leaves a little to be desired, but overall it's well worth playing if you like co-op multiplayer and/or rhythm games. Surely Felix can't sleep on this one? 🙂
Forest Quartit
a good underappreciated game is macbat 64
Is Chants of Sennaar getting a physical release?
I’m a little bummed, because I got sucked into watching a playthrough of Chants of Sennar, and now all the great surprises are spoiled for me (my own fault). The scope is so much bigger than the first 30 min of gameplay let on.
Railgrade. It's a very addictive game
I've played and loved Chants of Sennaar... on Steam but it's the same game and I only looked up a guide three times and one of the puzzles I still don't understand even after being given the answer. I know there's logic to it but my brain couldn't comprehend it.
Pentiment is lowkey goty 2022
Another code reconnection is another and appreciated game on switch, along with Mario versus donkey Kong and I would say Prince of Persia and the lost Crown.
When are you gonna cover Inscryption?
I dunno why but I knew that Pentiment were listed 😅
Thanks Jim.... TH'IM
Stray Gods
"There has been a murder!"
Did any of these get an actual release or are they all just downloads?
Chants of Sennaar is not for everybody. It is for people who like linguistics and decrypting. Very nice game.
Bedgar that you?!
Preordered the limited run games cartridge Version because i ama sucker for physical Media. Now i have to wait 5 months
any good mario day sales
Pentiment is underappreciated again? It is underappreciated at Xbox as well.
What the hell is a 'fortnite?'
Broforce
so good 💖💛🧡💖❤💝
Mario Odyssey, Everybody 1-2-Switch, BOTW
I would love to get chants of sennaar but their publisher tried to get unfettered access to my information just to play the demo so until the get a new publisher they won't be seeing my money.
There is absolutely no decent reason for me to agree to that just to play a single player game.
Pentiment looks like it could be good but it comes from MS that made it clear that they will remain silent when one of its subsidiaries endorses grooming.
I honestly don't remember gaming companies being this scummy when I was a kid.
The suggestions are lot of duds for me. I recommend the following:
Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth
Project Warlock
Fox N Forests
slow day huh?
Pentiment is overrated I’m sorry it’s not a bad game but it’s just mid
I loved it but now I have read your comment, I have changed my mind. Thank you for your input. Where would I have been going through life thinking that Pentiment was a good game? You saved me.
