- Our Journey across Albania continues with a visit to Albania's most stunning Beach in Ksamil near Saranda. Ksamil Beach and the surrounding islands are often regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Europe. And for a reason. With its stunning white sand and turquoise waters, Ksamil is often compared to being a European Carribean.
Nearby Ksamil Beach is also Butrint, one of the most prominent archeological site of the Classical era and definitely woth visiting as a day trip from Saranda.

Yes seeing Corfu from Saranda was such a beautiful sight :) It was chilling seeing all the negative aspects of the past regime in the museum in Tirana, let's hope it never repeats!

It really is, looking forward to getting back to visit the mountains in the North some day too! Vlore looked great too, we only drove past it on our way from Dhermi to Tirana but certainly would have loved to stop by and explore :)
