Really i would like travel there but is not economical posible, Argentina is going down🤣🤣🤣 dollar climbed and our money falled, but we wait change the economical situation.

Haha I am Albanian and shamefully I must admit I have never been there but, it is on my list. By the way I know in summer time it gets crazy crowded there and prices are a bit salty haha and I say this by US standards. I thought you guys had a splash in those beautiful turquoise waters!

Butrint is expensive because it's the main site in Albania, holding a lot of national history. It was originally built by the Trojans/Dardanians (Kosovars) after 1.200 BC which is when Troy was destroyed, which was on the northwest Turkish coast, hence the name of the Dardanelles straight. The large cyclopean walls are from that period, the other buildings with smaller stones/bricks are from the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines who built over it. Butrint was supposed to be the new Troy, Rome, but was abandoned because the oracle of Apollonia advised so, and Dardanians went to Kosovo while a smaller part led by Aeneas went on to built Rome in 800 BC after a journey around the Mediterranean. It has a Zen feeling because cities used to be built on places with a certain positive energy and certain shape such as Rome or Berlin. That was the beginning of the Celtic expansion from central Europe to Western Europe led by Trojan princes, as the myths and legends tell us.

by the way, Butrint was an ancient Greek colony, like many other cities of the Adriatic... next time, look at wikipedia, UNESCO, Britannica etc.

Oh, and next time you are back in Tirana....Delibros has some great burgers...They are moderately newer, hand crafted sandwiches and so delicious....
