Colm McGuiness, a through-and-through Irishman, pulls off the cleanest Southerner villian voice I've heard, not too much on the accent, but jus' enough. Hats off to you.
As a Louisiana girl I agree, but I'll admit his yank pronunciation of certain words threw me a bit. That was my fav part of the original actor they picked was he managed to sound pretty Deep South authentic despite not being Southern 😅.
Another fantastic cover! I’m highly enjoying your Disney Villain saga you’ve been doing. I would absolutely LOVE to hear either “In The Dark of The Night” from Anastasia, or “Where No One Goes” from How to Train Your Dragon 2!
Keith David singing always amazes me, because I know him from playing thel vadam, the Arbiter from Halo, and the way he voiced him wouldn't lead me to think he could sing a masterpiece like this.... and seeing Colm reproduce that depth amazes me... Colm, how do you not shred your vocal cords doing such deep voices?
@@Shinzon23 ok im glad they put the uniterupted song on likes of spottify but could they not "Juust liike...DERE EE IS!! AND THEY'RE FUCKIN SINGIN?!! "
YOUR DEEP VOICE!!!!!😍,I was just watching princess and the frog with my little sister today😅I always write that every your cover is awesome "as always"😂,but that's the best definition.
Loving this batch of Disney songs! I'm so torn over whether I'd love to hear you do "Gaston" or "Evermore" from Beauty and the Beast, maybe the latter because you do such a great growl. :D
Noooo, ooonne, goes low like Colm, does awesome accents like Colm, can rattle your bones with ease like Colm.... Yeah, my money's on the 'Gaston' song.
Colm’s much deeper and longer souther drawl compared to Keith David makes this version of the shadow man feel more like a huckster/gambler as opposed to a voodoo doctor. I think that’s a great little difference between interpretations that makes both versions stand stronger side by side.
Aaauuuuuggggghhhhh ❤❤❤ Amazing as always! I've always been impressed with your range and breath control, but this one blew me out of the water! Wonderful deep resonance, clean growls, and the emphasis on the color notes! 😍 Your songs are always such a treat to listen to with noise canceling headphones!❤
While not Disney, I'd love to hear your take on "It Feels so Good to be Bad" from All Dogs Go to Heaven 2. It's definitely up there as one of the more evil villain songs. I mean, it's the devil himself who sings :) Alternatively "Toxic Love" from Ferngully (the full version ^^)
Colm, you are perhaps the most skilled and versatile singers and overall musical performers it's ever been my pleasure to witness. I say that with no attempts at flattery or embellishment, just my honest opinion. Thank you for your work.
I requested this on the Be Prepared video knowing it would be amazing but... holy hell, Brother Bear, you blew this out of the park! 10/10 Im gonna be jamming to this forever
You know, I'd really love to hear your take on some Aussie folk music. Hearing 'the man from snowy river', or the 'the drover's dream' would be just awesome. Same with Waltzing Matilda, but that's kind of a low hanging fruit.
One of my favourite Disney villain songs of all time, but something I'm going to praise as much as the quality of the cover here is just how much passion and pleasure you clearly throw into every performance. We should all be so lucky as to love what we do even half as much. ☺
Duuuuuuuude this is amazing. Thank you for the birthday present. I know that you had no way of knowing, but this is exactly the type of thing I love waking up to.
PHENOMENAL!!!! Colm well on his way to being a full-blown villain soon. Speaking of classic Disney villains, could you cover Oogie Boogie's Song cover? Its a bass classic, and your aesthetic would be absolutely perfect for it
I never thought anyone would cover this song. I’m definitely impressed. I love this song and the movie, and I know it doesn’t get enough appreciation. So thanks for doing a cover of it!
First of all, great job on the video. The accent, the hand movements, everything is great. Second, I've been watching this off and on for the past week, and it *just* hit me. The Chorus has a different lighting scheme, making the "friends with lights on the other side". Don't know if that was intentional, but it made ME giggle with delight, so well done with that my dude.
Been loving the Disney arc but have also been revisiting the Irish classics! Ever thought about doing a recording of Finnegan's Wake? That would be a real treat 😁
I love this song, did NOT know I needed this. You are the best, Colm. Keep up your amazing work. Kinda sounds like Author Morgan trying to sing it, still great though
Yeeeeees. One of my favorites. A great cover as always, Colm!
Colm McGuiness, a through-and-through Irishman, pulls off the cleanest Southerner villian voice I've heard, not too much on the accent, but jus' enough.
Hats off to you.
A lot of the deep south accents have Irish roots so honestly this is the perfect accent for him to do and he did a very good job
@@seanknight4146 You know, that is a great point! No wonder it was uncanny when I heard you!
not just a southerner a louisiannan, they've got a special twist
Your voice will be perfect for Prince of Egypt songs!
The Plagues song and Through Heaven's Eyes
Ohhooho YESS
YO, I'd love to hear him do some of those.
OH!! Surely it is!
I was actually thinking the same thing. Imagine Colm singing The Plagues or Deliver Us
As a Louisiana man, I 100% approve of this cover. Excellent piece of art.
2nded
Thirded!😄
Alright I'm holding you to this let's hear it
As another Louisiana man, I 100% approve this approval. Excellent approval work.
As a Louisiana girl I agree, but I'll admit his yank pronunciation of certain words threw me a bit. That was my fav part of the original actor they picked was he managed to sound pretty Deep South authentic despite not being Southern 😅.
I mean, Poor unfortunate souls in a deep male version from Colm would be amazing.
Damn… now i’m curious what Colm would sound singing Savages from pocahontas? would he try to sound like Governor Radcliffe?
Agreed.
What's your favourite disney villain track?
GO! GO! GO!
putting in a vote for poor unfortunate souls 👀
Poor Unfortunate Soul 🐙
Be Prepared or Poor Unfortunate Souls ❤
Friends on the other side, Gaston, be prepared, so many to choose from
Probably shiny from moana, but poor unfortunate souls is always good man 🤙
Another fantastic cover! I’m highly enjoying your Disney Villain saga you’ve been doing. I would absolutely LOVE to hear either “In The Dark of The Night” from Anastasia, or “Where No One Goes” from How to Train Your Dragon 2!
In the Dark of the Night, YES!
As many suggested Into the Dark of the Night I really hope it's high up to be his next cover
Ya, I think he would do "Where No One Goes" very well after listening to his "Touch The Sky" one from Brave.
Ya, I think he would do "Where No One Goes" very well after listening to his "Touch The Sky" one from Brave.
Wild card out of Anastasia: Once Upon a December. Tons of potential on the bass end of things.
The deep graveley parts of the song sound so much like Tahm Kench and I'm all for it.
Oh, good heavens, Halo! I thought at first you meant The Arbiter from CHESS! 😂
I always think of him as Goliath from Gargoyles
Keith David has been killing it in Hazbin Hotel on Amazon Prime! Such a good voice.
@devonskinner409 yeah I laughed for 20 minutes after "loser like me"
@@Shinzon23 ok im glad they put the uniterupted song on likes of spottify but could they not "Juust liike...DERE EE IS!! AND THEY'RE FUCKIN SINGIN?!! "
That break between "ARE YOU"....."REAAAAAADY?" always terrified the kids in the family - they knew SOMETHING was up.
Keep the villain songs coming. This one was amazing!
I am also from Louisiana and love this
What really sold this song in the movie was the insane visuals. What sells this cover is how well your performance was.
2:49 I just got soooo many goosebumps from that “Yes.” Holy shit!!! Love it! 🖤💀
Incredible as always. Loved the blend of southern and Irish.
YOUR DEEP VOICE!!!!!😍,I was just watching princess and the frog with my little sister today😅I always write that every your cover is awesome "as always"😂,but that's the best definition.
Hear, hear!! 😊
Loving this batch of Disney songs! I'm so torn over whether I'd love to hear you do "Gaston" or "Evermore" from Beauty and the Beast, maybe the latter because you do such a great growl. :D
Evermore would be amazing from him.
Noooo, ooonne, goes low like Colm, does awesome accents like Colm, can rattle your bones with ease like Colm....
Yeah, my money's on the 'Gaston' song.
It's so trippy watching this guy sing...Like how is that voice coming out of this dude? Crazy good!
The Disney train continues!! Phenomenal cover of a fantastic villain song. Well done as always, Colm!!!
Literally one of my favorite villain songs other than Be Prepared that you did. Love it~
You do quite a good Louisiana accent 😊.
Love this song and your interpretation of it!
Colm’s much deeper and longer souther drawl compared to Keith David makes this version of the shadow man feel more like a huckster/gambler as opposed to a voodoo doctor.
I think that’s a great little difference between interpretations that makes both versions stand stronger side by side.
I have heard so many of your sounds so many times, and yet I am *still* surprised and impressed witg how deep you can sing
Man, that Gravel in your voice gets me every time. I have yet to ind something you've done that I don't like. Great Work, Colm.
I absolutely love this song. It goes so well with your voice lol
that's one impressive deep voice
It's amazing to see and hear someone with so much range. Best I have is ranging from 12-year-old to Mickey Mouse. XD
Keep up the amazing work.
Wonderfully done as usual. 🥰 Keep up the amazing work Colm!
never ceases to amaze how colm can sing in practically in any style or accent! and well too!
I love that you covered this, it's my favourite song from the princess and the frog and you killed it! ☠️
I'm really waiting for your next original. Your covers are always impressive and just great but oh boy Now Colly is a masterpiece
Facts
Colm's villain songs are next tier!
this song has a Disney vault approval.
Aaauuuuuggggghhhhh ❤❤❤
Amazing as always! I've always been impressed with your range and breath control, but this one blew me out of the water!

With that deep voice, it sounds literally like the Devil is here to make an offer we can't pass up but with a high price.
I don't believe I've seen Princess and the frog, but this is what I imagine the villain sounds like. Absolutely amazing cover.
I could have sworn that was James Earl Jones covering the song! Blown away as always by Colm's work!
Always a good day when Colm posts on his Disney Villain Arc
That's what we had left to hear, jazzy Colm! Great performance!
That little bit of rasp/growl is the perfect accent to this!
Sounds like he was trying to narrarate a ford commercial and got lost in Disney channel
(No hate, dude has an amazing voice)
This is amazing, as I expected. Your facial expressions are always a treat!
You have a perfect voice for this character
I think i need be prepared now
He did that one already if u didn't know 😀. It was awesome
1:50 Eh, sad but true.
Your voice here is perfect!
I requested this on the Be Prepared video knowing it would be amazing but... holy hell, Brother Bear, you blew this out of the park!
10/10 Im gonna be jamming to this forever
you can even sing wonderfully in a completely different accent! your stuff is always amazing
I was waiting for this song! So glad this turned out INCREDIBLE!
Great cover! Would love to see you tackle a few songs from the musical "Hadestown" if it's not already on your radar
His voice is so deep it doesn't seem real, so beautiful. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
You know, I'd really love to hear your take on some Aussie folk music. Hearing 'the man from snowy river', or the 'the drover's dream' would be just awesome. Same with Waltzing Matilda, but that's kind of a low hanging fruit.
Yes better than the actual film that needs to be forgotten forever and ever
My daughter's been hooked on this movie for a bit now, and this is easily one of my favorite songs from the movie. Nice cover

Happy birthday
The grit you add to it is incredible!
AWEWEWHWHWH R U JOKING YOURE LITERALLY ON A SPEEDRUN TO SING ALL MY FAVOURITE DISNEY SONGS THIS IS ALL I COULVED EVER WANTED
The range of this mans voice makes it so much better.
Toxic Love from Ferngully would be an amazing cover!!!
Your range with your voice is always amazing to listen to. Thank you for the song.
Awesome cover! =3
PHENOMENAL!!!! Colm well on his way to being a full-blown villain soon.
Speaking of classic Disney villains, could you cover Oogie Boogie's Song cover? Its a bass classic, and your aesthetic would be absolutely perfect for it
I hope he does this! It has such a range, i think he would absolutely nail it
Omg! The best villain song!
This guy's voice is international
It's eerie how well he pulls this song off. Bravo!
I never thought anyone would cover this song. I’m definitely impressed. I love this song and the movie, and I know it doesn’t get enough appreciation. So thanks for doing a cover of it!
Love your voice! 😊 I saw someone else mention it, but you might enjoy Toxic Love from Ferngully.
I have been looking forward for this video and please continue
I think colm is going through a bit of a Disney song phase right now
I mean, I'm not complaining
I love feeling like a villain
A rich southern drawl with excellent bass.
I didn't know I needed this until I got it. Always loved this song, and you just blew it out of the water!! Awesome work!
Sir, sir, you got a license for that voice? Cuz its too damn good to be legal XD Well done on this cover dood!
First of all, great job on the video. The accent, the hand movements, everything is great.

Wow! Wow! Wow! That was the best cover version of anything I heard Colm McGuinness sing! That was absolutely fantastic! 😃
Oh my gosh check out his cover of What Could Have Been it’s also so so good!!!
Was really hoping you would do this absolutely amazing thank you
I read yesterday that colm got this song suggested and wanted him to sing it so much and now it's as good as I imagined it to be
With this ongoing pure villainy, I can't help but think of a rendition "Father knows best"... That would be awesome *-*
That's a real solo musical! Great work
Another AMAZING Cover!! Love it, new favorite song
My favorite villain song! It's literally like a deal with the devil! 😃
Oh YES!! villain era colm has been so🤌🤌🤌 not to mention the super growly bass in this one?? gd. how hungover did you have to be, mate? lmao
They should cast you as the next Disney Villain. Love it!
You decided to sing all the Disney songs. WELL! We approve of this! Your voice is beautiful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Yeah!!!! One of my favorite Disney songs.
These disney covers make me so happy
Потрясающе как и всегда!❤
Been loving the Disney arc but have also been revisiting the Irish classics! Ever thought about doing a recording of Finnegan's Wake? That would be a real treat 😁
You make Keith David proud, Colm. 💃🏼
"Poor unfortunate souls" would sound amazing 😁😁
Badass. Also, Southern Colm McGuinness is frickin awesome.
I love this song, did NOT know I needed this. You are the best, Colm. Keep up your amazing work. Kinda sounds like Author Morgan trying to sing it, still great though
I would love to see you sing Valhalla Calling
Jesus this is so deep I feel like it's coming straight from the intestines.
Colm looks and sounds like a Mafia boss. I had no idea he could carry a song in a deep American accent. Props.
This is great. Always cracked me up thinking of this song as the intro to a DND session 1.
하.. 진짜 목소리 너무 좋아 어떤 노래를 부르든 목소리 땜에 다 좋을거야
